If you can believe this, the best Italian food i have tasted in Henderson/Las Vegas is hidden in a strip center on Eastern Ave sandwiched between the Lowes shopping center and between the Lowes and Silverado Ranch Plaza The little shopping center is off eastern (not the other shopping center entrances) but i can tell you after visiting this place, you will be a big fan of the food! !! I have been to Noras, Gaetano's ristorante, Carmines. These are good Italian food operations, but when stumbled onto the trattoria I was amazed and pissed off. I was mad this place was right down the road from my home for 8 years and had NO IDEA it was there. The ambiance is true southern Italy, beautiful character. The Service is 5 star , seating is cozy, and they are johnny on the spot if you need something. The Food is very very very good. I am not sure how they do it but the flavors explode in your mouth and the meal is not heavy like so many Italian restaurants and buried with sauce to drown out the good stuff These owners are from southern Italy and they bring great food to those lucky enough to find it and go through their menu from multiple visits You will not be disappointed , promise. Can't even begin to explain how amazing this place was. Family owned everyone is so friendly and the food was so so good. Loved the music as well . And so kid friendly they let my 2 year old son dance while the love musician played on his guitar. The Napoli and the bananna pudding expresso martini are to die for! This restaurant has a horrible host/hostess staff, in my opinion. Every time I walk into the restaurant, it takes forever for a host or hostess to greet me. I can literally be standing in the entry way and waiters/waitresses will walk past me without saying a word and no one offers to seat me. An older woman, who may be the owner, does the same thing. It's National Spaghetti day and a very cold day, so we had to head out to one of our favorite local Italian gems Trattoria Italia on Eastern Ave. for some warm soup and great spaghetti. I love this local spot. The pasta is fresh, the recipes original, the food delicious and the service authentic. I love their bread rolls, served fresh out of the oven with a delicious olive oil dip. I had their minestrone soup to start and it warmed my soul deep to the core. For my entree I ordered the spaghetti puttanesca and omg, absolutely scrumptious. I've been here 4 or 5 times and I keep coming back because it's a tried and true Italian place. Consistent is the word. The service is always great, friendly, without much fuss, and very attentive. We usually cook a lot of fish and pasta for NY years but this year we don't want to do all the work but still enjoy some authentic Italian dishes and seafood. We ordered mozzarella balls, clams oreganata, arugula salad, lasagna, and fruti di mare' and garlic knots. Everything was truly really really good. If I had to criticize something it would be the lasagna, too much noodle not enough meat and cheese , but my wife enjoyed it. The clams and pasta was amazing and really authentic. Our party of 6 came here for dinner, searched for good authentic Italian outside of the Strip. We were pleasantly greeted by the staff and offered drinks while we looked at the incredible menu. Our awesome waiter, Mark (aka Bruno Mark) shared the specials and mentioned about owner/chef from Palermo. My husband and I just came from Italy, visited the north, central and south, and not once had terrible food experience. We are hoping this place will live up to it. I have to say, it certainly did! I ordered my fave, pappardelle Genova with shrimp. Though the pasta served was linguine, the flavors were magnifico. My hubby ordered Capricciosa pizza; our friends had fettuccine Alfredo and lobster special with side of rigatoni. Bonus: a pianist Frank performs on Fridays, 6-9pm. Trattoria Italia located on Eastern in Henderson was the perfect choice for a family dinner. We were a party of 11 looking for a family friendly restaurant nearby, and they were able to accommodate us. The restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. Quaint yet spacious, classy without being bougie, and the live music was a pleasant surprise. The menu offered all the Italian staples. With 11 people, we ordered a many different things from the menu and they were all cooked perfectly. Even the prime rib came out at a perfect medium temperature. Everyone was happy with their meal. Even the teenagers. Some things we ordered include the Prime Rib, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Calamari Toarmina, Grilled Salmon, Penne alla Vodka, Lasagna Romagnola, the list goes on. Again, everything was perfectly cooked. Kudos to the chef. So why 4, not 5 stars: the service. While the food and ambiance was flawless, the service was sterile, dry, and chaotic. The staff was working harder not starter fumbling over each other, bringing the wrong items to the table. We really wanted to connect with this lovely place, but our waitress was cold making us feel a bit unwelcome. Still, I highly recommend this restaurant and will be attending again for a second opinion. This place has huge potential and I'm already a fan despite the lackluster service. My recommendation to the owner, Consider injecting warmth and friendliness into the service. A genuinely welcoming staff would elevate the overall dining experience. Perhaps a bit more training in customer engagement could go a long way. Despite the service hiccup, Trattoria Italia left us with a positive impression, thanks to its delightful ambiance and outstanding cuisine. We love coming here for authentic Italian cuisine. I have visited Italy and it reminded me of the food I ate there. It wasn't a franchise fake like Olive Garden. Solid Italian food. The garlic rolls were amazing; actual garlic cloves in the bottom of the container. I'd definitely order those again. I tried the spaghetti aglio e olio for my main dish (first time ordering this anywhere) and think it was prepared well, but just my not fav dish. Was going to be on this side of town so I researched Italian restaurants and found this one. I checked their website and it said they opened at noon. My friend and I got there around 2:30 and found a hand written sign on the door that said