What kind of accounting services do you provide?
I provide 2 main service packages: Core Bookkeeping Services and Additional Bookkeeping Services.
Core Bookkeeping Services consists of the following done on a monthly basis:
-- bank reconciliation, which includes categorizing transactions
-- produce the 3 main financial reports that describe the health of your business: Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows
-- schedule a monthly meeting to review these reports with you
-- provide unlimited email support for your bookkeeping questions
-- provide annual reports for your tax accountant
-- if needed, I can help set you up with a QuickBooks subscription.
Additional Bookkeeping Services consists of the following:
-- Account Clean-up: This is a one-time service and fee. This service is done so that your business’s books comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and improve the quality of the financial statements so you can have a clear indication of your business’s health.
-- Account Catch-up: This is a one-time service and fee that is for books that are behind on bank reconciliation. This service will get your books up-to-date for the current fiscal year.
-- produce Custom Financial Statements/Reports: This is an upon request production of reports other than the 3 standard financial statements given each month. These reports can also be added to the monthly review process.
-- Accounts Receivable (A/R) service: a monthly service where I prepare and manage invoices to your customers. I can also apply credits and refunds that you approve to customer’s accounts.
-- Accounts Payable: a monthly service where I prepare and manage bills to your vendors. Only you can sign the checks. I can also apply credits and refunds that your vendors approve.
-- Training: This is an upon request service that will provide training for Quickbooks Online to you so that you can keep tabs on your business’s finances and record the appropriate information.
-- Additional consulting: This is an upon request service for additional consulting outside or in addition to the regularly scheduled monthly review meeting.
-- 1099 e-filing Service: annual service using Quickbooks Online and Tax1099.com to prepare 1099s for your contractors and vendors.

The most important reason for outsourcing your bookkeeping requirements and needs is to allow you to spend more of your precocious time serving your customers and growing your business. Even small business owners with accounting knowledge will find that the time that they spend on DIY bookkeeping is time better spent growing their business.

What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy helping business owners regain control of their books and use them to help them make sound decisions about the future of their business.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After 25+ years working in the insurance and financial services industries as a mainframe programmer/analyst, I discovered that bookkeeping and computer programming share many important aspects, chiefly pay attention to details and know where information is coming from and where it is going. After COVID, I wanted to start my own business and bookkeeping was a lateral move for me from programming.

I believe in a mutual relationship with my clients and that is why I offer unlimited email support for my clients' bookkeeping questions. It is better to nip a problem in the bud than to let it fester and cause other problems.

Yes, I am a virtual bookkeeper so can provide bookkeeping services remotely or via online.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
By working remotely, I can use Zoom, E-mail and telephone conferencing to stay in contact with my clients.
