Tymia did my makeup for my wedding one month ago.  Her wedding package included trial makeup which was nice to avoid surprises on the big day.  She prepped me for the trial instructing me to bring my favorite makeup looks.  I found this really helpful because I do not wear makeup on the daily. During the trial, she allowed me to test out multiple looks until I found one that I loved.  She was extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain her recommendations.  She did not disappoint on the big day.  I got so many compliments on my wedding day.  Her calming spirit was also just what I needed when a few hiccups happened prior to the ceremony.  I would hands down recommend Tymia for makeup for any major event! I knew without a doubt I needed to book Mia to do my makeup for my wedding day because I had such a positive experience with her doing my makeup as a bridesmaid on 3 previous occasions. Mia is so knowledgeable and talented. We did a trial and she recommended a skin care regimen so that my skin would look great on the wedding day. My makeup lasted perfectly through tears and the 10 hour day! I felt like the best version of myself she made me feel beautiful. Went to Tymia's location to get makeup for a maternity photo shoot. She is warm, friendly and very professional. Her work is fantastic! Mia is the absolute best! I chose her for my wedding and bridal party makeup because I have used her previously for other services and she does amazing, quality work. Everyone's makeup turned out flawless and she was very flexible with me while still staying within guidelines and making things runs perfectly smooth. My bridal party ranged from my mom who is 67 years old to myself at 30 years old with complexions  that ranged from African American to Asian to very very fair white and everyone loved the way theirs turned out. Her pricing is fair and very competitive to other MUAs. she sends you a pamphlet to see her services up front and a final breakdown so there are no surprises. I'm not from Baltimore area, but my wedding was in Baltimore county. I found Tymia on Yelp and I'm absolutely happy with my and my bridesmaids' looks on my wedding day! !!! Tymia was punctual and arrived at my in-law's house at 8:15, despite the cold weather outside. My bridesmaids and I were thrilled with our looks, since Tymia is super professional that she applied different make-up based on the shape of our facial features. Mia is fantastic! I decided to try out lash extensions, and was impressed with her reviews. I was pretty nervous going into it, I really didn't know anything about lash extensions. She was so great! Explained the process to me and walked me through picking out the look that I wanted. The experience is SUPER relaxing. Heated super-cushioned chair, very relaxing music (though you can bring your headphones if you want to listen to music on your phone), very nice/ clean/ relaxing room. And the results are even better than I could have expected! I get compliments on them all the time :) I am never, ever going back to mascara. Mia is amazing! She is very responsive to email/text. She is fantastic with follow up. She is talented with various styles of makeup. I explained to her my vision for makeup for the wedding - the theme, my dress, etc. When my big week arrived, I was hesitant to get my lashes done - I've never had extensions before. When I met her to have them applied, she explained the different types to me and I described what I wanted - nothing fake looking - natural and full. Boy did she deliver! I was amazed at what a perfect job she did! As for the big day, she delivered again - consistent amazingness! I loved my makeup! It lasted all day and evening, even with my tears! Had the awesome opportunity to have my first-ever makeup lesson with Tymia. It was worth every penny!!  I loved the fact that she showed me how to use the makeup I already had to create the look I wanted. Now, I finally have the confidence to create my own smoky eye with whatever palette I choose. Since having the lesson, I'm no longer intimidated by makeup. I cannot give a more esteem, whole-hearted recommendation for Mia... Her talent and professionalism are second to none when it comes to make-up artistry for bridal parties. Several years ago, Mia did the make-up at a friend's wedding, and because of the remarkable job that she did on the bride and bridal party, my friends have ONLY looked to Mia for bridal make-up - so much so that she was literally the first vendor that I booked within weeks of my engagement...She is an absolute perfectionist with her work and is especially skilled when it comes to adapting to women of all ages and their varying make-up preferences. Even my mother who is a notoriously difficult customer was elated with her work.To top it all off, Mia was an actual champ during one the more stressful wedding-day situations that she has likely been put in. Less than a week before my wedding, I became suddenly sick with a virus. Right when I first started to develop symptoms, I (irresponsibly) went through with an already-scheduled appointment with Mia to get my lashes done (also HIGHLY recommended) and figured that I just had a minor cold. During the lash appointment, I clearly gave Mia whatever I had because my symptoms severely worsened from there and Mia then started to develop the same symptoms in the following days. When my wedding day came, I finally started to feel like myself but Mia was beyond sick as I had been a few days previous. Even though she felt completely terrible and should have been at home resting, Mia arrived early, did an AH-MAZING job, kept us on schedule and didn't skip a single beat. Tymia did an amazing job with wedding makeup for myself and my 7 bridesmaids, plus my mom and mother in law! She was on her feet all day, and we all looked amazing. She was friendly and responsive in all of our communications, punctual for all of our appointments, and very up front about the cost of service. Most importantly, she made me look and feel AMAZING on my wedding day. As someone who avoids makeup at all costs, I was very nervous about having my makeup done professionally but Tymia eased all of my concerns. After a long time of arduous research on eyelash extensions, I finally decided to make the investment and I am so glad I did. Tymia is fantastic and is truly an expert. As a new beginner to lashes, she carefully walked me through the process before, during, and after. Prior to my appointment, she discussed and provided all necessary materials information on what to expect and had me complete a short assessment that would address any sensitivity issues or allergies my eyes may have. During the actual application of the NovaLashes she created a super comfortable atmosphere and fortunately squeezed in a nap before work. Mia was great! She was very responsive and gave very detailed instructions before, during, and after the appointment. She even gives a list of products to use and where to get them. Now for the