I reached out to Total Tax, Inc in April 2021 to assist me with a long overdue tax matter. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made. Total Tax Inc. exceeded all my expectations and provided exemplary service from the initial phone call until my case was closed this month, November 2022. PROS • The Total Tax Inc. contract was easy to read and understand. While this may not sound like a big deal, it is! Clarity and transparency speak to integrity. • The cost of service was both reasonable and affordable. They even offer payment plans if you cannot afford to pay the full amount upfront. • There was no bait and switch or fine print I missed. The amount Total Tax Inc quoted in my contract is the exact amount I paid. Additional fees, if any, were for additional services. Wow! That's refreshing. • A team of people were assigned to my case, each handling a certain aspect, all the while creating a system of checks and balances that ensured every "i" was dotted and "t" crossed. • Communication was exceptional! Someone always answered the phone if I called during business hours. That's pretty rare these days. All of my questions were answered in a timely fashion. More importantly, Total Tax Inc kept me informed on the status of my case every step of the way. I never had to call and ask for an update. • No judgment, just solutions! I was treated with dignity and respect by every person who worked on my case. Every member of the team was experienced, professional, compassionate, and results-oriented. • My Total Tax Case Manager, Mark W., is a tax god who deserves a special shout out! I can't say enough good things about him. There's simply not enough superlatives. He made me feel as if I were his only client and worked tirelessly on my behalf. These guys totally saved my life. My daughter is getting married in Europe and the IRS was holding up my passport. They immediately got to work and got it released for me. We came to Total Tax and Mark Walstrom with an aged IRS tax debt that was fairly large. We were distraught and very concerned over the issue.
Mark and his team at Total Tax were amazing. First, they helped us understand the issues we faced and worked diligently to assist us and put are worries at ease.
They worked with us closely and represented us through the IRS which was just to difficult for us. They prevented liens and proposed solutions that made it easy for us to reconcile the debt and they provided great resolution that saved us thousands of dollars.

My tax situation changed in 2020, so I decided to use Total Tax due word of mouth on their great reputation in the community - "buy local".Dealing with ***** in the tax prep process was amazing: - she found some issues where my new wife had been filing incorrectly for approximately 15 years before we got married; we also amended her last 3 years to the tune of an approx $10,000 "new" refund.- I had just left a company and ***** was able to provide information to help me better decide how to handle the 401k balance of the company I just left from.- I started a consulting company and ***** was able to provide information on how to best handle that income and withholdings.The icing on the cake: it cost me LESS money to have a local tax professional prepare my returns (with very quick turn around times) than it did to do the taxes myself through an "online" tax service with very little support!I could not be happier with Total Tax.
