Theory & Color is the one-man-band design studio of Charlie James Cote.
Charlie is a multi-displinary artist who came to working in design by way of the theatre and film industry. Graduating from Columbia College Chicago in 2015, Charlie worked in a plethora of design roles before making the leap to full-time freelancing in 2020 (what a year to do that, huh? )
A lifelong writer and theatre maker, Charlie's work happily bridges the gap between story and design, language and visuals. A lot of retro and a little rock 'n' roll, Theory & Color is old school design for modern times.
Charlie is currently based in his native Atlanta, GA and is available for branding and merch design, with a particular focus on label design and illustration.
