I loved working with Naomi of True 2 You Photography! She photographed our family for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and the experience exceeded all of my expectations. I live out of state which added some challenges to hiring a photographer, but Naomi made it very easy and put all of my concerns to rest. She was a true professional, and her prompt responses and attention to detail made me feel comfortable about hiring her without meeting first in person.On the day of the event Naomi not only picked out beautiful poses and backdrops on my parents’ property, but also was more than willing to mimic a few poses I found on Pinterest. She consistently made everyone feel very comfortable throughout the shoot, and even kept things fun by encouraging some of our silly poses and expressions. Her candid shots were nothing short of great as well, and it is no exaggeration to say her love of photography clearly shined through.To cap this wonderful experience, Naomi delivered the final images very quickly. Naomi photographed our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! She did her best to get to know us, which showed in her ability to capture our style perfectly. Before the wedding day, she was very responsive, organized, and easy to work with. When the day came, she was able to get all the shots we wanted, and many more. We loved re-living the day through the detail photos and the great candid shots she captured, and she did a particularly good job photographing our wedding Mass. The only downside was having to wait almost 90 days to see the full album, although she gave us plenty of sneak peeks right after the wedding. When my husband first wanted Naomi for a photographer I was very apprehensive. I hate having photos taken and was fine with the idea of just having a friend take wedding pictures. But Naomi put me at ease at our very first meeting. She told us just to talk and chit-chat and somehow managed to take beautiful pictures of us just being us. Then came the wedding... rather stressful time but there was absolutely nothing to stress about with our photographer. She sent us an email about wedding day timelines and was on top of things the whole way through. And true to her word we got our wedding pictures less than a month later. WE LOVE fTHEM!!! Not sure how she does it but she captured all of our special precious moments without us posing or with bizarre facial expressions. I think I fall in love with our pictures more every time I look at them. So thank you again Naomi. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to a great photograph isn't necessarily the quality of the camera or finding the most scenic place on earth. The secret to taking a great photo is being able to connect with the person you are taking photos of. Being sensitive to each individual person's needs, desires, and vision, and then giving it your absolute best to help make all their dreams become reality.
Great lighting and scenery is awfully nice too ;)
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
My goal is to get to know the couples I may be working with to get a better idea of the vision they have for their wedding.

What do you love most about your job?
I love capturing the little things. The little details that took hours to complete, and the little moments between the couple and their closest family and friends. But most of all I love the little ways couples show their love for one another. The whispers of "I love you" in the other person's ear, the gentle kiss on her cheek, or the little twinkle in their eyes when they look at each other.
