For those considering a water ionizer and looking into the Tyent system, I wanted to share a few things I learned the hard way. If you have a reverse osmosis system, it is most likely not going to give you a high enough alkalinity (could barely get above a neutral pH 7.0). There are not enough minerals in the water to ionize. I spent over $2300 for the unit and 1 1/2 months back and forth with their Tech experts. Their final attempt at a solution was a large mineral filter that had a cancer warning on the label. I chose to return the system within their free in-home trial period. About that trial period, it’s not free. They have a restocking fee and no refund for shipping charges. So, if you are uncertain that it’s the right system for your needs, do more research into other options first. I later discovered 2 doses of Ultimate Minerals (sold by The Green Smoothie Girl) in my morning 10-12 oz of water gave me a healthy high alkaline dose (build up to this if just starting on the minerals). A much cheaper solution in the long run. That said, if I had better water to begin with, the Tyent system may have been a good fit. While I was impressed with their Tech troubleshooting, I’ve been less than impressed with their Customer Service at the over 2 months of attempting to get my refund and any communication back from them.
