United K9 Academy is a veteran run business who’s mission is to produce highly trained dogs both as working canines and as daily companions. Our trainers have a combined experience of over 30 years and we pride ourselves in using a balanced training system that finds the best method of training for each individual dog, instead of trying to use the same strategy for every pup.

We had our Rocco for a three week board and train with Jonathan and his wife - and it’s the best thing we could have done. After extensive research and meeting with trainers we felt most comfortable with Jonathan and his wife, they were professional and knowledgeable and gave us peace of mind that our Rocco would be in great hands while we were overseas! We received videos, pics and updates on a regular basis and from that wild boy Rocco that we turned over to Jonathan we got a much more behaved and controlled dog back! He was seriously over excited about everything but became more disciplined, knows boundaries and we are very happy with the results. Jonathan is committed to continuously help out if need be and he is always reachable. We definitely made the right choice and would recommend them very highly. My wife and I decided to choose United K9 academy for boarding and training of our dog, Indy, while we were on a vacation where we would have had to board Indy regardless. We were very impressed with Johnathan, who came out to do some initial obedience training leading up to the trip. He showed his passion for training dogs effectively during those sessions, which reinforced our decision to board Indy with them. Furthermore, the fact that they posted videos of Indy's progress during our vacation allowed us to follow Indy's progress and gave us an opportunity to see how he was doing. They were also willing to brush Indy and help keep his tear stains under control, which goes above and beyond. The only think I might recommend is to team up with a groomer to bathe the dogs at about the two week mark. Overall, I highly recommend United K9 Academy. The cost of the boarding may seem pricey at first, but when you add up the three weeks of boarding coupled with three weeks of obedience training, and the willingness of the team to accommodate small extras, it becomes quite affordable. Jonathan did a wonderful job with training Violet and helped with the transition back home after her 21 day board and train. She is well on her way to becoming a great service dog thanks to United K9 Academy and the dedication of its trainers. I especially appreciate the open communication in case I have questions or need to schedule another lesson. I have done a lot of searching for a trainer and talk to many. When it come to professionalism and customer service these guys go above and beyond. I went to event in killeen and stopped by a dog trainers booth that was there. She said she was a positive only trainer (positive only dog training with Isabella) just listening to her talk to another person about United K9 Academy. I was like she is rude and not professional. So I check out United K9 Academy I'm glad she was talking about them I would have never as soon as I did. Don't know what that trainers problem with them but these people are great. After years of being told there was no hope for my other dog aggressive Coco and I should put her down, I found an ad for United K9. It seemed like a sign so I sent a message and was greeted by trainer Tanja. Let me say she is my hero, our HERO!! The difference is night and day in just 4 private lessons!! I have only been to a few classes so far and I am really impressed. It blew my mind how awesome he is with dogs. Though I had no reason to be skeptical having seen all the great reviews for Velox k9 Academy. I got in with an amazing discount since my k9 son is a rescue. To top that the owner even put me in contact with TADSAW to see if I qualify to have my baby trained as a service dog for free. My boy has anxiety issues and I thought he would be untrainable but he did amazing the one who needs the training is his mother who loves to spoil and forgets homework. My dog is out camping and everyone is in shock of how well behaved she is. Thank you again. But I have a question. So John walked her or had her outside all day they are camping on a ranch. All day no pee no poop. Goes in the camper and she pees. They rush her outside for another 30min and nothing. Inside and poops. Is it the smells? By the size of the pee puddle and poop she has been holding it for a long time. Today I don't think she has even been inside the camper. Someone has had her walking her or laying down by them and still hasn't peeped or pooped. More...
