I used to go to this facility several years ago when it was the WYCA. I had to quit back then because the pool water smelled rank. In fact when you walked into the pool enclosure it was stinking of chlorine. (BTW since chlorine itself is odorless, a "chlorine smell" in a pool is actually chlorine compounds formed by human byproducts like sweat and funk. PU.) I just joined under new ownership and the difference is like night and day. The air smells fresh in the pool room and I have no pool smell on my skin after toweling off. The exercise room was also clean. The employees at the desk and around the premises are friendly too. Big thumbs up! More...

Love this gym. Everyone is really friendly and there are always weights and machines free. I recently started going to this gym and have already met some awesome people who were always open to give advice!also the staff is awesome!

I love this place. I always feel at home and comfortable. The pool and aqua aerobics classes are great. Love working out in their gym everyone is so friendly and helpful.

I've been coming here awhile. It suits me just fine. I come here for the pool.  In my opinion this is a facility for a mature clientele.  There's a fitness center which I have just started to use.  It has a circuit training area, ellipticals, treadmills and 2 recumbent bikes. The equipment is old but most of them work. It's a bare to the bones place nothing fancy and no frills. They also have Zumba classes which are very popular. The problem with the Zumba room is it's to small. They have quite a few other classes check the website for the schedule.  Their is a free weight room which I haven't used.They also have an after school program which is confined to a small area right outside the pool.If you want something more luxurious try Golds or Sportsplex.UPDATE 2-20-2014If you are interested in taking the water aerobics classes be aware that they have cancelled ALL  the evening  water aerobics classes and some of the morning classes. This is the equivalent to what the YMCA is in major cities like NYC.  The place is not that small but the layout I feel is slightly awkward.  While it does not compare to the major gym brands it is a cheaper alternative for those that want to join a gym but lack the dedication.  They have gym equipment but in a small area, they offer those aerobic type classes the chicks usually dig and their major source of income (I believe) is the large swimming pool they have indoors.They have a really large swimming pool with about 3 lanes for lap swimming, an area for general swimming and a diving board.  Pool hours are very limited for free swimming but they do have a good number of hours allotted to those that like to swim laps.  They also offer year round swimming lessons for the newbie and those that want to refine their swimming skills.  Instructors are high school students from the local swimming team and they are VERY knowledgeable and VERY good at swimming.  I can't stress their amazing abilities because my kids have had lessons for almost a year and the skills my children now have are obvious.This is not your "Golds" gym but it's a decent substitute, unfortunately because of the layout I'd recommend a visit before committing because it may or may not be what you are looking for.
