Came into Toast while the wife was getting her nails done down the block. Had a couple mimosas at the bar with the cute bartender Courtney, I'm pretty sure that's what she said her name was. Mimosas were good, pretty hard to mess up champagne and OJ. Did not have time for food but Courtney knew the menu and made some suggestions if I was going to order anything. I can see why the bar was busy. She's entertaining and engaging with everyone at the bar while she kept up with the servers drinks coming in as well. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Christmas and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I'll be back again for sure, a good bartender that keeps the conversation going is hard to find. More...

The atmosphere is great, there are 3 separate seating areas, including a bar and an outdoor area. It's decorated warmly and the staff was attentive. I gave 4 stars because the entrees were already cold when they were set on our table and my eggs, which were ordered over easy, were prepared sunny side up, and were slimy with uncooked egg whites. The toast too, was cold and everyone knows, cold toast does not melt butter and is tough. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 3 was the grits, which were still warm enough inside to be appetizing, the home fries my husband ordered were delicious and our waitress was great. Could've been the cook was having an off day or they were short-staffed, however, whatever the reason, a restaurant charging $11 for a plate of eggs, bacon & grits should, at the very least, make sure the food is served warm. Upon entering Toast, we were immediately greeted by the welcoming hostess then seated. James came to the table quickly and took our drink orders. The appetizers came out quickly and were fresh and hot. The shrimp and grit cake app was DELICIOUS ! The serving size was huge. We shared and was starting to regret ordering entrees because of the serving size of appetizers. Also the appetizers are $5 after 5pm. What a steal?!? The orange glazed bourbon salmon was also AMAZING! We always visit Toast and the food never disappoints. What impressed us the most was the EXCEPTIONAL customer service received from James. He was timely with checking on us. Our glasses stayed full and smiles stayed big. Moreover, he was very knowledgeable about the menu, the restaurant, the specials, and everything. Had an amazing experience . We felt welcomed. The Amazing manager was very kind and brought my daughter a cupcake to eat. cant find places like this no more . Manager was amazing and friendly. The server Shawn was very knowledgeable and recommended what we should try and was no disappointed.
