If you're looking for the best place to take your pet, look no further, this is it! The staff is always warm and welcoming, there is never a long wait after check in, and the doctors are kind and highly skilled! Dr. Lipanovich was so kind in delivering news of cancer about my dog that I felt like I was hearing it from a close friend. She is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Best vet experience ever for dog and owner! Highly compassionate team with excellent people and pet skills. Their office is clean. I was always greeted with a smile. It was easy to schedule appointments, and they were always willing to get us in quickly when our pets were sick. Our dog absolutely loved going to see Dr. Connolly and her team. When we left the appointments we always felt like we had a plan, and they were great about sending follow up emails or phone calls to check in, which really made us feel like they truly cared. I went here for the first time in early spring when my cat, Ivy, swallowed a foreign body. After my visit with Dr. Connolly I will never go to another vet. Once I found out what was wrong with Ivy, I grew very worried and assumed the worst. Dr. Connolly's calm demeanor and incredible veterinary knowledge made me feel optimistic that Ivy would be okay, and she is! She's sitting next to me right now. Then, a few weeks ago my other cat, Blitz, developed a severe intestinal infection. Again, I was blown away by how amazing this clinic is. When I'm here I feel like they genuinely care for the well being of my animals. Everyone here from the ladies at the front desk to the doctors are so kind, professional, and compassionate. Dr. Connolly is so knowledgeable and gentle with my animals, she is the best vet I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We have taken our Sphynx cat to Compass Veterinary Clinic for the last year and I can't say enough good things about them! From curing years of digestive issues with a special diet to successfully treating a cancerous growth, Dr. Connolly and her staff have always gone out of their way and are the absolute best. We board him at Compass as well when we go out of town and he is so well taken care of. Most times I go to pick him up he is in someone's lap. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Connolly and her staff. I have an 8 month old CKCS who was experiencing chronic GI issues and had stopped eating. After several dismissive go arounds with his previous vet, I reached out to Compass for help. When Dr. Connolly did an initial exam, he was wincing from an abdominal check. She immediately jumped into action with a round of blood, urine and fecal work followed by a barium series. All indications led to inflamed stomach and bowels and referred me to a specialist who confirmed it. We are now on a course of treatment and healing. She also answered emails with concerns regarding home cooked diets and updates on his condition. Her and her staffs caring and compassion have been overwhelming to us. It was a drastic change from his old vet. Plus, my puppy loves her and everyone there. Thank you, Dr. Connolly and the Compass Staff for everything you have done so far. Highly recommend this place! Dr. Lipanovich did an excellent job neutering my kitty. She took her time examining him and answered all my questions. She had to make an incision to get to one of the testicles since only one was visible. It ended up not being a big deal at all! I felt that all pricing was very fair and reasonable and everything was discussed ahead of time. There were no surprises! More...

I'm new to Compass Veterinary Clinic and so happy I found them.  My primary reason for trying them out is that Dr. Connolly is a certified Fear Free practitioner, and I needed someone who would be really good with my anxious little dog.  So far she has treated both my cat and dog and has been wonderful with both.  She sensed my dog's fears immediately and knew just what to do for both his physical and emotional needs.  Additionally, every member of her staff that I've had the pleasure to meet so far is friendly and professional and so good with the pets.  If you are looking for a new vet, I highly recommend this clinic.  Located in the New Season's shopping center in Lake Oswego where Parkway Veterinary used to be. First and foremost, I went to this vet solely on all of the reviews. It was certainly worth it!We brought our 7 month old German Shepherd puppy in to be treated with multiple concerns. We just moved here from CA and apparently our dog is struggling with getting acclimated to the many allergy issues that go hand in hand with the PNW.We waited for minutes, tech and staff were super friendly and professional and then we met the vet. She is super friendly, intelligent and straight forward. To say she has impressive credentials is a prodigious understatement. She's kinda a big deal in Oregon.She sat on the floor with my family and dog and spoke with us for an hour about all of our concerns. Not only did she help us understand, but she genuinely cares about not only her patients, but the families that come attached.Seriously though, she and her staff are by far the best I have experienced in my entire life. If you demand the best for your loved ones, you owe it to them to take them to the best. Lastly, extremely reasonably priced to the degree that I had to ask them twice if they were sure that was the final bill. Of course things are much more expensive in the Bay, but she could easily charge more and it would easily be justified.Impressive! Rock stars! More...

