What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
DJing is all about atmosphere, people will be comfortable dancing if you set the mood just right. If they see you as fun, they will have fun. Usually if there is a lull in dancing a quick throwback is in order, think of all those songs that get people to say “oh my gosh I LOVE this song!!!”
How would you describe your ‘style’?
My style is whatever you want it to be. So I suppose my style would be labeled versatile. I have done everything from “Moulin Rouge” themed parties to “The Great Gatsby” to sweet 16’s and Country Ho downs. I’ve done high fashion runways, memorial vigils, unity marches, biker bars, gay bars, Raves, Pride events, charity events, 80’s themes, I’ve worked with mayors and people of congress , non profits, small business. There’s nothing that I couldn’t do (I bet you’ve heard that a lot) but I have honed my skills to be flexible around whatever scene you are trying to set!
What do you love most about your job?
As much as I love music, my favorite part of my job is learning about my customers. When doing weddings especially I want to know WHY your first dance song is the song you chose. I want to know the stories and the moments that got you exactly where you are today, talking to a DJ for the most perfect day of your life!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I hated going to work and stressing through times where people were getting laid off, I’m quite a passionate person and I was tired of working so hard for people who crunches numbers instead of saw value in people. I decided to work for myself and even though I have hired people to work for me, they will tell you that working for me is like working for yourself, nothing my employees do goes unnoticed. That’s the way it should be.
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients should choose whoever makes them feel at ease through the party planning process. Guests rarely understand all the work that goes into making a day perfect for everyone, once you meet that vendor who makes you feel like you can breathe again, makes you feel like they understand, pick them. If that’s me, I am honored to be graced with an opportunity to create your event and make it a memory that lives on the forefront of your mind for the rest of your life.
