What a gem! We are traveling and stopped in Roanoke for the night. Thanks to Yelp we had a delicious dinner. It is obvious that the owner is in business for the joy she brings to her customers and it comes through in the wonderful flavors of her food. The Spanakopita was superb. The lamb shank may have been the best I've had. I'm going to try to recreate it at home after Irene was so generous to share the ingredients. We have been traveling for almost 2 weeks, some of which was spent in Hilton Head and this was the best meal we have had during that time. We will plan to return even if it is out of our way. If you've never been here please plan a visit! Â All meals r made to order and made from scratch! Â Daily specials are just that, special! ! Â We had garlic dip and it was the best I've ever had. The meals are plentiful and HOT! Â Because of Covid and government stimulus has kept folks from working so they are short on help but the ambiance is wonderful so plan to come, talk, laugh and enjoy a delicious dinner. This is a very special restaurant that may surprise you. It's unpretentious facade next to a gas station gave us pause, but once we were seated out on their patio, we felt at ease. Situated next to a stream; the view is great.Now onto the food. We ordered the gyro dinner and the moussaka platter. Both were the best we've had outside of Greece. They use fresh ingredients and make every dish from scratch. For dessert we had baklava and their famous carrot cake. Both were amazing. Just the nicest people. The food is amazing, but it's worth the visit just to talk with Irene about her food. Maybe it's because we're from up north and not used to being treated this kindly, but I doubt it. I think Irene and her husband are just some of those rare, special people you come across at the most random times that honestly don't know how warm and wonderful they are. this place is amazing. we happened across it during a trip from nashville to new jersey. it's a must stop hidden gem. We stumbled upon this tiny treasure on a road trip from Nashville to New Jersey. We arrived a short time before closing and were greeted by Irene the owner. She sat us and began our experience with nice conversation and an overview of their menu. She let us know all food is homemade. We ordered soups, appetizers, and entrees and all were excellent. Whether it was the Spanakopita, Gluten Free Pizza, the Greek Soup, or the House Stromboli it was all served with a smile and tasted amazing. We thoughly enjoyed our first visit to this Italian & Greek Restaurant on North Williamson road. We both ordered the Chicken Souvlaki with pita bread & Tzatzita dip which was tasty along with the roasted potatoes & greek green beans. Reasonably priced with swift friendly service. I wasn't that impressed with this place. The server was rather rude and she was snobby, shouldn't be for a restaurant that is next door to a gas station and convenience store! Our family go-to even though it's across town. Unpretentious with excellent flavorful mediterranean foods and family-friendly service. I can recommend the spanakopita, the Greek green beans, the eggplant dishes, the calzones...I'd recommend more but I'm personally stuck on those.
