Took over 15 minutes to get a waitress. 5 more minutes to get our drinks. After 45 minutes... We still haven't seen our waitress. We haven't even ordered our appetizers yet. That's it. We start leaving... Now you come over and want to take our order??? NO... Be grateful I even paid for the drinks. Not even a sorry. More...

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is not the place to go for a good meal or great service. Our waitress had absolutely no idea what she was doing. The food that my wife ordered was never placed and made at all. What I ordered is not what I received and my son's food was completely tasteless and flavorless. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and 90 minutes of it was waiting for our food. 90 minutes for half our food not even brought to us and what food was brought to us... WAS NOT EVEN WHAT WE ORDERED! I almost felt like not even paying for anything and walking out of there since we didn't receive anything we ordered. But... my wife insisted that I pay which I regret even doing. More...

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. After reading such great reviews about this place I thought it would be nice to bring my friends here tonight. The service here was downright horrible. It took at least 15 minutes to get served and our drinks. After just sitting there for over another 35 minutes we finally decided to just leave. A waitress never even came by to take our order yet. After we had our coats on and were leaving someone decides to come over and ask if we were ready to order. WHAT??? Getting up and walking out after 50 minutes is what it takes to get a waitress and your order taken here. I feel so bad taking our friends here tonight. Never again will I return here.

Also... I watched, after being here for over 50 minutes, not 1 of the other tables of people had food in there yet. The 5 other tables of people were already in there before us. Take note, we got there at 6 PM and left at 6:50 PM with just being served drinks and our order not even taken yet. If we had stayed, we would probably would still be in there waiting and it's now 8:30 PM. We went next door to Asian Harbor at 6:50 PM, sat down, ordered, ate and were done by 8:00 PM. Literally the same amount of time it took here just for a waitress to ask to take our order.

The food was amazing!! A little hot, so you have to like spicy. Definitely try the coconut mojito, the street corn and the pomegranate guacamole. Cute place for Lockport!! I will visit again! More...

A very unique dining experience. Stylish Mexican/Asian decor is combined in a stunning way. The moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. Elsa was our server and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She was very helpful when we were making our food choices. The food is delicious and presentation is beautiful. The homemade Ceviche was some of the best I’ve had, even when visiting Mexico! My husband particularly enjoyed the lamb dish with ramen noodles. A little bit of a kick which he loved. I had the steak tacos. Meat was tender and oh so good with the white sauce served on the side. We will be frequenting this new restaurant! Looking forward to dining on the Asian rolls next time. El Torro is a great addition to the south side and a real gem in Lockport! More...

Torro is fairly new to Lockport and has gone thru a soft opening for the last couple of months. The food is exceptional and is priced accordingly for the type of restaurant it is. The sushi is by far the best outside of downtown Chicago, and is worth trying if you enjoy fresh sushi. The barista loves putting a twist on cocktails, and I haven't had a bad drink yet (try the Guava Martini that isn't on the menu yet!) Overall, if you enjoy good food, good service, and great cocktails... then this place should be on your radar. Yes, they might seem pricey to the average joe, but being from the city I find the prices reasonable. I honestly hope this place is successful, as I think it's a gem in the neighborhood. More...

Our new favorite restaurant in Lockport. Food is worth the price. We couldn’t decide what we wanted so we tried a lot, from the ahi tuna tostadas, Mexican street corn (OMG SO GOOD! ), and spicy tuna roll as an appetizer to the birria tacos and sea bass, everything was delicious - their chef is on point! Also, can’t go without mentioning the top notch atmosphere/decor, cocktails, and service. We will be back and can’t wait to try the rest of the menu, we’ve been waiting for a place like this to open in Lockport for a long time and it exceeded expectations. More...

Another great experience! The food is outstanding and the owners Elsa and Roy are very inviting and accommodating. Pomegranate guac and chips, salmon avocado rolls and veggie rolls. Custom brewed Nik & Ivy Torro Loco beer is a great addition to the menu. Everything was delicious and can’t wait to come back. More...

I wish I could give a great review. This was supposed to be my wife’s birthday dinner. She was so extremely excited to go because she loves Mexican and Asian food. We went as a family with our 2 year old and 6 month old. With the way staffing shortages go, we know places are short staffed. When we came in, they had a nice atmosphere. They took us to our booth, which was all the way in the back - where there was nobody else seated. We waited more than 10 minutes for someone to finally ask what we would like to order. They didn’t even ask what we wanted to order for our 2 year old, didn’t offer her a disposable cup. My wife ordered her some chips. While waiting for our food, another server came up and asked if we had placed our order. We first received our Edamame. Then the chips came, doused in lime and some red seasoning - not kid friendly. Then came my sushi and then my wife’s noodles. My sushi was bland. My wife enjoyed her noodles. They completely forgot my wife’s street corn. My wife had to ask the server for more water. When the check came, the server realized I didn’t get my corn. Over 10 minutes later, she finally came with the revised check. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. More...

I was super excited to try a local restaurant, however my expectations were not met. It is overpriced for the quaint meal served. For starters, the appetizer ordered, guacamole, was nothing more than a side of guacamole for almost $20. There was not enough guac to accompany the chips served. The entrees do not come with sides, as they should for $20+. The service was disappointing as it took almost 10 minutes on a Thursday where there were 5 tables to be greeted. Hopefully these are simply growing pains and will be worked out. More...

Loved this restaurant. The owner Roy was very welcoming, the service was quick and efficient, and honestly was some of the best sushi we have ever had. Thank you to Elsa who could not of been any nicer and made sure everybody was satisfied and enjoyed their evening to the fullest. 5 out of 5 stars in our book. Can’t wait to go back🤗🤗🤗 More...

Food prices are incredibly expensive. $20 for 5 small shrimp cocktail. Wife liked the Birria tacos but everything else we ordered was meh.

Food tasted good but too expensive with very small portions. Menu not very kid friendly. Bill was over $120 for just appetizer, Ramen entre, carne asada entre (was not 10oz as stated on menu), and fountain drinks. If you are looking for more bang for your buck, this is not the place. More...

Oh My God! Yes a rare post for me. Food is food and places are “Okay” Well the food tonight was not only food but freaking amazing! Had the Birria Ramen with Lamb that wasn’t only freaking amazing but out of this world! The staff is super friendly and attentive without being over board. They are all as welcoming as the owner, who stopped by our table to say hi. I do need to note how incredible the decor is as well especially for anyone knows the former life of this place. More...
