Not only did these guys turn around our corporate video in less than 48 hours, they nailed it on the FIRST try. (And we have high high standards with a side of picky! ) We were left baffled by how clearly Dave and the team encapsulated what we were trying to convey as a company and how they injected true life, color, and energy into our video through their post work. This review is from the perspective of my internship with Waves Media over the summer, and not as a client. That said David and Jon were awesome to work for, both being extremely talented video producers who were very knowledgeable and gave great insight about how I could better my own skills. I was able to accompany them on several location shoots were I acted as PA, in addition to working in their studio to learn how to best light and setup for shots. I wrote scripts for behind-the-scenes videos, edited in Adobe Premiere, and wrote blog articles for the website blog. Overall my time there was enriching and rewarding, with both Dave and Jon helping give me guidance, while giving me the freedom to experience and learn on my own. We worked with Jon on a music video project. We can’t speak enough towards Waves’ quality of work and their skill level. We had such a wonderful experience with Waves Media and are so glad we hired them to capture our wedding day. David was incredibly responsive and helpful during the planning process. On the day of our wedding he worked very well with our photographer to capture every moment while staying behind the scenes. We honestly forgot he was there! And then the final products (short, feature and full events) were incredible. David weaved together the shots in the most beautiful way. We added on to our package (after receiving the short) because we were so happy with his work. Watching our parents view the footage for the first time, made it worth every penny. Waves Media was great to work with on our wedding day. We had known two previous couples that had used their services and after seeing their videos, we knew they were the videographers that we wanted to hire. They were so friendly right from the first email correspondence. David and I had a great initial conversation to gauge what me and my husband where looking for in a video. We were then able to have a skype call a few weeks before the wedding to go over all the nitty gritty details. David and his assistant were at the venue early and were ready to start filming right away. They were never in the way and I actually forgot they were there. It was a very cold snowy day and David was kind enough to accompany us outside for additional footage. Waves really listened to our wants/needs and made sure that they were met. The turnaround time on the videos was great as well. We were so happy with the finish product and would not have changed a thing. It is great to not only have our ceremony and reception on film, but they also capture scenes from our cocktail hour, which we did not attend. It was so great to see some many of our guests on camera and it is something that we will enjoy for years to come. I work for a college in the Boston area. I have used WAVES for fundraising campaigns, award ceremonies, television ads, website infomercials on our academic programs, and for social media videos. We have created an entire YouTube channel with WAVES' work. Today, videos are crucial in advertising and social media, and WAVES has helped us develop beautiful, high-quality videos to attract both new students and donors. We hold an annual award ceremony highlighting healthcare workers in Massachusetts. To tell these nurses and healthcare workers' stories, I end up dragging Dave and his team through hospitals and even through the streets of Dorchester to document overnight EMTs. It gets pretty hectic, and they can be long days. The guys are always happy and helpful. They care as much about my project as I do and that is invaluable. At our annual fundraiser, by the time we are finished playing the videos, there is not a dry eye in the room. At the end of the event, everyone is raving about the videos. In marketing, it is easy to find a vendor to do anything you need, but you will never be guaranteed artistry and personal dedication to quality. With Dave and Jon - you never have to worry about that. They are truly artists and video is their medium. Sometimes, I'm not sure exactly how to get something across and Dave always has advice to help me make my video even better than I had originally planned. On your first day with the WAVEs crew they will deliberate and discuss angles and lighting and settings... for a while. There is a TON of equipment. You will wonder if all this is necessary. But then you see the final product and it has the quality of a Hollywood movie. That high level of quality, transfers over to your own brand as well. Often, these video ads are my customers' first impression of my brand and I know with these videos that the College is making the best first impression possible. We can’t say enough wonderful things about David and the Waves Media team!!! David is one of the most professional people we have ever met and his level of experience/expertise was truly reflected during our time working with him. Throughout the planning process, he was more than helpful and very easy to get in touch with. We live in Chicago, IL and he was available via email and phone any time we had questions. On our wedding day, David and his colleague were very professional and made sure everything flowed smoothly so we did not have to think about anything other than having a fabulous day. Working with David was effortless. Not only was he willing to travel across several states to cover our wedding, but he was polite and professional throughout the entire process, and especially on the wedding day. During the wedding, we never even knew he was there, yet he was always capturing the best moments. It was breathtaking when we saw the video (only five days later!!). He worked so quickly on the video that we were able to watch it while still on our honeymoon, which was an indescribable gift. He captured all the big events of the day, but also the moments I would never think to remember, and things I probably would have missed. The best part is that David took all of the unique aspects of our particular wedding (the people, the decor, the venue, our personalities) and used them to create a lasting memory of the day. Dave and Jonathan were incredible to work with. They took the time to get to know Steve and I and what was important to us. They did an incredible job the day of our wedding and both the short and long videos captured our special day perfectly. David was easy to work with and a pleasure to have at our wedding day. Although our planning sessions were brief (yeah!), it was easy to tell that David was interested in getting to know us as a couple and the flow of our wedding in the interest of creating beautiful video. On the day of the wedding, David was nearly invisible to us, working hard to capture every moment as it unfolded, instead of trying to create artificial moments for the camera. After filming your wedding, he completed a video short, which you can post online or share with loved ones in just minutes. You also have the option to obtain raw footage of your wedding and the whole wedding video in various media forms. Although I have only viewed our video short so far, for all of David’s hard work and time, I think his products will be completed during a reasonable amount of time and overall well worth the value for his service.