they did not open until 4 PM. I contacted them through the email on their website and suggested they update their hours of operation but never got the courtesy of a reply. A couple of weeks later I was in the neighborhood and it was after 4 PM so my friend and I decided to eat there. Outside there was a blackboard sign that said there was "Happy Hour IN The Bar" between 4-6. We sat at a table in the bar area with the restaurant tables on the other side of a pony wall. When the waitress/bartender came over we asked to see the happy hour menu only to have her tell us Happy Hour was AT the bar but since it was not busy she would allow us to order off the Happy Hour Menu. I guess it didn't matter that the only customers in the whole restaurant were all IN the bar area. We had the Antipasto Miso Tangliere which was tremendous and had a large variety of items on it. My friend had Ravioli Capri and I had Chicken Parmagiana which were just Ok. For dessert my friend ordered cannoli and the bus boy never asked which size she wanted and automatically brought the large one. She asked for a refill of her diet coke and when we got the bill there was a charge for 3 cans of soda. What bar does not have a soft drink fountain. We should have been told that there was an additional charge for a refill but the waitress only took our order and after that she was at the bar and the bus boys were the ones who came to the table and they did not understand or speak English very well. If you are going to have staff interacting with customers they need to understand what the customer is asking and be able to speak in english that is understandable. 2nd time here and this time we dined in. Came in around 4:30pm on a Thursday evening. We were immediately seated and waited about 10 minutes before a server came over and took our order. Excellent customer service!!! We ordered a half pepperoni and half cheese pizza. Absolutely delicious!!! We will be ordering take out for that. We also ordered the chicken Marsala, in which I personally thought needed more flavor. I feel really bad saying that, but that my truth. The dish wasn't savory. My first visit, lunch, was so delightful it was time to try dinner, this Tuesday night. Lucky for us, we were there during happy hour, which abounds with good-value deals. We split an appetizer of two meatballs, delicious meaty concoctions in bright marinara sauce and cheese, presented almost like a dessert topped with a fresh basil leaf. Then we each had delicate slices of eggplant filled with ricotta and served in lush vodka sauce. The warm roll twists, served with a cup of seasoned olive oil, were fresh and flavorful. Out of town... looking for something off the strip that was spectacular without the outrageous prices. FOUND IT! Food is fresh and fabulous! Service friendly, knowledgeable, and overall superior. You can tell all of the employees generally cared that we were happy with our food and overall experience. You can tell that they have many return/regulars which convinced me even more that this was a wonderful choice. Hubby had vodka sauce penne with meatball, I had Italia pizza and 1/2 order Italia salad.... Just goes to show that the best food isn't all on the strip or overpriced. More...

Beautiful, intimate Italian spot here in town! All this time I've driven by Trattoria Italia and never been inside until now. We made a reservation for 11/25/23 at 7:00pm. We got there about 10-15 minutes early, but because it wasn't all that busy, we were seated almost immediately. At the time of our visit, they had a live saxophone player that entertained us and everyone else throughout our dinner. Our waiter for the night was Isaac, who was prompt and had excellent customer service skills. First, we were given a complimentary basket of bread with olive oil on the side to start off with. Our appetizer was a side of fried mozzarella balls (6), which we shared with each other. These were probably one of the best mozzarella balls we've ever had at an Italian establishment. They were very crispy on the outside and very cheesy on the inside. Next, our entrees consisted of the following - Augie's Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp for me and Porcini Mushroom Risotto for my boyfriend. The fettuccine Alfredo was incredibly delicious and the shrimp added in really increased the flavor to it. My boyfriend commented on his risotto, saying that it was one of the best dishes he has ever had. He has never had risotto up until now, adding that it was worth trying. Lunch prices are NOT given for to-go orders. I was NOT told this until after ordering when i ordered in person. And they did not have to go cups, and instead had to put my tea in a soup bowel. I'll probably never go back. Total rip off. I came here a long time ago for dinner and enjoyed the service. This time it was very disappointing. Too bad. $50 for lunch for one person because I didn't eat inside the restaurant. No thanks. Rip off. I don't know if it's new owners or what but this place went downhill. We live in Henderson and finally decided to try this place. We ordered the Fried Mozarella Balls for our appetizer which was average. I ordered the special - Chilean sea bass over risotto and crab meat with caviar on top - the sea bass was delicious; risotto a little salty for me which may be due to the mixture of crabmeat; I wish there was a little more caviar on top. My sister ordered the Pappardelle Genova (pesto sauce and shrimp) - it was flavorful (a little too much flavor for me). Pasta was cooked perfect (al dente). My son requested a customized pasta as he only wants shrimp in red sauce - they made him spaghetti arrabbiata with shrimp which unfortunately did not look and taste good. We got the tiramisu for dessert which is a good portion. It was likewise average. Our server, Mark, was friendly, attentive and had good manners. He seemed knowledgeable of the menu. I like the option of being able to make online reservations. They seated us quickly. Lighting is adequate. Not noisy/loud (Thursday night). Nice location with lots of parking. We went here for an anniversary dinner, I was definitely expecting a little more. The cocktails were not great. But the scallops (server recommendation) were absolutely one of the best I've had.
