I sent a Yelp message to this company with pics. They're non-responsive. I also went from their website to get an estimate and waited hours for a phone call, no call ever. So I gave them a call, and the lady opened my request for an estimate and quoted me the worst case scenario of 5k dollars to replace a side panel. needless to say, first impressions are everything. I brought my 2001 M5 for a complete workover including brakes, Valve cover gaskets, body shop work (paint), and moon-roof repair. Like the majority of people, I was fooled by the great reviews. I spent over $11,000 on work. This was back in April 2021. Bringing the car to these guys was the worst mistake I have ever done. I have owned the car since new (22 years) and it has been babied for all of those 22 years. I am still paying (in June of 2023) for all of the stupid things that these guys did or didn't do to my car - including horrible paintwork (orange peel), electrical issues (they cut cables to the brakes and only twisted them together, causing all kinds of electrical problems), charged me for OEM shocks and struts and put third rate parts (not OEM), destroyed the interior of the car by having contractors work on the moon roof with heavy boots and not protecting (and therefore damaging) any of the interior, including leather seats, dash, armrests. I brought the car back to them 4 times for them to correct things and they would fix one thing and mess up another. An example - they failed to reconnect the driver-side door speaker and when I brought it back for them to fix that, they messed up the automatic uplift of the window. Something like this happened every time I brought the car back - fix one thing, mess up another one - until I decided that enough was enough and I did not bring the car back to them. Finally, they did not even tighten the windshield wipers correctly. I found out during a bad storm when the wipers started acting crazy (one going one direction and getting stuck with the other) until they stopped working. I brought it to the BMW dealership and they explained the wipers were not tightened correctly. They did an overall inspection of the car and found all of the issues that these guys had done. There are still more issues, but the review would be way too long. If you care about your car mechanically or cosmetically, do not bring it to these guys. The worst shop I have ever used. More...

Thanks Uptown Automotive. I have been using this shop for over 3 years. I have always had a great experience. They’re kind, knowledgeable, experienced and they take the time out to address all your concerns about your vehicle. They’re very thorough and they get the job done. They even offer Lyft service if you need a ride to come in and pick up your car. Horrific experience. Thousands of dollars down the drain. Car in shop for 5 months for a weeks work. Excuses and lies on delays. Car returned in worst condition than when taken in. Brakes squeal after brake job. AC not working as they couldn't fix it. Refunded $123 after charging $700 for that part of the non repair on A/C. Soft top on convertible which worked when brought in no longer functions. Piece of door broken and left on front seat when returned. Misdiagnosed repairs. Left multiple messages for owner / manager to call and nothing. Left owner vm on cell phone no return calls. They don't give a damn. Car at reputable shop now assessing damages these savages did. Pains me to do so, as each and every employee I've met here is extremely nice, however my most recent service here was beyond disappointing. First, it's extremely hard to get an appointment here. I understand this is a very popular business, but perhaps an assistant or two to respond to text messages, inquiries, etc. would be helpful. Additionally, it was like pulling teeth to receive an emailed quote, prior to scheduling an appointment, although it's something they say they are willing to provide. Those issues I have ignored. But most recently after receiving repairs on my vehicle I noticed the service light was still on. I was confused and assumed it would take a few miles to turn off; it never did. Zameer actually reached out to inquire on my satisfaction with service and I told him that my service light was still on and asked if it would turn off by itself. No response! To make matters worse, not long after service, my car starts acting psychotic. Come to find out, via another mechanic, that one of my batteries is completely drained. Nothing indicated that my battery was dying when I got a Service B? This was only in November and there is nothing I've done differently since receiving service. Trust me, I know how to not drain my battery. And since my service light never turned off, never received a response from Zameer re why my service light was still showing AND the fact that my car is now having issues, I wont be returning. I've been driving from north Houston because when I find a business I like, I'm extremely loyal, so this is unfortunate. But at least I was able to locate a great mechanic who is closer to my residence. No more driving an hour for a business that clearly didn't care about my "satisfaction". Like I said, nice group of folks, but customer service and communication could be better. Think about it; if I received a response at the very least, I wouldn't be updating my review. More...
