We just had 20 chairs reupholstered (8 dining room,10 matching folding, 2 matching living room). We inadvertently picked a rather complicated pattern; and every single chair is absolutely perfect! The central feature of the pattern is dead center on the seats, cushions and backs of every chair--the work is incredible! Every one is like a clone of the next one. Superb workmanship! The refinishing on the living room chairs to match the others is magnificent. Dalia and Paul were a pleasure to work with. And, by the way, the shades in the dining room are absolutely beautiful! I just finished using United Decorators for my window treatments in my living, dining rooms and was so delighted with the final product.  Paul brought over to my home  an extensive selection of beautiful material to choose from and my Austrian shades with outer festoons and jabots looks amazing.  I was so at ease with his helpful knowledge and expertise that picking out these treatments was a breeze.  I would definitely recommend them  and I am already using them for a window treatment in another room since I am so impressed with their work. Fantastic experience with Paul. He came with fabric books just a few days after my call. His recommendations for fabric were great and when he told me this would all be done in a month, I was pleasantly surprised and even happier to have actually taken delivery of eight antique dining chairs exactly one month from the first visit. Also, the repair work/cleanup of the chair frames made everything look great. (There had been a decorative piece of the frame actually broken off the top of a chair and I could not even tell which chair it was after the repair.) Looking forward to having more work done. I've used United several times over the years.  My last job was delivered July 25th.  They do excellent work-- and re-furbished/ upholstered an antique side chair and ottoman for me.  I also had an additional slipcover made for the ottoman.  The work is excellent, and they know what to do with the fabric, how to optimize and match patterns, and always create the perfect piping and perfect fit. Their work is spectacular. We had two barrel chairs and six dining room chairs reupholstered. The workmanship is immaculate and the attention to detail is stunning. All the piping is even and level. The new cushions on the dining chairs are the perfect height and very comfortable. The new cushions on the barrel chairs are perfect, supportive yet squishy and so comfortable. The way they lined up the pattern on the barrel chairs is amazing. The buttons on the back of the chair are the center spots of the pattern we picked. We already plan to have them do more work for us, two more chairs and some curtains. Paul was wonderful to work with. Two week turnover time. Couldn't ask for better! I could give them more than 5 stars I would.We had more work done! They made us a bolster for our bed, restored and recovered an antique, and made our little rocker arm chair look like new. I ordered blinds for my new apartment with United Decorators. They came out beautiful. The installers were very good. They put them up very quickly and professionally. The installer saw a heavy mirror on the floor and asked if I needed it hung. He offered to do it. I was very grateful. My husband and I had been wanting to get our dining room chairs reupholstered and we finally decided to do it before Easter this year since we were hosting at our home.  Paul was very accommodating with our schedule.  He came over during the weekend with many different samples and my husband and I settled on a pattern.  We had about two weeks before Easter and Paul had everything finished and dropped off with days to spare.  We requested additional padding for each seat (6 of them) and they were so comfortable.... They gave us a thorough walkthrough of all available options of Hunter Douglas blinds and advice that would work best for our needs. In July of 2011, United Decorators reupholstered a large sofa for us. The fabric we selected had a complicated pattern which required careful placement and matching. The finished product was absolutely beautiful and graces our living room today. We recently purchased a dining room rug and decided to reupholster our 10 dining room chairs. Remembering our excellent past experience, I called United Decorators and was delighted to retain their services once again. We had a sofa bed that needed reupholstery and reached out to United Decorators. After visiting the shop and reviewing fabrics with great help from Paul's wife, we received samples of several fabrics to make our final selection. We are very happy with our refurbished over 60 years old chair.It was easy working with United Decorators. Paul and his workers areprofesional , helpful and pleasant. It took us a while to decide on a fabric, but Paul was very patient and helped us to pick a fabric that we loved.Although I think the cushion is too hard for me, I was told that after some use it will become softer. United Decorators has been doing work for my house for more than 30 years! Paul and Dalia are the nicest people, and their workshop does beautiful, perfect work every time. They reupholstered my 40 year old sofa (see photo) and mid-century chairs I bought at auction, and made them look gorgeous. (I also bought designer fabric through them, at a discount.)
