We have been working with Valerie DeRoy since 2008 and have done 4-5 projects on our house with her; master bedroom, living room and dining room, study, family room and most recently, our KITCHEN (started in Jan '15).
Valerie brought an amazing understanding of proportion, an adept feel for soothing color and really understood my love of texture. The net result is that people who come to our home love the uncluttered, relaxed yet transitional feel of our home. You can put your feet not the coffee table and read the paper OR entertain in elegance for a large group.
The latest project, the kitchen, was the true test. Valerie encouraged us to go outside of our comfort zone and change up the layout completely. In the end, we were so glad we trusted in her. The kitchen is streamlined, elegant, yet unpretentious. It is that way because we trusted her eye and she listened to our feedback.
I think Valerie would be an excellent partner in any design project.

She has the unique ability to combine what I already own with that wonderful French flair by adding a great piece of furniture, a new accessory or even just a new paint color and new drapes.
