Trans-Pacific Design is a delight to work with. The staff is extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable, thorough, and quick to respond to question or design ideas. I worked closely with the team on a project that had a very specific target group for our sales effort had identified and they were spot on in delivering the designs and installations to match this group. You could walk into the Model Homes and know exactly who lived in the home. They stayed right on budget and actually brought in materials and ideas to try and come in below budget. The second project I worked with the team on was a high end amenity center. Again, there service and eye for detail was awesome. Our project was our new home. From the ground up, Sue & her team, Trans-Pacific Designs, worked with our architect & builder to realize our vision of our seaside home. We had specific ideas on how the house would look & feel & Sue was able to interpret those into a home that flows, not a jumble of disjointed rooms. She listened & then searched until she found just the solution that worked for the house & for us. Built-in furniture in living room & library, vanities in master, guest & powder room plus a lovely koa island in our kitchen were all designed & overseen by Sue in the construction phase. She was able to coordinate with painters, furniture makers & other related subcontractors. If problems arose, she & her team corrected them. If I wanted a certain light fixture or sofa she made it happen, even if it meant working with companies who do not normally ship to Hawaii. As an example of perseverance, my husband requested a recliner for watching television but the one we had picked was discontinued. Sue discovered that the company still had some frames for that chair & were willing to finish them for us. Above & beyond! TransPacific Designs won an award for our kitchen which is probably my favorite room. Glass tiles in greens & blues for the backsplash & swirling aqua colored stained inserts that she found for the cabinets brought the ocean right inside. A dream realized! More...

Helpful, supportive and resourceful, Sue Moss was a delight to work with! From fabric coordination, to furniture, she did a fantastic job on our open air oceanfront dining room. Always there to answer our questions and attentive to our needs from beginning to end! The dining room has been transformed to a tropical oceanfront gathering place that is filled with warmth and hospitality and is also quite functional, durable and easy to keep sparkling clean! Our project started by removing everything in the condo to the bare walls and floors. All communications on the project were done on the computer. Sue was instrumental in giving us interim progress reports through her emails and updates. Trans-Pacific did the drawings, specs and budget...and kept everything on target. We were concerned about time and distance but it was not a problem! She was on top of everything. Using Houzz helped her see our preferences and we used it for most of the furniture ideas. We would not try this without Sue and her staff as we were 2500 miles away during the whole remodel. More...

Although I hadn’t worked with Trans‐Pacific Designs previously, I knew Sue Moss casually, and we would occasionally cross paths at our local farmers market. I had heard good things about Sue and her firm, so when we needed to bring in an interior designer for a project here in town, I decided to give her a call. From the very beginning, I knew this was the right choice. Sue and the staff at Trans-Pacific Designs are the real deal.
