My experience (6 months now) with trainer Scott Harwood has been excellent. His vast knowledge of both nutrition and exercise is truly amazing; and his ability to personalize each session to the individual's unique fitness level, age, specific condition or limitations makes him a highly effective personal trainer! In three weeks time, working out with Scott for a 1/2 hour 2 times per week, I have more energy, feel stronger, and am sleeping more soundly. Can't say enough good things about Scott, this guy is the man! Every day the workouts are different, challenging, and fun! Truly a "full body workout". It is not your typical gym environment; everyone in the class is super nice, laid back, and incredibly supportive. It doesn't matter if you've never lifted a weight in your life or have been working out for years, Scott will always have you testing your limits. I have been working out for the past ten years, on and off, from high school, the Air Force, college and my own training at gyms in my place of residences. When I was thinking about joining a personal training/fitness gym I was skeptical. From the first day that I walked into Trainer Scott's boot-camp class my life and my physical training has been transformed 300%! I am in great shape, or at least I thought I was, and Scott's boot-camp and group fitness classes have amped me for getting to my fitness goal. Scott not only pushes you by knowing what you can do, even when you don't think you can do it, but also makes working out, be it hard and exhausting, an amazing and fun experience that you can't wait to do over and over again! My wife and I joined Scott’s Gym two months ago and absolutely love it. I’ve never had a personal training session or partaken in any boot camp class but there is absolutely no better way to getting into shape. The difference between lollygagging in the weight room on your own accord and having a professional trainer like Scott is night/day. Boot camp is a combination of plyometrics, weights, calisthenics, and aerobic exercises, all mixed into a 45 minute long session.

As for Scott, he is the man. He pushes you to your max every single time and provides you with words of encouragement when you’re running on empty, allowing you to push the envelope a little further each time. Originally, I was only intending on doing the 3-month boot camp, but after just two months with Scott I know that I’ll continue training with him for the foreseeable future! I would highly recommend Scott to anyone looking to get into shape.

Scott is awesome! His bootcamps are high impact and time efficient. I love that classes are really reasonably priced. No matter where you're at on the spectrum between ironman and couch potato, you can do it. Even though its a group class (not pretentious, people in class are great), there's still a lot of personal attention. One of the best parts is that Scott has great insight and recommendations for dealing with and working through injuries. I'm a runner and he helped me get my it band back in working order. Now I'm back to pain-free long runs on the trail and couldn't be more thrilled. Definitely check it out! More...

I've been training with Scott for over two years. I've done both the group personal training and boot camp workouts. The workouts are a mix of compound exercises and cardio to keep your body continually challenged and engaged. The class type setting keeps it fun and competitive and the people are really friendly. I've been to many gyms and fitness classes in Denver and I finally found one that I love! Scott's classes are fun, social and a great workout. He's encouraging, funny (don't tell him I said this) and knows his stuff.

All fitness levels are welcome and you go at your own pace. You get out what you put in - no matter how tired or pumped you're feeling that day.

I've only been taking the bootcamp classes for a month but I just bought a three-month package so I can keep up my 2-3 workouts/week into the new year.

I was a bit hesitant to start this boot camp at first but now I'm glad I did. You will definitely feel wiped after the class but that's what a good class supposed to do. Not to mention that nice "post-workout" burn you get the next day. The variety of exercises that you do each class will keep your body guessing so no two classes are alike.
At first I think the class can be intimidating to any newbie but once you have been there a few times, I promise you will enjoy it. Overall, it's a fun and effective way to get into shape. Definitely recommended to check it out.

