Everything was perfect! We had our wedding at the courtyard at Tropicana at the end of September. It was beautiful. It has palm trees and cobble stone. Our officiant, Randy, was great! He made our ceremony very personal. Our guests commented on how it sounded like he knew us, even though we had just met. I would 100% recommend!! More...

I had a small (20 guests) wedding ceremony at the Tropicana LV in their courtyard in September 2018. From the beginning to end everything was perfect. The coordinators were very helpful. The packages have numerous options to choose from to make it your special day. I really appreciated all of the staff members I came into contact with. I would recommend this to any couple looking for small and larger wedding ceremonies. I held my reception at a different location. More...

This was a perfect, “just add water” wedding planning experience. Brittany and Tropicana team made all of my envisions a reality. They have so many different packages with diverse budgets in mind. One thing I really loved about the packages that as that you could add or subtract anything from that package and they would give you a set price. Brittany was super good about getting back to me, whether by email or phone. We had our ceremony at the Courtyard and it was such a beautiful setting. Lots of greenery and flowers, and it is tucked away so it seems more secluded. One thing I would recommend if having your ceremony at Tropicana, would be to stay at the resort. It made our whole weekend so much easier. Our friends and family had the best time and it was such a great day. Wish we could go back in time to relive it again. Can’t wait to get our pictures back to see how they turned out. More...

We had our wedding at the small Arbor of the Tropicana. We chose the location because we only had 12 guests, and most hotel weddings are for larger groups and more costly. We took the "Enchanting" package because we wanted things to get organized without us having to bother about anything too much. Among the services included in that package, the consultation services were the best and are recommended because it included a limo to get the wedding license and additional info from a rep at the hotel. A disadvantage was once you have booked the package, you are nonetheless bombarded with emails for additional services, add-ons that cost extra, and it's confusing because we wanted what was included and nothing else. That's after all why we took a package! We were never asked about the choice of colors for the flowers, but were happy that white was the default. Also, if you choose this package you will have the opportunity for more pictures, which we recommend, but it costs about $500 extra to get all the pictures that were taken (about 65) and the video without copyright restrictions. The wedding itself was very good. Our minister was very respectful and the various people from the hotel who assisted, did a good job. We have a fond memory of our stay in Las Vegas. More...

Our ceremony was perfect...short, personal, and sweet. My family actually kept commenting about how this is how every ceremony should be. We met with Britany (now on maternity leave) the day before the ceremony to go over the day. We were able to pay all of our remaining fees and tips ahead of time. This was great! Much easier to take care of everything ahead of time rather than having to make payments the day-of. We also got to actually see the Island Chapel (our ceremony location) in person which was great since we had only ever seen it in pictures. We chose the island chapel since we are from Florida and it reminded us of a place we used to stay at in Key West. The room was actually even better looking in person. I didn't add on any flowers or decorations into our package because I figured that nobody would care if there were flowers scattered on the floor but me. I was thrilled to see that the room was perfect for us as-is. My money was much better spent upgrading my bouquet. And the staff was very accommodating in allowing a family member to pick up our flowers early so that we could use them in our pre-ceremony photos at a different hotel. Getting to and from our ceremony was a breeze. And as for the ceremony itself, it could not have gone any smoother and our officiant was great. For somebody who hadn't met us until right before, he didn't stumble once. He gave us standard vows to say "I do" and also allowed us to read our personal vows that we submitted online ahead of time. My only complaint from the day is that our Cashman photographer was not very good. But, I expected this and hired an outside photographer for everything but our ceremony. Photographer aside, the ceremony was absolutely PERFECT and even better than I expected. Looking back, I wouldn't have changed a thing. More...

