02-14 - 2019 From Mother of the Bride - Venia Floral & Event Design went above and beyond to create the most beautiful atmosphere in the open air chapel, farmhouse bar and reception areas at my daughter’s wedding! She and her team do all of the set up, adding touches that complete the look and feel for a warm natural design and breakdown is completely taken care of even when the reception goes late into the night! The bouquets where amazing, so big and full, even the vrides maids’, and the flowers were all fresh and beautiful! My daughter, the bride, was so happy with all of the flowers, the abundance of greenery, which my daughter really, really loved and the additions of a few elements that we totally didn't expect, just made everything so amazing! It is disheartening that these 3 persons who "reviewed" Venia Floral and Event Design, have the obvious intention of asking as many of their friends and acquaintances to trash this business and unfortunately there is nothing this business can do about it.   As a client who has utilized Venia Floral and Event Design on more than several occasions, I find it ridiculous to read someone state that Jeanna used words like "you should have read the small print" , "we did the best we could"  or "you should not have given us your heirloom (Not airloom... how can you call it an heirloom if you clearly don't even know how to spell it, do you in fact then know what an heirloom is Mr. Pedro?). It is not my intention to bash you Mr. Pedro or either of the other 2 ladies who are obviously all writing about the same event since you all continually refer to "poor communication" "wrong colors" and advise that Jeanna,  who is the owner and a phenomenal Event Planner, was not present at your event.  Jeanna's services as an "event planner" are at an additional cost to just hiring a florist to deliver and set up flowers.  If you did not pay for this service you can not expect her to take time from her paying clients to be at your event.   In the past 4+ years that I have hired Jeanna & her team for everything from my daughter's bridal shower to her beautiful wedding, social events hosted in my home, the one thing Jeanna DOES NOT LACK is communication.  Jeanna is the type to sit or meet with you as many times necessary, without rushing you through any of these meetings, just to ensure your event/special day is everything you dreamed of and more.  Jeanna has the gift to listen to your ideas and turn it into exactly what you envisioned even when you couldn't.  Jeanna additionally has every color charger imaginable, so I find it very difficult to believe that silver (one of the most common colors) would not be one she has.   Untrue.   We have utilized her silver chargers for our events in the past.  Even if it wasn't a color she had in her shop, she would get it.  I've had nothing but positive experience after positive experience with her and her team.   I have referred more than several friends and businesses to her since first meeting and hiring her, with not a single complaint but instead praise for her talents.   I understand there is always going to be one unhappy person from time to time that's difficult to please (I know because I'm often one of those....read some of my other reviews) so it upsets me to no end when I feel like someone is being intentionally malicious , claiming NOTHING was correct just to try to ruin a business.  Weddings are not cheap...but people can be.   If these persons were expecting EVERYTHING for hardly nothing, of course they're going to complain and then tell their story, embellishing it more and more each time and asking anyone they can to go online to write an unfair review.   Again, we are all entitled to our opinions so mine is this, I highly recommend Jeanna and her team.  They go above and beyond to make your special day every thing you dreamed of and more.   Please don't let these persons discourage you from what I know will exceed your expectations.  If you are looking for a professional, pays attention to every detail, well organized florist and event planner, this is your girl. We are very happy we chose Venia Floral to do our flowers for our wedding. Everything was perfect and beautiful that day. Jeanna was amazing, not only did her and her team set up and break down but she decorated everything with elegance and detail . At the end of the night she even wrapped each one of my glass bottles that were used as centerpieces individually. We had at least 200. Jeanna listened carefully to each and everyone of my requests and was very professional and friendly throughout the entire process. Venia Floral and Event Design was absolutely the right choice for our wedding!As a florist: They prepared a very detailed price guide for what each floral arrangement, boutonniere, corsage, and bouquet would cost, better allowing us to manage our budget. I never knew much about flowers, so it was amazing that she was so attentive to the look and feel of our wedding in order to help us choose appropriate arrangements. She ended up even bringing extra flowers to add to the cake display, our sweetheart table, and more! It was obvious that they work hard at what they do and they want to make your day as beautiful and special as possible!As an event coordinator: We hired Venia as a day of coordinator, but she was much more involved than just the day of! We booked her around