Melissa waxed my face. She's very friendly and did great. I recommend her. I did break out quite a bit afterwards though as I have sensitive skin and there were still some hairs left on my face like my cheeks and stuff but the main areas were done well.

This place is a local gem. Affordable and amazing brow shaping by pretty much everyone here. Melissa did my brows for my wedding 2 year ago and spent 45 minutes shaping them with tweezers. Laura is my go to! Go see her!!

I'm a regular customer at Urban Beauty but today I had my first facial there. It was really lovely and my skin was literally glowing, bright and so healthy looking afterwards. Just got my lashes done by Jen P, and she was amazing!!!! My lashes look great and she went above and beyond to make sure they looked perfect. She also answered a ton of my questions about skin care and products. I will be back in two weeks for a facial and a lash fill. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!!!!! This is the best hidden gem I've ever found! $18 for brow shaping is so worth the money. My brows are now looking symmetrical. After moving out of state and a 5+ year hiatus from UBL, I returned last month for services prior to my wedding. I’m so happy I did! UBL is the only place I’ve ever gone and left happy after an eye brow wax... I unfortunately have crazy eye brows that are difficult to wax well. They take patience and a perfectionist. They’re long, curly and a random mix of dark brown and light blonde in color. I’ve had my brows waxed in Boston, NYC, & CT and UBL is better than any place I’ve been. First time at Urban Beauty Lounge and my experience could not have been better! I easily & quickly booked an appointment online on Saturday morning for a spray tan with Emily - there was lots of availability! I was welcomed upon arrival by a very nice, professional receptionist. The environment is very relaxing, clean, professional and easy to locate & park at. Emily is THE BEST! She makes you feel so comfortable and she is extremely professional. The spray tan came out perfect (no streaks, no orange color, no weird marks on my nails, no smell). The best spray tan I've ever had. When moving here last year I was so nervous trying some place new for my eyebrows (you know how some of us ladies are serious about our brows). I recently had a spray tan at Urban Beauty. I'm always a little nervous because A. It's weird being naked In front of strangers and B. Always worried getting sprayed at a new place because what if I look like an oompa-loompa?! However, urban beauty was so clean. All of the women were so kind. I truly forget the woman who sprayed me, but she made me so comfortable and we had great conversations. I got sprayed September 7 and I still have a tad bit of color left from it. I rarely write reviews, but I went here yesterday for my first facial in my life, and it was AMAZING. I'm getting married next month, so I wanted to jumpstart my skin care routine just in time for the wedding, and came across UBL reviews and decided to try it out. The entire place is clean very clean and the decor is so cute, and all of the women that work there are super nice. I had Mollie for my facial, and she did an awesome job of figuring out what my skin issues were. The facial and massage were AMAZING - I felt so relaxed! We chit chatted a little, and she is so friendly.After the facial, she pulled some products for me based on her recommendations, but didn't pressure me into buying anything at all. But, the products were so affordably priced, I ended up buying everything she recommended. All in all, I 110% recommend UBL for your beauty needs! I came here for a few Brazilian waxes before. The place is very cute and staff is friendly. They really make the environment feel tranquil and calm. Even though a brazilian wax hurts like a freaking b****, this place definitely does it right so that you're in the least amount of pain. They also use hard wax which is always a plus. Hands down, the best spray tan I've ever gotten! It's organic, doesn't smell terrible, so natural and even-looking, and super quick. I've been to much pricier places in and around Boston and nothing comes close. I come here every 3 weeks in the summer (sometimes more) and for every single event I have throughout the year. Loved this place! They did my daughter's make up for a prom and I had made a scheduling error with the appointment time and didn't realize it until the day before. They found us a new time with absolutely no problems. They were so easy to deal with. Very professional and pleasant and her make up was perfect. Two other girls were being done at by another artist at the same time and both those girls looked stunning also. Simply the BEST! Had my wedding makeup (entire bridal party, Mother of Bride, Mother of Groom) done by UBL Melissa and staff this past weekend. Everything from my trial to day of was nothing short of perfection. I have been going to Melissa for spray tan and waxing for years and she always knocks it out of the park. I love this place! I live nearby and decided to try them out for a variety of