Dearest Uncle,Thank you for the All Flavorful sandwiches.  Your friendliness, attention to each customer's well-being is genuine As F**k.  Whatever the "AF" stands for, we can All Freakin' agree that this unique family-owned shop in the heart of a nondescript strip mall in Agoura Hills is delicious.  A slight nod to the Dream Cafe from Seinfeld, this internationally-inspired joint provides homemade sandwiches and salads that are all prepared to order and deliver on goodness.  Expect a 30-45 minute wait (even with no one in front of you), because Uncle needs time prepare your meal fresh.  On this particular visit, my wife and I decided to try the "Happy Cow" (Vegan Sando on Ciabatta with Sautéed Mushrooms, Avocado, Caramelized Onions, Olives, Arugula and Pesto and the "Chicken Burrata" (Chicken Breast, Tomato, Avocado and Pesto on Ciabatta).  We also decided to add French Fries and a Side of the Tortellini Pesto Pasta. The sandwiches were a perfect size, with bread crispy outside and delicious ingredients inside.  The serving was in a 12-inch catering tray, filled with fries.  No stinginess here!  The pesto was homemade, tasty and left me (us) wanting more.  The pasta was flavorful and a decent side size.  The menu is extensive and there are options whatever your dietary restrictions or tastebuds demand.  A few indoor and outdoor tables to enjoy your meal, or plenty of parking to drive-in and dine.  The staff is friendly, works hard and takes time to make sure customers are treated right.  If only my real Uncle had these culinary skills.  Truly a hidden gem. AMAZING AF (pun intended)! I really want to try something other than the chicken burrata sandwich, but it's SO GOOD that I've ordered it both times I've been there so far. Uncle Af is the nicest guy, and makes a "house blend" of what I call honey lime ice tea (I can't even describe how delicious it is - and it's not on the menu - he will tell you all the details of what's in it if you want). Family and friends also give rave reviews to the Af's Cold Cut sandwich (#9) and the Chicken Firecracker sandwich.The roasted parmesan Brussels sprouts are addicting, and tonight's order included some free onion rings (both times I've been there, Uncle Af has thrown in something extra, how cool is that?). Sheesh! Everything at Uncle Afs is flavored with a personal touch. Even the side salad is treated like a main course well seasoned, fresh, and beautiful. Ordered the Tuna Sandwich with a side salad for lunch. I drive to Thousand Oaks solely for these paninis. And that's from Pasadena, which if you know LA, isn't near Thousand Oaks! But I digress. Sandwiches here are the best. Worth sitting in traffic for. We had a doctors appointment in Westlake Village  today and decided to look up a sandwich place around and luckily we came accross this place. I am such a sandwich lover but not all places know how to make a delicious sandwich. I tried both the tuna panini and the salad olivieh sandwich and they were both to die for. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. Even though its a bit of a drive for us we will definitely come back for more yummy food. Always looking for a solid sandwich spot in any new city I visit and this is the place to go if you're ever in the Malibu area. Unique panini-style sandwiches so rich in flavors and you can tell are made with quality ingredients. So far I've tried the Chicken Firecracker and Chicken Burrata which are 2 of their popular items and both are just delicious, not to mention huge in proportion too. The Firecracker definitely packs a punch but is one of the most unique sandwiches I've tried so definitely recommend it! The people who work here are so incredibly lovely. I ordered the chicken burrata panini and a house iced tea, which the gentleman behind the counter was so excited about and promised I would love- spoiler alert, I did! It's limey and sweet and totally unique. He made a big point of telling me to come back before I left and gave me a full refill for the road! So nice of him! We have had the pleasure of eating at Uncle AF since they opened. Now due to the COVID we order a very large amount of takeout food for our corporate lunches; my family enjoys the food several times a week. In our opinion and experience, the food quality is absolutely superb, amazing and delicious. I know people like this place.. I'm not sure why. They ignore you as you stand in the doorway to order. You pretty much have to beg them to come take your order. As a first time customer i had some questions. That bugged him so much! I Â finally just ordered and took my chances. And the wait is incredibly long if there is anyone else at all there. We went poking around the area (from Redondo) and we stopped by this place for the vegetarian options. I got the "Happy Cow" (awesome name) and my wife got a Nutella marshmallow desert sandwich and a ginger/honey/lemony drink of some sort. I have to say the products here are super good and pretty unique (in a very good way). I normally don't like the girly tea kind of drinks but was pretty blown away on how good it was. Had just enough honey to take the bitterness out and not overly sweet. Super refreshing! My wife picked up In and Out ,which I skipped, in favor of coming here to order the "happy cow" which was exactly what I was looking for. A really great mix of mushrooms with avocado on fresh bread. Desert was kind of like a s'more. Pretty awesome combination of Nutella and marshmallow. The guy that greeted my wife had such a nice/glowing personality, which really made a huge impression on her. We frequent this business 2-3 times a week. The food is always stellar and we've been loyal customers during this pandemic. However, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired by this owner. He is condescending, passive aggressive and rude.I was berated by the owner for asking for an "extra side of Mayo and ketchup today. I told him I would pay for it and had no issue paying extra. I understand times are tough, so I'll fork over the extra, I don't need to be humiliated over a side of ketchup.This isn't the first time he has berated me. I sometimes have to make simple adjustments on the orders because of family members with allergies, again he lectures me about how busy they are and what a pain it is for him.I haven't seen him treat any of his male patrons like this when they ask for similar things like me, so I don't know what his deal is.I'd rather take my business elsewhere were an extra side of condiments or saying hold the aioli doesn't result in the owner being a jerk about it.Goodbye uncle Af's, we will take our consistent and loyal business where it's appreciated. I found out about Uncle Af's through Yelp and I am so glad the reviews are accurate! We ordered based off the reviews and what seemed the most popular. We ordered the chicken firecracker sandwich, the chicken burrata sandwich, fries, and onion rings. We loved both sandwiches. The pesto and burrata was delicious. The firecracker sandwich was amazing and definitely on the spicy side. The fries and onion rings were both good. The onion rings seem overpriced for the amount that you get. Uncle Af, is really like your own uncle, if you had an amazing uncle who loved you, and loved to make great sandwiches, and was just really, really, really good at making sandwiches, and any kind of food. Look at the picture below, and the one sign says it all, "The secret ingredient is always LOVE" and it is clearly obvious that Uncle Af pours love into every meal. Â I got the the tongue and mushroom sandi, and asked if I could try the Russian Soup. Â Uncle Af gave me a bowl, and I'm really glad he did, because it was awesome. Such a great experience and the food was so delicious! The man who helped me (possibly the owner) was so welcoming and made the whole dine-out experience superb!
