I visited this salon a few days ago, was seen by G...she did an AMAZING job!! She colored my hair (covered my wisdom strands as I call them! !), cut a good bit off (I wanted a shorter hairstyle), & blow-dried my hair!! From the beginning, she was very courteous-made me feel welcome & didn't make me feel embarrassed at all. Her manner was awesome, I was quiet, but eventually warmed up to her (it's a ME thing, not HER!! ;-) ) Already made my next appointment w/ her, have been looking for a stylist in the area & have found one in her!! I'm beyond impressed with this place, and specifically Gisella. I've done a number on my hair from dying it myself over the last few years, and she's brought it back to life. More importantly she wasn't judgemental about it at all. I've been to many stylist who are less than thrilled about my self-dyed hair, and have no issues showing it. Not Gisella! She's very warm and welcoming, and I just love her. I've seen her three times- once for a complete overhaul, which included a blonde balayage and a lot of length being cut off from the damage I caused; and twice for root touch ups. I went to Theory today as a walk in, unsure of exactly what I wanted but needing a cut. Enter Brittany. She was incredibly attentive and listened to my ideas without being condescending (I've had that a time or two with stylists). She made a few suggestions and worked with me to come up with the perfect cut. I won't be going anywhere else from here on out. She did an amazing job and I absolutely love my new style. I hadn't gotten my haircut in over a year, so I was in need of a great stylist which is exactly what I got. She noticed my hair was dry and recommended a deep conditioning treatment (at a discounted rate) which was amazing. I will be back!

I was lucky to have stumbled back upon the salon! I had an appointment with my typical-not this- salon on a Friday but unfortunately the lady had to cancel. I did not have a back up stylist, all the other ones I had tried at that salon (I.e., not this one) I don't really care for. I did a little research on other Aveda based salons, in the north Austin area. I called a few and they all required a consultation then schedule a second appointment (I was on a time crunch because I needed my hair done for the next week). I then called Theory and asked if they had anyone available for a partial balayage (I understand, not an easy process for stylists)... they did! I was super nervous because I'm kind of picky but decided to give it a shot since I needed it done! The lady, Brittney, asked me for picture prior so she could estimate the time it would take to do my hair. When I arrived at Theory she was so nice and made me feel at ease about the whole process. She didn't question herself and was really confident in being able to make my hair look like the picture. She did not ask me a million questions, as if I know what the process is to make my hair look like the picture. I was so relieved, since I know nothing about how to get my hair to look like the picture I showed her. She was so knowledgeable in color! She did not push products on me upon leaving. Steph did my hair for my wedding day and she did a great job. I needed a trim for my split ends and for my bangs to be styled. She did a great job. I suffer from postpartum hair loss so I needed a major confidence boost which she was able to provide. I was instantly greeted as I walked in. All the ladies seemed to be nice and professional. I've been going to Theory for a few years now and I've always had a great experience. Most recently I went in for a cut and color with Mariah Gardner and she did an amazing job with both! This was the first time going with a vivid pink so I had a lot of questions about the process and upkeep and Mariah was incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions and did an awesome job! Danielle was amazing. I walked out of the Salon feeling beautiful! She hand painted my hair color. She took 5 and a 1/2 hours to perfect the vision that I had. I had an extremely satisfying hair coloring service here. Mariah was my stylist and she was very helpful throughout the experience. She helped me choose the right color and made all the right recommendations. Everyone at the salon were welcoming. Where do I begin! I walked in the salon with extremely damaged bleached hair and desperately needed a lot cut off. Mariah was the amazing stylist that took me in and did a wonderful job. From making me fell welcomed to holding great conversation, and of course did great on the cut. It'll like my hair was never damaged. I had the best time here!! I asked for a trim and color to match my natural hair since I was once a blonde and the color was coming back. Mariah did amazing and left me feeling so happy! I’ve been coming to Theory Hair Salon for about 4 years. I’ve had cuts and colours with most of the stylists here and they’ve all been great. I’ve had my hair at varying lengths and styles and they always make it look good. They all listen to what you want and work hard to make sure you’re happy. I now bring my kids here to get their hair done and they’re always exited about it. Danelle cuts designs into their undercuts which makes them very happy. Danelle and Cecilia have both dyed my dark hair to platinum blonde multiple times and it always comes out looking great. Danelle has even managed to tone out residual blues and greens from previous dyes to get me to the pale blonde I like. I would definitely recommend them for any of your hair needs. More...

My usual Hairstylist is Cecilia, She is phenomenal, I consistently get compliments on my hair, and the entire staff is professional, courteous, & friendly. Good vibes all around. Danielle did an awesome job of giving me highlights! My hair required 2 colors as I'm starting to go, ummm, gray, and trying to keep it a secret.   lol. This was my first haircut at Theory. I saw Teresita and she was so helpful. Talked me out of something that I probably couldn't have worked with on my own and into something more appropriate, based on all the likes and dislikes I told her about my hair.
