One of our favorite restaurants in the area for special occasions. Tonight we enjoyed the cheese plate (a vegetarian version), the hydro salad, pecan smoked chicken, catch of the day (salmon) with cauliflower two ways, the chocolate caramel bread pudding, and the gingerbread layer cake. The cake was a delightful, innovative surprise. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a true celebration of holiday flavors. The food is so delicious, and fresh here. Anything and everything from the bakery is impeccable, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. :) Great place for lunch, and even better for dinner! While I haven't been to Trio (only because of the geographical barrier) I can say, as a former work mate of Jason back in his Biga On The Banks days, he is inventive passionate and even back then he was very knowledgeable, he's now got 10 years more knowledge and experience. Had a lovely evening with friends. We started with the cheese plate. It was excellent! The pork tenderloin was tender & juicy, and the spare ribs with tamale were exceptional. That being said, the stars of the night were the mac & cheese, brussel sprouts, & smoked pecan bread pudding!! Next time I'll be tempted to skip the entree & fill up on these items. Did the once around the spring menu and was really impressed.

Cheese tray, looks nice and a couple of great cheeses with candied pecans (hint of comino), green apples. In house made Chorizo was exceptional. Nice starter.

Lobster Soup, Poached egg Cesar was incredible 2 and 3 course. Soup was a great blast of seafood and broth and not too heavy.

Entree was the Akaushi Beef fillet. Perfectly done. Great sear and not over seasoned. It was the absolute perfect hunk of beef.

We went to the Slanted Door tribute tasting dinner last night and it was one of the best we've been to and we've been to many.
Chef Jason outdoes himself every time. Looking forward to the wine pairing dinner in October. We already made our reservation.

Perfect lunch spot. Dinner is amazing too. I meet a girlfriend here about once a week. Everything on the menu is great. The wait staff is so sweet. As as vegetarian often I'm told....oh no we can't do that. Trio does their absolute best to accommodate this picky eater. I would give 6 stars but there are only 5 to select. This is a small unprepossessing restaurant in Colleyville. Tables are close to each other. Is that what you call an intimate restaurant? Where it shines is the food that is fantastic. Trio is our favorite, nearby restaurant. Our meals are always perfect with great presentation and amazing flavor. We love taking our own wine with a reasonable corkage fee.
We also go slightly early because it does get a tad noisy on Saturdays around 7 pm when everyone shows up.

Truly a remarkable experience from start to finish. We went for valentines day and the special menu. We were blown away, absolutly incredible dishes. Everything we ate was delicious, the stand out by far was the beef tartar and the Bordeaux braised short ribs. I've tasted some of the best flavors around working in high-end establishments for 10+ years, and just had the best meal of of my life thus far. That Tartar melted when I took a bite an the freshness was out of this world. I even asked the chef where he sourced his beef, it was that good.

This place is phenomenal! I usually come here for dinner. The staff and service is amazing, and there’s never a wait to be seated.
