I am an in home traveling trainer who works her clients out in the comfort of their own homes. I bring all of the equipment necessary and give my clients a better-than-gym workout.
I am an older trainer…older than most. I specialize in baby boomers, Gen x-ers, clients who might have special limitations, and anyone who regards health as their number one priority rather than gaining six pack abs.

Lisa is very intuned to strengthening and building muscle that either hasn’t been used regularly or has with age,lacking the tone it once had. She’s very methodical and professional in her approach and is very personable.Highly recommended. More...

Personal Trainers

Lisa is friendly and knowledgeable about my needs for strengthening all my muscle groups. She encourages me to work hard and her directions are clear so I’m able to progress from being stiff and weak to being less so.
She’s never impatient or critical, but points out when I can improve my form by doing something slightly different. I so appreciate her knowledge and experience mixed with kindness.
I like her way of focusing on making progress with each exercise, but never so much that I’m sore afterwards. I look forward to her coming and think she would be a wonderful person for anyone wanting to increase flexibility and strength.

During my time working with Lisa of Tone Your Tushy, I never looked better! This is saying A LOT too, because I was always athletic and considers myself to be in decent shape. This also was AFTER having carried a 10 lb baby and two more back-to-back pregnancies! Lisa makes you feel at ease with her amazing sense of humor and honestly I also saved money on needing a therapist (lol) because she just was wonderful to talk with and gives great advice. I’ve been working out with Lisa nearly 5 years. I began in my 70’s because I was losing strength. Training with Lisa has given me better strength, balance and endurance. I can now do sit-ups and get up from a prone position with using my knees for support. I highly recommend Lisa! More...

Working out with Lisa has done great things for me. The exercises she selects for me are perfectly tailored to my own situation, not just some cookie-list. Her fees are very reasonable and well worth it. I used to tell myself that I didn’t heed a trainer because I could get in shape on my own. I was so wrong. I do a lot of bodyweight training along with dumbbells. I ascertain my clients boundaries and/or limitations during an initial complimentary consultation. Together, we discuss how to attain and maintain goals. I believe that exercise should be fun and I do my best to make it so.

The secret to getting the body of your dreams is to be realistic with that dream. Focus more on loving the body you have. For instance, my ‘dream body’ would be an inch and a half taller than I am now, and my measurements would be perfectly proportionate….and oh! I’d be twenty years younger, but we know that’s not gonna happen, so I make the best darn body out of what I have.
We might choose to be thinner, heavier, or more or less muscular than we are. The point is, we all should love the bodies we have, BUT we should make ourselves the best we can be.

I’ve been a trainer for over 40 years. I love helping my clients to feel and look better. I love seeing them grow stronger and more confident in who they are. I love being a part of their successes and helping them reach them. I love my job and the clients I work with.

I worked at gyms for decades. The pressure put on clients to sign up with their trainers was not making me very happy. Plus, the older I got the less I wanted to deal with the gym scene, so I decided to start training clients in their own homes. It’s the quintessential use of the term ‘personal’ training. The best of the gym comes to the comfort of your own home. No harsh music, no waiting in line for machines, no lunkheads….just you, me ( maybe your dog) and your individualized workout.

To be fair, some clients shouldn’t choose me. I am 70 years old and some people want younger trainers. I fit into my own niche and attract many ‘mature’ clients. Any client who is looking to place their health as their number one priority is the client who should work with me. I leave the six pack ab clientele to the younger trainers. Health, strength, mobility, stamina and confidence are what I offer. The six pack is the icing on the proverbial cake. Health is the cake itself.

I can only provide remote training for a client who I have worked out with, in person, for quite a while. Form, in exercise, is everything. I can’t assess a person’s form online. Many other trainers do, but I choose to be right there with my client.
