I really don’t know where to start.. When I started working with Vanessa and Team VGFN my kids had just turned 1 and 2.5 years old, and I was feeling really tired, really burned out, and I felt like we as a family weren’t making the healthiest choices because we were always short on time and stretched thin. I saw the transformations on Vanessa’s Instagram and I wanted that for myself, but I knew that I had too far to go on my own and without getting help and accountability, then my life would continue in a direction I didn’t want it to go. Vanessa and her entire team are amazing. They are so detailed in creating your plan. The coaches really take the time to listen you and your symptoms in order to get to the root cause of your issues.

Before working with Vanessa and her team, I was seeing so many specialists attempting to figure out why I was so sick and Noone could give me a reason. My coaches and the dietician on Vanessa's team ordered more detailed lab work than any of my doctors had and were able to diagnose the real cause of my pain! Through diet, exercise, and supplements we have slowly began correcting my issues and I am finally starting to feel better after YEARS of no answers and declining health.

Earlier this year I started listening to podcasts about hormones and cycle syncing your workouts and nutrition. I researched obsessively and would find conflicting information and drove myself crazy. I really liked Vanessa’s podcasts so I messaged and asked her about a few things and she was very helpful. I had lost 45 lbs on my own 4 years back (and kept it off), but I was stuck and was switching between tracking 1,300 calories and going off the rails, all while avoiding carbs like the plague. I was up a few pounds and it was ruining my life (literally, I hated going anywhere there was food or going out to eat with my husband). All I could think or talk about was the stubborn weight I couldn’t lose.
I decided to join the program in October. I was hesitant because it’s a busy work season, the holidays, plus I was supposed to be moving but it made sense that I should learn how to manage things during the hard times.
I’ve been a client for almost 3 months- I came into the program wanting to lose 15 lbs but I shifted my focus to healing my relationship with food, obsession with working out and need for perfection. I’m currently up to 2,400 calories/250 carbs and that makes it easy to track and fit things in and have a life. I don’t assign morality to foods anymore or beat myself up for eating something. I’ve even lost a couple of lbs despite traveling, the loss of my dog, and intense stress. My goals have shifted from just the scale to overall wellness.
This isn’t just diet and exercise. This is overall well being. You develop a personal relationship with your coach and they care about you. My coach has walked with me through all of my trials and helps me reframe my thinking so I can excel. They ask questions so they can understand where you are coming from and how to help. I was a bit hesitant to join due to cost but it’s less than a personal trainer, nutritionist, and counselor and I feel like that’s what you get all bundled into one. I signed up for the next phase of the program before I even finished the first!

Working with VGFN has changed my life. Before them I tried so many diets that were not for me, there was always a stipulation of you had to do certain things to be successful. At VGFN I had things personalized to me that set me up for success. Along with the health aspect of my journey I truly gained a community of support that I’ve never had before. I had been dealing with my hypothyroidism for 10+ years and was on the brink of rock bottom. I had tried calorie deficits, vegan diets, whole 30, cutting out alcohol, HIIT training… I had tried everything and literally nothing worked, and I was one step from giving up forever. I thought if I had tried everything already without success then how would a coach be able to help me? But not only did VGFN help me with healing my hormones, but they taught me that you can actually heal your body with more food, less exercise, and a balanced regiment! I was assigned to work with Coach Alex and cannot speak highly enough about her. She helped me with building a solid foundation of knowledge as it relates to nutrition, provides manageable workouts, and is responsive and supportive. After working with the team for a year, you are moved to the forever fit program with offers an invitation to the weekend retreat, which I loved. We teach our clients how to enjoy all of their favorite foods, and still reach their goals. You will not have to give up sweets, carbs, alcohol, or any "unhealthy" food in our program!

We use a 4-phase approach to resetting your metabolism so that you can finally lose stubborn body fat without having to spend all your free time in the gym or missing out on wine and dessert:

The Recover Phase: First, we'll undo metabolic damage and hormonal dysfunction using our Flexible Reverse Dieting System so that you can ditch bloat and get your energy and zest back for life!

The Reset Phase: Next, we'll establish a new metabolic set point and teach your body how to use calories to build lean, toned muscle, so that you can have those sexy curves you've always wanted!

I love it when clients share with me how they didn't just get back their confidence in their bodies, but they've regained freedom with food. They don't have to restrict and struggle with food anymore, and now they can spontaneously have pancakes with their kids on a Sunday morning... eat their favorite baked goods at Christmas... drink wine on a date night... and they no longer feel guilt for doing those things. I didn’t always have the nutrition and fitness knowledge that I have today. I learned a lot of the “secrets” I know now the hard way…

Back in 2013, I was a college athlete on the UGA Equestrian team, and despite being extremely active, I was over-stressed and binge eating in secret, eventually finding myself 40 lbs overweight. I had zero self-confidence and truthfully, I ended up skipping my college graduation because I didn’t want to have any photos taken of me.

After that, I decided to get “serious” and started eating less and exercising more. I bounced from juice cleanses, intermittent fasting, Keto, “clean eating”, and Paleo, all while working out 2x/day- a run in the morning and a group fitness class in the afternoon. I was stuck in a cycle of gaining and losing the same 10lbs, and I could tell my metabolism was getting slower and slower as my energy and drive went down. I desperately needed to reverse the damage I had done to my metabolism…

I started researching and hired coaches and mentors. I learned nutrition because I was determined to never feel lost and full of self-hate ever again. I finally was educated enough on nutrition, exercise, and hormone health that I attained my goal body. I was healthy, and most importantly, I was happy with myself! After that, I vowed that I would do my best to help others out of the same struggle I had endured. This led to me coaching some friends and family. When they got results, they referred their friends. When they got results, they referred THEIR friends. Before long, I had a business that was so much bigger than me. That's when I began to hire other coaches, trainers, and dietitians, who were experts in areas that I didn't feel as confident in working alone. Together, we have become a team of nutrition, biomechanics, hormone health, and mindset experts who are equipped to help women with even the "trickiest" metabolisms!

When you wake up and feel defeated because you’re exhausted and unconfident in your body, that’s probably carrying over to other areas of your life… maybe it’s showing up in your work, or your social life, or even your sex life. I say that because I've been there, I know how it feels. Not only do I have the experience of working with 800+ women, but I've been there myself. My hormones were peri-menopausal in my 20's, my weight wouldn't budge, and I was struggling with binge eating and food guilt. Services

We help our clients optimize their metabolisms, hormones, and gut health through customized nutrition. This is very different from fad diets like Keto, Weight Watchers, or Optavia, which leave you tired, hungry, restricted, and primed to regain any weight you lose. We work with you 1-on-1 to improve your eating habits and relationship with food. We'll make sure you're eating the things your body needs to look and feel its best, while also teaching you how to eat all of your favorite foods, so you never feel restricted!

We provide you with workouts customized to your goals, your body type, your hormone profile, your fitness level, and your time availability. These will be workouts that you can do at home, or any gym, and easily fit into your schedule. Ultimately our goal is to get you better muscle toning results in a shorter period of time, because we’re working smarter instead of harder.

We don't just give you a nutrition plan and some workouts and then expect you to follow it. Our coaches communicate with you about your plan throughout the week, teaching you what to do at every twist and turn, and making sure that you always feel supported. Stress and mindset can keep a lot of women stuck, so our mindset specialists will help you through whatever is holding you back so that you never fall off track, and can create real change that lasts!