I am SO THANKFUL I discovered Compass Vet Clinic when I got my first puppy. I made sure to research and call every veterinary clinic in the Portland area. When I called Compass Vet, I spoke with Penny, who works as a client care specialist. Penny is the whole reason I decided to go to Dr. Connolly. Penny was so knowledgeable talked me through the entire vaccine schedule and neutering procedure for my puppy. From the moment I talked to Penny and met with Dr. Connolly I knew my puppy was in great hands. I also greatly appreciate how much Dr. Connolly cares about the health and wellness of the animals she works with. Last year when we had the horrible snow storm I had an appointment with Dr. Connolly. Although she had to cancel she made sure to call me personally and instruct me on what to do with puppy. She also rescheduled to meet with me ASAP.Another awesome perk of going to Compass Vet Clinic is all of the incredible prices!! My mom belongs to another local vet and pays so much more for similar care and prescriptions. Many times Compass has offered me 15% off on my flea and tic medications and discounted exams.  I have recommended Compass Vet to just about every person I know with animals. Their practice is growing and the new doctors on staff are just as wonderful and caring as Dr. Connolly. Even with a lot of new animals going to Compass Vet, I still have no problem scheduling appointments, which I really appreciate! More...

I would have never taken my dog here if it weren't for them accepting the humane society coupon to be spayed. Now, getting surgery with a coupon seems very odd to me, but alas, it was a good deal. I have a regular vet, I like them, they are 5 minutes from my house. If compass wasn't 45 minutes away, I would consider a switch. I made several calls about getting my pup spayed, Compass was definitely the nicest on the phone. I made an appointment and offered to get the records from my other vet to them. They said don't worry about it, and they did it for me. They never made me feel bad for coming in on a discount spay. They did the normal stuff, and tried to up-sell me on a few things, they are a business, and i don't mind in the least. They noted that she would be due for some of her shots the following month and some more in a few months, so we went ahead and did the vaccinations at the same time. My first visit to this clinic was phenomenal. From the first phone call to the clinic, to making the appointment, I came to see Dr. Connolly and until the last minute picking up my kitten after the spay procedure were beyond my expectation. After we arrived home from the procedure, couple hours passed, my kitten pulled the stitches and I called the clinic even 10 minutes before the closing hour, they asked me to bring Rosie, the kitten back to the clinic and they waited for us. Dr. Connolly is so good with my kitties that we followed her across town when she opened Compass. She makes sure they're comfortable, gets down to their level (they are rarely on the standard examining table, as they tend to be more comfortable on the floor or her lap), and coos at and snuggles them as if they're her own. She clearly loves each animal that comes through her door. Even my scaredy cat loves her! Her prices are the most affordable I've seen, and when I've had a larger-than-expected bill, she's worked with me. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Connolly and Compass. After a rough year and the loss of my 5 year old cat Mitri, my expectations of vets and vet clinics were non-existent. Most clinics (in my personal experience) gouge you on the fees for service and treat your pets like an afterthought. When I found the coupon for this clinic for their spay/neuter special of $35/male and $50/female, I thought the service might reflect the low fee. I was so pleasantly surprised and grateful at what ensued. My new kitten Chuck needed to be fixed. (I thought Chuck was female but it was determined that she was actually male). From the first phone call to make the appointment all the way to picking up Chuck after surgery, the service and compassion was phenomenal and way above average. The price list/fee schedule was more reasonable than every clinic I've tried. The staff were LOVING, and compassionate to Chuck's fear and my concerns. The whole team, from receptionist to vet tech to veterinarian were ALL so respectful and knowledgeable and generous. After so many horrible experiences this place was such a breath of fresh air and I'll never take my fur babies anywhere else. I'm so grateful to have found this clinic. More...

I was very grateful to the staff at Compass Veterinary Clinic today when they offered to keep my dog Georgie for the short time that I needed to shop. While the temperature was showing around 68, when I later returned to the car it was almost 90 inside the car and not a safe place to leave your pet. What a caring staff! Check them out.