just 2 months before our wedding and she made herself so available to us. I would text her at all hours of the day to iron out wedding details and she was always readily available. She was very organized, flexible, and helpful, I knew we were in good hands. A week or 2 before the wedding, she will actually become the POC for all of your vendors and handle all of their times of arrival, inform them of any changes, make sure they bring what they said they would bring, and so on. This alone took so much stress off my shoulders and allowed me to enjoy the family coming into town for the wedding and planning family activities. At the actual wedding, they exceeded my expectations again. All the bridesmaids and flower girls were children, ranging from almost 2 to 9, and they worked so well with them helping them walk through the wedding rehearsal. I didn't have to talk to a single vendor the day of the wedding, Venia instructed them on when, where, and how to set up. They made sure my groom and I ate and had food when we left the wedding. If we could give them 10 stars we would! We went to a bridal show in Allen and stumbled upon Venia and thank goodness we did! ! Jeanna and her husband Frank put a lovely touch of awe into our entire venue inside and out with their decor and flowers. We were so pleased to see how all our planning came to life and was better than we ever could have imagined. They quickly set up and also came in at the end of the night to break everything down in a timely manner. We forgot somethings or they had some items and they contacted us to let us know and we picked them up. They also stepped it up for us on multiple occasions to assist with a MIA planner and for that we are incredibly thankful! They have the option to be planners as well - DO IT, you will be forever grateful. Our wedding day went so smoothly because of Venia! We got exactly what we hoped for and more (I still can’t get over the incredibly large succulent she added to my bouquet as a surprise!!! I was able to plant it afterwards and it’s still in my little patio garden.) The bouquets and boutonnieres were fantastic! Our mom’s and grandmother had the option of a corsage which turned out amazing too and they all loved that option as to not ruin their dress.They work as a very committed team which made it a lot easier to trust in them and their creations. Also, whenever I needed to contact Jeanna via phone, text, or email she responded promptly. I cannot thank them enough for the beauty they added as well as their kindness and rapid want to help out! Venia Floral and Event Design was the reason I had the wedding of my dreams. Jeanna, her wonderful husband Frank, and team were phenomenal from start to finish. She was available for phone calls at any time of day, helped me make any decision that I needed help with, was there for ANYTHING that I needed, truly wonderful. Her team was the reason all of my friends told me I was such a calm bride, and why my parents and family were able to enjoy the wedding instead of needing to make sure things were running smoothly. My flowers and tables looked absolutely beautiful. She was able to provide so many resources so we did not have to rent from other vendors. Came across Venia Floral and Event Design at the Dallas bridal show and they were, hands down, the best priced flowers with high quality arrangements. My wife and I did not want to spend a ton on flowers and Jeanna really helped us find the right type of flowers to meet our budget and they made our wedding look beautiful. I came to Jeanna about 4 months before my wedding and she was actually already booked for the rest of the year, but she managed to still take me in. I can't appreciate her and her team more. They were so understanding with my budget. I didn't have a huge budget for florals and she was extremely willing to work with me and my tight budget. Their work was beautiful and my bouquet was so huge and I loved it!! Everyone was complementing on my centerpieces and my bouquet all night. I would highly recommend Venia Floral and Event Design! Jeanna and her team are incredible!! Upon our first meeting, I felt comfortable immediately in describing to her what I wanted. She took my ideas and just made some incredible arrangements. I'm not very picky and I'm pretty low maintenance, so I had a hard time articulating exactly what I was looking for, but Jeanna listened intently and brought the most beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and extras! I am beyond thrilled with the work that she did, and am so happy I met with Venia.

I had bought a little flower girl basket, and Jeanna even had spare mint ribbons that she tied around the basket. It was adorable and really brought everything together. She also provided gorgeous loose flowers for our cake which our baker perfectly organized, and had tons of fresh eucalyptus leaves that she put everywhere. I think that was my favorite part.

We had designed our centerpieces to have these little fairy lights in a circle around the flower vases, but I didn't like the way they looked at all. Jeanna brought a bunch of beautiful leaves that she surrounded the flowers with and wound the lights around, and they looked picture perfect. I am so happy with the service I received from Venia, and if I ever have another large event in need of flowers, I will absolutely return here!!! More...