My husband and I have been looking for personal training sessions and came across Scott's info as he was on the top five trainers in Denver. He literally spent an hour on our first call, I was really impressed as he took his time to explain the importance of diet, workout and strengthening your muscles. We are on our 10th session with him. It's been life changing to work out with Scott as he will keep you busy with individual workouts (designed for your body need) and his humor. I have serious back pain issues but since the workouts I see a big difference as how much my back is improving. Scott has been pretty great to train with. For starters, he will kick your butt....and you will love it. My first session I remember leaving and thinking "damn that was hard", but it was exactly what I needed. No two workouts have been the same, which is also fun. Scott is very friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever I have health/fitness questions I don't hesitate to ask and he gives me very in depth answers. While serving in the United States Marine Corps with Trainer Scott, he took me on as a personal test subject during the Summer of 2000. Within a mere 3 weeks his thorough strength training, diet, and lifestyle regimen brought me from 210 lbs. of average build to 225 lbs. of lean, mean muscle mass. In just a short time, the other Marines in our unit were shocked at my transformation, and my body and overall health improved even more from that point.Flash forward nearly 20 years... I am on a recent health kick in the Spring of 2018, and have decided to get back in shape, and I discovered something amazing. Scott’s training philosophy, methods, technique, and motivation are still fresh in my mind and are producing the same great results in practical application as they did all those years ago in the Corps. I was a 20-year “desk jockey” used to long hours at work and very little self-care. After not working-out in 4 years I was extremely nervous to jump into any exercise routine. When Scott Harwood’s small group personal training classes were recommended to me it seems like a great fit. When I reached out to Scott he immediately put me at ease. He listened to my concerns around my perceived physical limitations, understood where I was coming from and at every turn he challenged me to do better than the day before. I haven’t repeated a workout in the two months I’ve been going to class which helps keep boredom at bay. He saw what I was capable of and encouraged me to bust through the stale limitations I’ve been living with for years – and for that Scott, I thank you. I've never been into working out, but since I've gone to the group personal training class I'm really enjoying it. Scott makes you feel welcome from the first time and makes sure you know everyone. He thinks he's really funny so it makes the time go by fast. I like that I can go at my own pace but am still continually challenged and leave with a great workout. Definitely recommend if you're looking to get fit, join a workout community and occasionally hear a good joke or two. More...

I've done boot camps, personal training, and group training with Scott.  I must say my favorite is probably the boot camps because I enjoy the intensity (and Scott and I share a love of horrible pop 80's tunes) but they're all great!  I'm a teacher so my days are long and sometimes make it so I can't get in to workout.  However, Scott always texts me when he hasn't seen me for a few days,  which is awesome for someone who needs that accountability.  Also he laughs at my awful jokes (and I his) so that's nice- plus his dog is pretty neat too! I went to Scott after searching for a new personal trainer.  I work and travel allot so was looking for someone who can work with my schedule and  had the knowledge and attitude to drive me towards my goals.   ... a couple of months later... Scott is a great guy.  He makes your workout fun, ensures they you are blending multiple muscle groups in a single exercise and he is kicking my butt (in a good and safe way).  He also goes the extra mile.. checking up if I  am sore, working with me on my schedule and hounding me to get to the gym.  Exactly what I need.  However, there is more..I told you I went to him for personal training.  i have never done group classes because I am intimidated by the bootcamp aspect and felt that I would never get the personal attention (and workout) in a group setting.  Scott proved me wrong on this.  Now, I attend group fitness (small group setting where Scott manages to combine group exercises with personal workout for you..  I do this a couple of times a week and also maintain my personal training once a week.  This approach worked for me both I am starting to see my body change and the combination is friendly on the pocket book.Now, still have not attended the bootcamp led by Scott.. maybe one day!  Scott, keep up the great work. I purchased a Groupon which brought me to Trainer Scott, I think it was $59 for a month.Scott is great, he's really enthusiastic and he knows how to empower and motivate people to work out as hard as they can. The classes are pretty small around 20 people and they are INTENSE, but in a good way where you want to go back. Each day is different and you can go at your own pace. I'm not an avid gym goer and I'm not really into fitness but there would be days where I would wonder where the heck the time went because the classes go by so fast (in a good way). I'm someone who needs guidance and help and someone to kick my butt into gear. I recommend Scott's training to anyone looking to get into shape. More...