And the staff was very accommodating in allowing a family member to pick up our flowers early so that we could use them in our pre-ceremony photos at a different hotel. Getting to and from our 3pm ceremony was a breeze. A stretch limo picked us up at our hotel right at 2pm and dropped us off at the North entrance to Tropicana. A different wedding coordinator was there to meet us and escort us to the chapel area. Once we were at the Chapel office, the officiant met with us about 20 minutes before the ceremony to go over what was going to happen (where we stand, the order of events, etc). He also asked us if we wanted any discussion about god or religion incorporated into our ceremony (we did not). He was such a professional. It all happened so quickly but we never once felt rushed. As for the ceremony itself, it could not have gone any smoother and our officiant was great. For somebody who hadn't met us until right before, he didn't stumble once. He gave us standard vows to say "I do" and also allowed us to read our personal vows that we submitted online ahead of time. My only complaint from the day is that our Cashman photographer was not very good. There weren't a ton of pictures from the ceremony to choose from and of those that were taken, the lighting or timing wasn't great. We didn't upgrade our photo package at all and still had a hard time picking out enough pictures to print in order to fill our package. That being said, I expected that our mandatory photographer wouldn't be that great and instead of upgrading our photography package for a fortune, opted instead to hire an outside photographer for pre-and-post ceremony photos at a different hotel. This wound up being much cheaper and gave us much better non-ceremony pictures to print. Photographer aside, the ceremony was absolutely PERFECT and even better than I expected. We had an overall good experience for our special day. A couple of small hiccups along the way, including wedding planner switches. We originally had Alicia Shaw who was a fantastic wedding planner. We toured the property with her in November 2015 and were pleased with the grounds and the packages. We booked with the Tropicana a couple of weeks later as this was the ideal location and the setup was what we wanted.Alicia was an excellent communicator and we were assured that there were no hidden fees, no surprises, etc. You have to use the Tropicana vendors. We were satisfied with the information she provided to us in the office, and we worked with her up until her departure from the company. She helped us get most of our ceremony details finalized right away, and connected me with Pat Bishop, who is the catering manager for the Beach Cafe where we held our reception. I was a Vegas local at the time, and it was very comforting and convenient to have the venue located on the Strip. I had taken a few trips in person to the chapel office and also the Beach Cafe for reception planning, and I felt pretty comfortable that everyone involved was on the same page.Unfortunately, Alicia left Tropicana prior to our wedding date, and we were reassigned to Brittany Najera-Tomlinson, who was polite but not as personable or responsive as Alicia. We had a little "miscommunication" regarding getting charged for extra chairs that were supposed to be included in our package.   When we signed our contract in Dec 2015 the package pricing included chairs for up to 70 people in the terrace. There are additional prices on the very last page of the package pricing which says additional chairs were extra. Unfortunately a little snafu occurred (so be sure to pay attention to your invoice when you are paying your final bill!) and they tried to charge us extra for 10 chairs when they were already included in our contract. Plus the Terrace venue fee on our contract was $100 and it went up to $150 in 2016 so their system automatically put the $150 on our bill, which had to be adjusted. This had me fuming, feels like they were trying to BS and nickel and dime us. Also a little misunderstanding with the flower pricing. It's just the principle not the money. We worked it out with Ashley Vidoli and Brittany, and they took it off the bill. The Tropicana has a beautiful outdoor terrace for small weddings of 60-70 people. The setup with chairs was well done, and the view overlooking the strip and the skyline was breathtaking. We didn't upgrade the flowers in our package, as it really wasn't necessary for our needs. My 6 rose hand tied bouquet was simple but very pretty, with white and pink roses. I was happy with it. The bridesmaids each carried a simple elegant white rose with a light blue ribbon, which looked great in the pictures and against their royal blue dresses. We also had a personal "day of" wedding coordinator named Claudia, who was super nice and very organized. She made us all very comfortable and kept myself and my bridesmaids calm before the ceremony. Pastor Charlotte was in the chapel office with us prior to the ceremony as well, and spoke with my husband and I prior to the ceremony. She was a pleasant person and very well-spoken, performed the ceremony message beautifully. Everything fell into place on the day of the ceremony, couldn't' have asked for a more seamless ceremony. The wedding ceremony video was a bit disappointing, mostly because the cameras were facing our backs when we were saying our vows. The DVD quality is subpar, but the photos are fantastic and professional. Our photographer was very personable (I can't remember his name ugh! He was great) and we had some candid shots along with very nice posed photos in the garden/courtyard area. The only other annoyance was the photo selection appointment a few days after the ceremony. We were told to go to the Tropicana hotel to view pics and we were supposed to receive our prints during the appointment. We met with Jose Lopez, and we viewed the proofs on a nice video presentation. But then we are told we have to pick up our prints in a couple days from the Little Chapel of Flowers because their printer was down at the Trop. With guests still in town, and me trying to pack and coordinate to move overseas, this was an extra trip and inconvenience that could have been avoided. We discussed our feedback with a manager at the Little Chapel of Flowers and we were satisfied with our conversation. Jose was easy to work with, very professional and courteous. I reached out to him a couple months after our wedding about placing another order for reprints. We were given a link to look at proofs and we placed our order with him via email. The prints arrived in a reasonable amount of time and they are great.Overall satisfied with the venue and the value for your money. It's a really amazing, quaint ceremony location especially compared with other venues in Vegas. More...

