While in Hartford on business, a group of co-workers and I enjoyed a fun evening at this quaint Italian restaurant. We were greeted by the friendly staff and seated immediately. Our waiter was highly knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating to special requests. Each of us ordered a different entree; chicken parmigiana, pasta alla Roberto, fried calamari, and pizza. Just wanted to say thank you to the wonderful staff working Sunday evening. I brought my Dad to see our friend perform in Henry V at Hartford Stage, and we all met to grab a small bite after the show. My dad is completely wheelchair-bound and has a bit of social anxiety about that in general, and eating in public (his motor skills have declined due to MS). The lady at the entrance saw us on the sidewalk and already had the door open for us to wheel right in, and a chair was quickly moved out of the way for him to be right at a table and not feel like he was "in the way" of other patrons. It may not seem like much, but it really meant a lot as he hasn't been comfortable to go out for other than doctors appointments in over a year; this meal was a great end to his day out! I went here for a holiday party. While I wasn't able to select from the menu the buffet was packed with a great selection and all the items tasted great. To feed a large crowd sometimes you end up with watered down vegetables or pasta that might be overcooked. Not here the food was great. Taking a walk through the rest of the restaurant I noticed a good size bar area with ample seating and a large restaurant seating area. The whole thing about being on the water was misleading; I expected to be on the river or a lake and was surprised to see a small pond. All I.
