My cat was very sick with a consistent fever and would not eat. After hospitalization at my regular vet with no improvement, they suggested she be transferred here. She was a tough diagnosis and I felt like Dr. Barnett did everything he could to get to the bottom of her issue. They checked in with me multiple times a day. They made an effort to avoid unnecessary cost, did a great job explaining what their recommendations were and the estimate was.. Pros: EXCELLENT CARE!! Wonderful experience. Great staff. Fabulous folks. Phone call updates daily directly from the Vet. Ability to visit my pup while she was under their care at anytime . All questions readily answered. Kind and Caring atmosphere. Made me feel confident my sweet furry friend was in the best place to have the best turn out. Full recovery to my sweet Lucy Jordan— thanks to you all!!! Cons: Would of been nice to set up a payment plan with the facility. Even to pay off the charge less than few months. Huge unexpected expense all at once leads to hardships. I understand they probably have been in situations where people doesn’t pay their bill but send those folks to collections. Don’t punish all of us for it. We as a rule in our family don’t do credit loans so we had to come up with a lot of cash all at once during a very stressful time. When seconds literally mattered. Over a busy holiday weekend, an anomaly occurred which saw Kira (chihuahua) and I en route to VCSG. What happened next, was simply beyond belief. I just would not take my dog to anyone else. Very kind and loving DRs. and staff. Helpful, concerned and no arrogance. They are truly there to help and not just charge fees for unnecessary cost. My little dog was attacked by another dog and she was bitten all over,I thought she was going to die. I got her here to the ER and Dr. Lucy and her assistant Courtney went to work on my baby, they saved my precious little 15 year old baby!!! They were so kind to us and kept us informed on how the surgery was going and how our baby was doing...5 days later and our little baby is almost back to normal. I can never thank Dr.Lucy and Courtney enough for what they did for us!! What a great hospital and a great staff!!! I recommend this hospital for your fur babies if you ever need a ER Vet!!! More...

Coming here is the best decision I ever made for my dog. The staff understood that I was on a tight budget and work with me to better help my dog with what I had without going over. The staff there was very sweet even gave me a call asking about my dog progress. Eventually we did had to put her down and we came there to say our last good bye. They showed respect to us the family and to my dog. They put us in a quiet room away for the other rooms to mourn. They even gave us her paw print to remember her by. My fiance and I just arrived on vacation on July 4th and we had an emergency with my dog, Tracey. She became really bloated and she was acting real lethargic and not acting like her normal self. I took her to VCSG and Dr Ryan Rucker knew what the situation was right away. She took Tracey back for X-Rays and said her stomach flipped and required emergency surgery. She explained other options and showed us the X-Ray where things looked bad. Very thorough explanation without using a lot of medical terms so we understood perfectly well what was going on!The surgery went very well and Tracey was back to her absolute normal, loving self a few days after the surgery.Tara at the front desk was absolutely wonderful keeping us updated on the surgery and where we were at. The Best place for Veterinary care. The Veternarians are very kind and gentle and of course very professional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs care for their pet. All of the staff was kind and prompt in helping me with the needs of my furbaby. She was very very sick and I truly believe if I had not taken her to VCSG, she would not be here today! Both Dr. Pullen and Dr. Rucker never seemed too busy to discuss her care with me and I could call or come visit anytime - 24/7! We were just blessed by the wonderful women who work here! And I want to say thank you so much to who ever it was that payed for our dogs surgery! !! Our dog is having serious complications with delivering her puppies. The ultrasound showed only 1 puppy with a very weak heart beat still alive. The rest died. I have never been through a delivery like this in my life. It's very scary knowing that you can't help them in there time of need It feels so hopeless. I honestly thought we were gonna end up losing all the puppies and the mother. All the other vets I called didn't want to be bothered today and the last place we called they told us to come in and see what they could do for her. These fine ladies assessed our dog "Shadow", and told us her opinion on a few different courses of treatment all varying in price since we don't have much. Well we told them what we had for money and then they made a few calls to different places that help with financial services. If they hadn't have called around our dogs fate would've been extremely bleak. Without a doubt they saved our dogs life!!! My husband and I are very grateful for all the people involved with helping others out when we couldn't help our selfs. I'm praying for the last puppies life. I hope she can get to it in time. I don't know what else I can say to tell all you ladies thank you so very much for your time and your energy on a holiday you should be spending with your families. Whatever the reason, you all are super awesome great people in my book and keep up all the hard work you all are doing for our 4 legged family member's. We had to have our 15 year old Lab put to sleep tonight. This is the most understanding, compassionate animal hospital I have ever used. They go the extra mile to make sure you and your pet are as comfortable as possible and they even made 2 different memorial paw print items for us. I cried, my daughter cried and even the tech that presented us with the memorials choked up. Everyone there is absolutely amazing.