services, including facials, waxing, and eyelash extensions. Most importantly, I want to give a shout out for their amazing customer service. After having such a great experience with other services, I booked an appointment for eyelash extensions a few weeks ago. I have had extensions previously from other places so knew what to expect. Taryn did an amazing job, they looked lovely and felt super light. However, the next day, I noticed a ton of lashes falling out-- not my natural lashes, just the extensions, as if the glue didn't set properly. This is pretty unusual, and I had followed all the instructions carefully, so I gave UBL a call. I spoke to Alexa, who immediately booked me an appointment as soon as I could come in to have them looked at. They were gracious and accommodating, and since something clearly wasn't right with this set of lashes she booked me another appointment with Taryn as soon as possible and would do another full set to replace them, no charge. They weren't accusatory that I had done something wrong to my lashes, just incredibly helpful and ready to make it right. Taryn does a wonderful and thorough job--this second set has stayed on great and looks awesome. All the services are thorough, the place is spotless, and the vibe inside is so fun and cute. Also love that I can schedule and change appointments online, and they have appointments as early as 8:00am on some days. UBL is an amazing spot tucked away in Quincy...just a block away from Wolly Beach! The facility is super clean and is adorably decorated. When you walk in you are greeted by happy light pink walls and shelves with cosmetics, skin care items, and even some cute curated pieces of jewelry for purchase.Melissa, the owner, is amazing and works her buns off! She's a master at what she does and she's also hilarious. I go there every few weeks for a brow/lip wax and always look forward to joking around with her as she transforms my wildebeest eyebrows into a thing of beauty. She takes her time to wax, trip, and pluck them into a perfect shape.I also get a spray tan from Meliss every few months (and she also did both of my competition tans for fitness/bodybuilding shows). Again, she does a fantastic job and the tan lasts quite a while!  There is also a loyalty punch card for spray tans. VERY NICE!I can't say enough good things about UBL and Melissa. Love, love, love. 5-star experience all around. Called and was accommodated for same day appointment. Clean, tiny gem of a place located behind Wollaston beach. No problem finding parking. Owner (Melissa) greeted me at the door and was friendly and professional. She takes pride in her business and it shows.  Though my brows are in much need of work, they're on their way to looking much better after just one appointment. When I moved to Quincy earlier this year, I was looking for a new place to get my eyebrows waxed and am SO happy I found Urban Beauty Lounge! I've seen Taryn twice and she is fabulous. I have pretty sensitive skin that doesn't always respond well to waxing, but Taryn was aware of this and used a different wax so my skin wouldn't be too irritated. I went for my very first ever spray tan; my appointment was with Taryn and she was absolutely amazing!  I was really scared of looking orange or patchy since that's what I've seen on most people.  Though the tan came our perfect; I wanted a little glow and that's exactly what I got. Been here twice for brazilian waxes, and even though I live on the North Shore I won't go anywhere else.  The first time the wax was completely painless and done under 20 mins.  The second time the wax was a little more painful--but I was done in 10 minutes no joke.  Very professional, very efficient, and very friendly.  I recommend them to all of my friends. I got an accelerated spray tan with Taryn for a fitness photoshoot. I was nervous the color wouldn't develop enough in the time stated (3-6 hours) so I decided to not shower it off before the shoot (I went 12 hours before showering). The color was perfect. It has lasted 4 days, through 4 showers. People have complemented that the color looks really even. There is no splotching on my hands, feet or elbows. So happy, I'll be back! More...

Coming from a spray tan connoiseur, this place is legit! Beautiful even bronze color. Also treated myself to the Monroe brow treatment. .. which is a wax and tint! All done by the very fabulous Kate.. Very impressed by the way it came out, as I'm extremely particular about my brows. This was my first visit to Urban Beauty Lounge, and I will absolutely be returning to see Kate for another tan, and Monroe. Melissa is simply the best at what she does. She's my go to person for over 5 years now.Waxing: she's so hilarious that she'll make you laugh and you won't even notice that she's pulling that blue wax off of you. Always keeping my brows on point! Make-up: thank you for making me looking stunning for Girls Night Out and Weddings.  She doesn't try to sell you anything. She actually gives advice/techniques on how to wear make-up. The salon has cute accessories and great skin care and make up products.
