Love eating anything made by the staff here at VA BBQ. They truly know how to make some quality pulled pork, pulled chicken, pulled rotiserre and beef brisket sandwiches. If you get a side, always go for the potato salad; it's not any other potato salad that you've ever had, and after eating it, you'll never eat any other kind again. That goes for any kind of BBQ (NC, VA and TX styles), ribs, sides and desserts. Love this place and it is by far my favorite barbeque restaurant in the area. I also think you get the most bang for your buck there; however, after being gone for about a year, I stopped in the other day and it seemed things have changed. The potato salad for instance was kind of funky, the staff was less customer-focused and sauces were not on all the tables....little stuff. It made me wonder if ownership had changed or it there was new management. Still great overall though, but I dropped a star because of my most recent experience. More...

What’s your signature dish?
North Carolina and Virginia wood smoked and hand pulled barbeque and freshly prepared southern sides.Thin sliced hickory smoked beef brisket has sbeen a favorite of our catering customers. We also offer Baby Back and St. Louis smoked pork ribs as well as lean smoked chicken bbq.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Each catering menu is custom written according to what you want to serve your guests. Our goal is to insure you and all your guests leave telling all their friends about the delicious food served at your event.
What do you love most about your job?
I get to please my customers with our food quality and service excellence. Smiling faces and lots of compliments are my favorite part of a busyQ day.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In May of 2000 at 30 years old (18 years ago this year) I started Virginia BBQ with the goal of serving the finest BBQ and homemade sides to our guests. That commitment remains the same today.