lashes. I am a blonde and my lashes are very light. Mia explained all the different types of lashes available. I decided on a natural curl and volume with a cat eye. The application took about 2 1/2 hours. I fell asleep during most of the appointment. It was so relaxing. She has a heated table to keep you comfortable and relaxed. After she was finished I couldn't believe how AMAZING my lashes looked. My lashes look amazing. I'm so thrilled. I'm also hooked. I cannot imagine life without them. I cannot begin to say enough amazing things about Mia. Mia traveled from Baltimore to Northern VA to do my makeup and 3 other family members (ages from 25-58). All four of us have different likes, coloring, styles, and personalities. She effortlessly met all of our needs and desires. We all loved our makeup and got multiple compliments throughout the night. And boy did the makeup last! We had multiple events and never had to do a single touch up. Our makeup looked freshly applied all night. Mia was a dream to work with. Tymia did a fantastic job on my wedding make-up. It was easy to set up a trial run with and the make-up was spectacular! I've never felt more beautiful in my life! I opted for the airbrush and lashes which I would definitely recommend to give any bride to be an extra pop on their special day. It is a bit more expensive but it is so worth it! The make-up really lasted the entire day and made me feel really special. She is so talented and professional I can't recommend her enough! Tymia is an awesome lash technician and it shows in her work. She is friendly and knowledgeable. She is professional and detailed oriented. When I first contacted her about making an appointment, she gave me information on exactly what glue and lash extensions she was going to put on me and clear instructions on how to prep my lashes. She also gave me detailed after care instructions after my full set of lashes were done!I had gone to a salon where eyelash extensions were just another service in the back. They mostly did nails. I decided never to go back because of the service I received. The lash technician rushed and did a poor job. My eyes were stinging from the glue the next week (and I've had lash extensions before), my lashes were falling out in chunks, and I wasn't happy with the lashes she put on me. She didn't listen to what I wanted at all. I asked for natural and she gave me very dramatic, going out lashes. I know now not to go to a nail salon to get lash extensions!Based on reviews on Yelp, I decided to contact Tymia and boy am I glad I did! So far, I've gone for my full set of lashes and a 3 week fill. Will be going to her regularly now that I've found her!! She really listens to what I wanted. I can easily brush through my lash extensions, they don't feel heavy, stiff, or hurt my eyelids and I haven't had any problems with the glue! Mia is awesome! I have been looking into trying lash extensions for a while now and decided this would be a good time of year to do it with the holidays. I emailed her last night and received a response back within 5 minutes breaking down the pricing, availability, and more information (including a video) about the application process. She had a last minute cancellation and was able to get me in to see her the following morning at 6:30am. When I arrived, she was extremely friendly and professional and talked me through exactly what type of look I was going for (length, thickness, curl, etc). Since I've never had lash extensions before, I was going for a more natural look to ease into it. My appointment took a little longer than expected, as she informed me I have many "layers" of lashes, making it more tedious and time consuming when applying a full set. It took about 3 hours, but I was dozing/asleep for most of the appointment. She was very informative and explained everything as she did it. It is very apparent she cares about her clients and wants to give them the best results. I could not be more happy with my lashes and plan to go back to see her for a fill in a few weeks. I first met Tymia for eyelash extensions and now I go for eyelash fillers and personal make up lessons. I felt very comfortable from day one. Her studio is very inviting and she is an extremely warm and friendly person. Before each lesson she takes the time to listen to what my goals are for that session. She then reviews what we are going to cover. She is very knowledgeable and knows a wide range of products and techniques. She is able to adapt and give advice if you have specific issues with sensitive skin or eyes. I was a beginner when I started and she was more than patient with me. Now I am able to recreate my look quickly and easily each morning. Tymia is dedicated to her clients and follows up to make sure you are pleased and she is reaching your expectations. I Love Mia! she is amazing and I am so happy I found her. I had such a hard time finding a make-up artist who would actually reply to me and answer all of my questions. She is always so responsive, willing to work with with you, and helped me so much just in general planning with timeline details. She was always so helpful and does a beautiful job. Mia is wonderful. She did my makeup on my wedding day, and she also did my sister's, my Matron of Honor. She is very professional and she can do wonders. I loved my makeup; everything maintained. The only thing that could be improved on was that I felt my foundation was a bit heavy. But even that was fine, and everyone said I was looking my best; I didn't tell her I needed anything fixed, but I know if I mentioned my concern with the foundation, Mia would have fixed it up. Mia is amazing! She did the make up for my wedding- working on myself, my mom, my teenage sister and several of my bridesmaids. She did a beautiful job, everyone loves their make up (even my highly critical mother who has never had her make up done before). Her work was natural, yet glamorous. She made us all look like a much better version of ourselves- perfect for a wedding. My makeup also stayed on perfectly through my tears at the ceremony. My niece was having her Sweet 16 party, and my sister wanted me to do her makeup.  I felt it was better if she had an actual professional do it because this was something that she will always remember (especially in pictures).  Tymia was easy to contact, and we quickly set it up.  Let me just say that my niece looked amazing.  She had a blue dress, and Tymia applied this gorgeous blue eyeshadow that was breathtaking.  The most impressive part is that her makeup remained flawless the entire night.  My niece danced all night, and while every other woman's makeup melted away, she looked like when Tymia first applied her makeup.  AMAZING!!!! I had a WONDERFUL experience working with Tymia! Her customer service was superb. She was prompt in communicating back and forth, she comes to you if needed, and is very patient with you during consultations (especially a plus with those who aren't as makeup savvy - like me)!
