My name is Monica Dietz, and I am a professional educator. A teacher as well as a tutor, I have the advantage of access to the most up-to-date methods for teaching K-12 students. What do you love most about your job?
I love to help students succeed, so I am excited to see their academic growth. It is fulfilling to know that my support can have a meaningful impact on a student.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been tutoring for more than 15 years. After leaving the public school classroom to devote more time to assisting students individually, I felt that it was a good time to try making tutoring my own business. I find that the methods I use in tutoring aid students in gaining measurable results and supports their lifelong learning goals. I enjoy having more control over my schedule and spending my time doing what I like best.

Yes, I provide online tutoring using the Zoom platform. If you prefer another platform, I am able to accommodate GoTo Meeting and Cisco Webex.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I wear a mask and use social distancing to minimize contact and the possibility of exposure. I am vaccinated, but I also feel it is best to still take these precautions.
Writing Tuition K-12
One-on-one virtual or in-person tutoring (in Michigan only) to assist with beginning writing skills to high school essay writing. I use custom resources and teach to your skills, talents, and strengths.
College Writing Tuition
For students seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees, I can coach you on drafting, revising, editing, proofreading an essay. I will incorporate teaching of essay structure and organization, as well as grammar.
French Tutoring
I can assist with high school French, levels I, II, and III. I am well-versed in teaching reading, writing, speaking, and listening in French, and I base my teaching on OPI standards and World Language Instructional Standards.
Reading
I can help students understand reading passages in all subject areas, and in various types of reading selections, including: literature, non-fiction, scientific, and social science passages.
