UACB offers comprehensive private investigation services including background investigations, record checks, litigation support and surveillance.
UACB was founded by San Francisco private investigator Kyle Jones after a twenty-year career as a Special Agent in the FBI’s National Security Branch where he worked against America’s top foreign intelligence and terrorism threats. These investigations regularly involved close working relationships with corporate executives to protect intellectual property, confidential business plans and information, cutting-edge research, critical physical assets and key personnel. Undetected investigation and quiet resolution of such issues were paramount in each and every investigation and are core components of all UACB investigations today. Kyle’s experience and methods for managing FBI national security investigations, that routinely spanned multiple states and countries, are applied to every UACB case. Kyle has also conducted hundreds of high-level background investigations for prospective FBI Special Agents, federal judges, nuclear scientists, presidential appointees and White House staff prior to being granted access to classified information, a proficiency that now benefits UACB clients with thorough and comprehensive pre-employment screening.
Prior to entering the FBI, Kyle served as a Deputy United States Marshal in San Francisco where he conducted international fugitive investigations and was the federal Judicial Security Coordinator for the San Francisco Bay Area. His responsibilities included analysis of threats to the federal courts, physical security and counterterrorism defenses as well as dignitary protection of members of the US Supreme Court, foreign diplomats and covert protection of participants in the Witness Security Program. Kyle’s depth of experience in successfully protecting some of the US government’s most important people and places is woven into UACB’s security offerings.
Kyle is a graduate of the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and US Marshals Service Academy in Glynco, Georgia, and the Russian Language Immersion Program at Middlebury College, Vermont. In addition, throughout his career he received regular training in the law, new investigative techniques, self-defense, ethics, combat shooting, information security, tactical driving, active shooter response strategies, continuity of operations, electronic surveillance and countermeasures and classified subject matter pertaining to foreign intelligence services and international terrorist organizations and their methods of operation.
Kyle was the recipient of two awards from the FBI for his counterintelligence efforts. He possesses a Top Secret security clearance, performs background investigations under contract with the FBI and also provides executive protection for a Fortune 500 company.
