Vinnie Mootz is the real deal mozzarella maker! He learned his craft as a boy when he summered in Italy. He loved making mootz so much that he opened his own cheese shop as an avocation. It is open only on weekends. The cheese is delicious and he makes custom platters for parties and weddings. He also teaches mootz making classes so that you can learn the art of the mootz yourself. Two weeks ago my wife and I went to Vinnie’s Mootz for a class in making Mozzarella. Vinnie and Jess put out a delicious spread of appetizers and dessert. I made the best mootz. Went back for Vinnie’s first make your own pasta night. Another amazing spread of appetizers. This was followed by a lesson in making rav and tagliatelle. My pumpkin ravioli and tagliatelle may not be as successful as my mootz, but it is always fun in Vinnie’s Kitchen. Better than my pasta was Vinnie’s tagliatelle carbonara and ravioli. His ravioli is like “pillows from heaven”. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere friendly and Vinnie is the best! More...