I needed motivation to stick with a workout routine and Scott and all the participants make this class so rewarding and addictive. It doesn't matter where you are at physically, this class will work for you if you put the effort into it.I'm over 40 and out of shape, and I can honestly say that I look forward to each class. I have been working with Scott for almost a year. In the first 6 months, I lost 25 lbs and have since gained muscle and endurance. Scott has an amazing ability to judge where a person is at, mentally and physically, and gives them a workout that is unique to them and very challenging, but not overwhelming or discouraging. I started Scott's Denver Boot Camp back in December 2012 and it has been nothing but progress ever since. I was a little nervous when I first made the commitment to change the way I was taking care of my body and mind, but Scott was a helping hand since the word "GO. " I remember my first Boot Camp, where all the blood rushed to my face and I started seeing stars, and I decided leaning against the wall was going to be the best decision I made all day. Later on, Scott texted me and asked how I was doing. I knew from that point on that I wanted to work out with someone who cared, but was still going to push me. The classes were a lot of fun with the people and the change in routine every time. Scott is great at mixing together cardio, strength training, endurance, you name it. I have since moved on from Boot Camp into his Small Group classes. I needed to take myself to the next level, not only by pushing myself, but having someone there to help along the way. If you're the type of person that gets bored at the gym and needs motivation, this is the place to go.When I came to Scott's class, I was really nervous because I hadn't worked out in a long time.  When I say I hadn't worked out in a long time, I mean I completely lost my motivation months before I moved to Denver.  I had been eating out twice as much and drinking twice as much due to a slew of good-bye lunches and dinners.  I knew that when I got to Denver, I needed to find a boot camp to get my butt in gear.  Scott's looked just right and once a Groupon came along, I decided to just bite the bullet and do it.  I'm so glad that I did.  His classes are intense but you feel great after and definitely want to come back.  Everyone is really nice and supportive of each other and he constantly tells you to just do your best and not get down on yourself for feeling if you get tired.In addition, it's reasonably priced.  I feel like boot camps usually cost an arm and a leg and you HAVE to come on the designated days.  At Scott's, he has a class every day except for Friday and Sunday and you can come as often as you want!I highly recommend Scott's Denver Boot Camp! When I was looking for an exercise class a couple months ago I found Scott's boot camp and I'm so glad I did! Held outdoors at Wash Park (or Scott's gym), this boot camp is more than an aerobics class. The varied exercises and small group size keep you motivated. At first I was concerned about keeping up in such a small group setting because I hadn't been exercising regularly. I needn't have worried! Scott provides a positive environment whether starting out or having exercised for years.You just have to keep going. This is a straightforward intense hour that will not disappoint! Started personal training with Scott in 2011 & then transitioned into group training in 2012.  I needed to whip my AR a$$ back into good ole southern a$$ kickin' shape & Scott got me back to as my grandmother used to say "you feel like a brick wall my dear".  Scott keeps you hopping from one thing to next, your heart rate pumping, & before you know it you've muscled through an hour of intense training.  Don't even think about missing gym because Scott will be texting and/or calling you telling you to get back to the gym. It has been over three years since I started going to Scott's gym.  In that time, I have attended his personal training, group training, and boot camp classes.  All these class styles offer many benefits; I have personally seen improvements in strength, endurance, and agility, but in all my time at the gym, the improvement I am most proud of is a change in attitude.  Four years ago, I would have never thought I would enjoy working out consistently, let alone join a group training class.  At that time, I was occasionally going to a normal gym and sticking to basic exercises thinking that was enough to offset the sedentary lifestyle of a person working in the corporate world.  A good friend convinced me to attend Scott's boot camp one day and that was the day I realized that not only was I not pushing myself hard enough, but also I had been underestimating the value of working out and the benefits it could bring to my life.  The first day was tough and it made me realize just how out of shape I really was. Luckily, I found that the class was in itself the best support system.  You meet all sorts of different people who all want to enjoy the workout and lead healthy lives.  The positive atmosphere I felt starting that first day is one of the reasons I decided to stick around and luckily, with five boot camp classes offered each week, going after work is not a problem.  Through many push-ups, pull-ups, planks, towel drags, and burpees I have achieved more than I ever thought possible.  I have made many friends at the gym who motivate me and challenge me, especially Scott, who has been with me every step of the way encouraging me through mental and physical plateaus.  Now, I see these classes as an essential part of my day and even look forward to the "eight-count body builder" birthday challenge (something you have to be there to enjoy). I have been attending Scott's Bootcamp for just over a month now, it is a great workout and keeps you motivated to keep going back. Scott and everyone that attends classes are all awesome the joking and the overall atmosphere makes the hour seem to go by quickly and you get a great workout in.