We had a small (10 guests) wedding on the terrace. It is a beautiful venue with a lovely background of tropical foliage and the MGM Grand and New York New York hotels in the distance, so it was quintessentially 'Vegas', yet classy. The officiant, Tropicana wedding staff (Angelica), food and staff at the Beach Café and cake were perfect for our small wedding. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was the photograpy/video. We wished the video would have been shot from behind our guests with the beautiful background behind us. As it was, we had a white background from the building, and you could only see my face, not my husband's. We did, however, purchase the DVD as my elderly parents could not be there. The photographer had a couple of nice shots of all of us and of a couple of small groups, but my son-in-law took much nicer (and more creative) pics. Other than that, we loved the Tropicana as a venue. After all is said & done, we were extremely happy with the way our wedding turned out. The thing to keep in mind with this venue, is that there are multiple departments to work with. The communication between the departments was somewhat lacking. Anything related with the ceremony, was handled by the chapel. Anything related with the reception, was handled by the special events department. Additionally, we had guests coming into town so we had to work with the group reservations department. When we originally booked the venue, this was not clear to us. We were advised by our family to narrow down our decisions as soon as possible. However, after talking to the event coordinator, we were advised not to make any decisions until 3 months out. We had scheduled a meeting to clear up several questions and start the process. Shortly after making the appointment, we were informed that the original coordinator was no longer working with the company. There were scheduling conflicts with the new person's schedule and this was not relayed to the chapel. By the time we were able to reschedule, we were 1 1/2 months out. We realized we had a lot of work & decisions to make. We wish we were told to make our decisions but to leave them open until they were needed. We also wish we were provided with a hard list of items that we needed rather than finding out that we needed something just a couple weeks before our wedding. The only issue that we had with the chapel was the photography. We found out after the wedding that the photographer was supposed to contact us months in advance to discuss amounts and packaging. As well as set an appt to view the proofs. Because of this, we were forced to make a last minute decision to find another photographer. The appt to view our proofs was made right after our wedding. Room reservations did not have our group code ready for a few months & our guests had difficulty booking. We also had an issue with our suite, which was double booked 1 night. More...

From the moment that we first laid eyes on the Havana Room we knew this was going to be the perfect venue. The Tropicana's Havana Room is like no other venue. It is not your traditional wedding banquet hall with endless amount of round tables. The chandeliers that surround the entire room are breathtaking & had my guest talking for days. However, no matter how beautiful the venue is, it was the people that we worked with that made our special day a fairytale. Olivia directed our ceremony, that was also in the Havana Room, and Jae directed our cocktail hour and reception. Olivia and Jae were absolutely amazing at keeping in contact with me through out the entire planning process. The vision that I had for our big day was beyond perfection.
Our ceremony package included a string trio and our guest loved the arrangement they played. We had a flawless ceremony thanks to Olivia & her assistant Katie. Katie was an absolute doll. Having the ceremony inside of the Havana Room was one our best decisions.
Jae, the reception coordinator, couldn't have been more perfect. Jae is probably the most patient person I have even met. As a anxious, nervous, and stressed bride she knew exactly how to calm me. We exchanged numerous emails back and forth regarding guest count, dinner choices, wedding date timeline, & not once did I ever feel like I was bothering her. Jae was organized & professional so I knew our wedding day was going to be perfect. All of our guest praised the hors devours during cocktail hour and they loved the plated dinner that was served. I can not keep saying how perfect our wedding day was! Also Essey, Jae's assistant, was simply amazing! She kept the evening running smoothly & on time. Also huge thank you goes out to Jeff & his A/V team. The lighting was superb and it felt like we were at a high end club. When the decision was made to get married in Vegas, we were a bit overwhelmed. Wedding planning seemed overwhelming, but planning a destination wedding just seemed crazy! All of the anxiety was erased when we began talking with Katie and Angelica at the Tropicana. They were amazing, prompt, and so easy to work with. The ceremony turned out better than I imagined it would be. Night time wedding In the Terrace provides a wonderful backdrop of the lights of the Las Vegas Strip. I must also give kudos to Tina Basilio who was our point person for the reception. So easy and wonderful to work with. If you are planning a wedding in Las Vegas, I highly recommend the Tropicana! We had a great experience at The Tropicana! We had a destination wedding in Las Vegas and it was so much more stress-free than if we had been married at home. Our coordinator was great when we requested a different location the day before the wedding due to circumstances beyond either of our control. When the alternate location fell through, our coordinator went above and beyond and upgraded our location to their premium spot at no additional costs. The ceremony and reception were beautiful and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you Tropicana! :) More...
