This is by far the best waffle available in California!My wife and I went this morning and shared something with caramel and strawberries and all sorts of goodness on it no. But this guy explained how they fly their dough in from Belgium and all that stuff like every few days and they keep it frozen at a certain temperature and then they anyways all these details are definitely come out in the favor because it is amazing!Also cuz it took a little bit longer he gave us a free coffee and water and a treat for our doggy It is definitely family owned and operated we love the volkswaffle people! Nothing like waffles you've had before! Liège waffles are a totally different recipe from a different region of Belgium. There are caamaelwized pieces of pearl sugar inside and you can eat them without any topping and be ecstatic. Must try! Great service too! More...

Had been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally did and I'm definitely not disappointed! It was absolutely delicious and the customer service was amazing. The man working (I believe he was the owner) was so friendly and great to talk to. I wish I had gotten his name, but we'll definitely be back so hopefully we'll see him again. I've passed the red Volkswagon many times as a regular at the midtown farmers market, but never tried the waffles...until yesterday. This place is absolutely amazing, the waffles are delicious and nothing like any waffle I have eaten before. The price is fair considering what a delicacy this is! Jerry's got your back! Me and my girlfriend tried this place for the first time after living in the area for a year and I gotta say, wish we had gone sooner! Not only is he so down to earth, but such a nice guy! He gave our dog a treat while we waited for our order and after he made our waffles ,HE EVEN GAVE US FREE WATER!The waffles we got we're suuuuper good too! I went with my mother, approximately two weeks ago and I ordered a few waffles to take home. When I got them, they were hot and I couldn't help myself on tasting some right away. So delicious! I have not had a waffle that good in the Sacramento area ever. Also, I wanted to praise the owner: he is not only great in making those special treats, but he is very kind too. While we were waiting for the order, because it was a hot day, he gave us two bottles of cold water at no charge. I told him that we had some in the car, but he insisted saying that one never has enough water on a day like that. I always pass this place but never got the chance to actually stop by! It's a small with a drive thru and walk up window. We ordered the Belgian chocolate most wanted and the purist . They were around $6-$7 for each waffle. The purist has cinnamon and powdered sugar. I also added cookie butter. It was soooo good! I think next time I will get it without cinnamon because it was a little powdery but still tasty. The works was even better! I was introduced to this traveling waffle truck about 4 years ago. The man who runs it is so so kind! My mom likes them so much that she had them at her wedding when she married my stepdad! New years eve and 28° but so fun! I went to a parade in east sac today and saw the waffle guy! I remembered how good they were at the wedding and stopped by. Wow...where has a concept like this been all of my life?!?! First saw their van at the farmer's market in downtown Sacramento, and then went to their stand alone spot in Carmichael. Their chocolate covered waffle, with a thin slab of ice cream, strawberries, and a Nutella drizzle is likely the result of someone challenging god to make an unheard of dessert, and poof, there it was!Seriously though, this place is on point, so I highly recommend checking it out! My 2-year old was asking for waffles all morning while I was rushing to get ready for work. The freezer was out and my box of Bisquick was near empty. *If only there was somewhere that sold quick, hot waffles.* I thought to myself. And then I remembered VolksWaffle. That little red box I drove past everyday on my way to work. What fortuity. Divine providence. Best waffle I've tried in Northern California. Toppings aren't overwhelming the waffle but a good pair. Owner is very kind and funny to talk to. Also got a water and free waffle on the house. Oh my goodness! Amazing delicious made to order vanilla Liege waffles dipped in Belgium Chocolate and covered with strawberries, whipped cream and caramel drizzle. What's not to love?!?!
