We Dig Your Dog, Inc.

We've been bringing our 13 year old English Pointer to We Dig Your Dog for more than a year.  Nell acts like it's her second home.  She goes one day a week for play-dates and for overnights when we travel.  Each of the folks that work there could not be nicer and know Nell and her funny personality.  Cindy and her husband are kind and professional to work with.   I cannot recommend them enough. 1000% plus I would. I never met such caring individuals for these dogs. I have to say they spoil them BIG TIME!! Where else would you find doggie bunk beds with doggie beds onto top to relax or sleep, or a huge room and back yard with things for the dogs to be free and have fun! !! WDYD has been AMAZING for our dog. Our dog couldn't be happier there! We pull up and she knows she's going to have the best day and be loved and well taken care of. Overnights there are a blast too. When we pick our dog up, she comes home and naps! It's a beautiful thing! She's exhausted from all the fun she had there. I trust them fully and recommend them to anyone looking for daycare and/or boarding. More...

THEY PUT A SHOCK COLLAR ON MY DOG without my knowledge or consent. I only discovered it when my husband picked up our dog, Beans, a little early and caught the employee removing the collar.

I called and spoke to Cindy, the owner, who said it was necessary and that they were using shock collars on a number of dogs because they are getting complaints from the nearby office building(s) about the barking.

We were never notified about an issue with his barking previously, nor have we had a problem with it at other boarding facilities we have used, but apparently it was soooo bad that they felt justified in using a shock collar on my sweet doggo without even telling me there was a problem!

Obviously, neither this location, nor the owner are suited for doggie daycare or boarding. I am appalled that We Dig Your Dog would inflict this stress and pain on my Beansy and I hope this review prevents others from a similar situation. More...

I understand that you have had a negative experience with We Dig Your Dog, and I’d like to address your concerns directly and honestly. —We did use a bark collar on your dog, but I believed I had spoken to your husband prior to it and had your permission. I was mistaken, which I apologize for. —There are no set pick up and drop off times, so we are not aware of exactly when clients are picking up their pups. The employee removed the collar for pick up, as would normally happen, but was not hiding it. We do not hide the fact that we use bark collars. —As a dog care company with an outdoor play area, we are very aware of the proximity of our neighbors and do not want anyone irritated by excessive barking. —Different daycare situations cause different reactions in dogs. We have a very active and playful daycare and some dogs bark incessantly when they are excited or playing. We exhaust all other measures including: water bottles, switching play areas, switching playmates, and distracting with a ball or toy. It ha always been our policy to contact owners prior to trying a bark collar and I believed that I already had your permission. I apologize for my mistake. —We have a very well-run and happy daycare in which dogs are free from crates and runs and also free to roam our outside play yard. A person is with our dogs 24 hours a day and also sleeps with boarders at night. Everything we do is for the safety, comfort and happiness of our clients. —As stated under our “Dog Walking/Daycare/Boarding Agreement” the words, “We will use a bark collar…” that Ms. Russell highlighted, are to inform owners and any individual questions will be answered. I will add to that wording so that clients fully understand that it is our policy to ask permission before using any type of bark collar.

They are amazing and take great care of my dog! One day my dog was very sick and I had to go to work for a few hours. They took her for me and took great care of her. We boarded our papillon here while visiting the area. I was happy with the personal touch, the flexibility and the experience. Felt comfortable that my baby was in good hands. Nice large facility. Excellent place. Extremely nice people who treat your dog as if they were their own. I trust leaving my dog with them and I know they treat the dogs well because every time my dog gets out of the car he runs to their door, excited for a fun day!

The new facility is fantastic!!! ... Very well maintained and each area is well supervised. We Dig Your Dog has been fantastic with Lucy and my mom’s dachshunds. I can always leave the dogs there knowing they are being well cared for, and for my younger dog, Lucy, well exercised. Cindy and her staff are extremely friendly, personable, and passionate about what they do. Additionally, Cindy is always very communicative over the phone with making arrangements for the dogs. Lucy is always slow to warm up to new situations and the staff helped her join the daycare “pack” very smoothly at her own comfort level. Now, Lucy can’t stop wagging her tail in the car just when we turn down a road close to the facility. The hours for pick up and drop off are VERY flexible, which helps me a lot because my schedule is always all over the place. I HIGHLY recommend Cindy from We Dig Your Dog!!! She has provided fabulous care to all my dogs, big and small!! She is the type of doggie caretaker who treats your dog like her own! !! My doggies are sad to come back home after being spoiled by Cindy!!! I have never met a dog walker/care provider who treats dogs so amazingly! When my dogs stay overnight they get the run of her house (including beds), full day of exercise (walks/runs), and spoiled with treats! She can/will send text message updates about your dog during the day!! Absolutely fantastic to be able to go to work and/or travel and not worry if your dog is happy!! We moved into the area about 10 months ago and immediately began searching for dog-walking and daytime activities for our beloved dog Mabel. Sabine and Cindy made a point of stopping by the house to introduce themselves and meet Mabel and an immediate bond was formed. Since then we've only had the best experiences with Let's Go for A Walk and their loving and dedicated team of Eric, Allie, Brittany and Linnea. Now, I write this through tears after Mabel has been diagnosed with cancer and reflect back upon these past 10 months and the care Let's Go for a Walk has provided her. They are not just dog walkers or daycare operators, they are dog surrogates who have have loved and looked after my dog with the same purpose and care as I have. They've called and texted their concern, offered advice and shared experiences during this time and dutifully reported on her health and well being during these days and supplemented her meals. Most importantly they've provided Mabel with all the love and support I could not while at work. I will never be able to thank them enough.
