Wave has a huge selection of sushi. and always willing to customize to your liking. They also have alot of cooked sushi if people don't like raw. and they also have some chicken and steak options for those who won't eat seafood. First and foremost, I’ve been looking forward to going to place for almost two years. My family and I drove from Orlando to try the sushi considering how delicious it looked online. Boy was I mistaken. If I could 0 star them I would. As soon as I got there the host tried to get us to leave “yeah it’ll be an hour for any sushi orders”????? Bro what??? That’s what your restaurant advertises. Whatever. I advised her I had driven an hour to eat here so I would wait. I am on a keto diet which means can’t touch anything it a crazy amount of carbs. I advised the server of this and she then proceeded to tell me how “amazing” their poke bowls were so I believed her and order it. Worse mistake I’ve ever made. These people served me a tiny bowl filled with lettuce and 4 tiny flaked of tuna and charged me $16 for it. Shame on you. Then proceeded to make my husband wait another 30 min for a sushi burger that was 95% fried rice and then charged him an extra $1 for tempura without even advising beforehand. I looked forward to coming here and you guys gave me the worst service ever and charged me $40 for lettuce and rice. DO NOT COME HERE. YOU WILL NOT GET THE FOOD THEY BLAST ON IG. Normally everything is fantastic and food is great. We enjoy coming to Mt. Dora to eat here. Unfortunately yesterday our visit was not so great. The food was good, people were nice but after waiting an 1.5 hrs for a clear soup and 1 roll I was very irritated. We saw countless paper bags of food leave the food window for to go orders. We watched at least 6 tables who came after us, eat and leave. The table next to us recieved there food at the same time as us but had ordered 3 times as many rolls and were sat after us. Our server blamed a new chef but thats hard to believe being that so many others came and went after we ordered. To blame the new chef is a joke! We didn't recieve any apology from management or were even spoken to by management. If this is what is to be expected then its not worth 2 hrs of my time. Again, I hope it's a one off situation but im extremely hesitant to return. More...

I usually get the same things anytime I go to a sushi place. Clear soup, seaweed salad and an assortment of sushi rolls. Tonight was the Tuna and Rainbow Roll. My wife got an Eel and California Roll. I’m a local and have been going to WAVE since they opened. I am always understanding of their long wait times and am patient. Recently I placed a take out order for 7:30 (I called and placed it at 5pm) and arrived at 7:30 thinking the food would be close to being ready. I didn’t get my food for over 45 minutes later.
