I recently went to see Iona for a crippling pain in my right leg that rendered it practically useless. Iona recognized the pain source as an extremely tight and inflamed IT band ligament. I hobbled in on Monday afternoon, barely able to walk, and was so tender that she could only work with very light pressure in that area. I improved somewhat overnight, and came back in for a second treatment on Tuesday. My pain was less, I was no longer limping when walking on flat ground, but I was still unable to bear weight on my right leg going up and down stairs. In my second treatment, Iona was able to work more deeply into the tissues and after just two treatments, along with some therapy that she recommended I do at home, I was walking without pain, able to go up and down stairs again, and back to gardening and able to do all of my deep yoga stretches on Thursday that week!  Iona works with 100% focus on the client, catering to their specific need with a variety of techniques, years of experience and training, and with uncanny intuition.  Her touch is soft, deep, smooth, fluid, or whatever is called for.Iona also just helped my newborn grandson, who was unable to breastfeed, by doing infant Craniosacral Therapy work on him to help him begin to latch and suckle correctly.
