My husband and I chose this venue for our anniversary. I read some of the reviews and should have reconsidered my choice. The atmosphere was nice . There was a couple seated next to us that arrived after us. The waitress was very attentive to them. They had water, drinks, and their order placed before anyone approached us. All these folks must be too needy. This is the best in Pocatello. On Monday's they have mulled wine. Lily is our fav server. The food is great. The worst food! This was our second time at the Yellowstone (only because we had a gift card). The lunch menu is limited, which is fine. The first lunch we had I ordered a Caesar salad with steak. The steak was inedible - so chewy & tough, I couldn't swallow it. The lettuce itself was extremely woody, and again I couldn't swallow it. The atmosphere & service are very nice with an extensive drink menu, but if you want food - go somewhere else. Today I had the worst burger ever! The Yellowstone burger should be called the rubber burger. Yuck! My husband ordered the chicken carbonara, which was horrible! Barely any bacon & the watered-down Alfredo sauce had no taste. Slowest service I have ever had. Our party of 9 ended up being there for 2 1/2 hours. We had to go and find people to get served. Decided to try this place out and I severely regret it. The beer-cheese for the pretzels has absolutely no flavor and is uniquely boring. They also ran out if the artichoke dip that ordered, which isn't the issue, the issue is no one called to ask for a substitute like even a restaurant like Pizza Hut would do, and when I picked up the order I was not informed of the substitute and had to find out when I got home. I was underwhelmed. We went for their Valentine's Day dinner. I asked if we could sit by the window, the host asked his manager and they said no. No biggy, but not five minutes later they gave the window seat to someone else. Same amount of people as us, same amount of people nearby..I asked for a well done steak, got medium rare. Improve the quality of food and reevaluate your choice of waitstaff. We had a terrible experience on Valentines day. The food had very little flavor and the crème Brule was cold and completely runny. When we let the waiter know this, he said "ya, ok" and walked off, no apology or offer to fix this. We constantly had to swap plates which each other as EVERY course was delivered to the wrong person (there were 4 of us). After the 3rd time our waiter laughed and said "it's funny now, right‽", it wasn't. We were then charged $140.00 for the mediocre food and terrible service (included 3 drinks, which were actually pretty good). I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Mediocre food, bad service and expensive for what you got.We went (2 couples) for valentine's dinner; the food was mediocre at best ; the service was very bad and expensive for the area. They had a limited valentine's menu which is fine, but you would think with a small menu they would have more time to better prepare better food. The shrimp pasta had no flavor and the crème Brule was cold, runny and not set at all. I told the waiter and he only laughed, said "ya ok" and walked away. He never apologized or offered to fix it. Every time a course came out, each of us was given the wrong plate and had to pass them amongst ourselves so we could get what we actually ordered. After this happened for the third time, the waiter just laughed and said, "it's funny now, right?"; at that point, it wasn't. When we walked by at 7:00 pm we thought they were closed because there was no one there. That should have been our first clue. We ordered water and they brought us lukewarm tap water. Why would you not put ice in it? Maybe so people will want to buy a more expensive drink....with ice.?Our order took a long time to get there. My $31 steak was over cooked and tough.The waitress was really nice about it and had them cook another one. After a long time she brought it out and it was at least pink. So, I'm glad The Yellowstone is trying to do something good in downtown Pocatello, HOWEVER, I can hardly even believe the level of apathy, lack of training and unfortunately horrible food put out by this restaurant. We came to try brunch, the coffee took 20 minutes to finally come to the table, it was Luke warm and bitter. My husband ordered pancakes and bacon. The bacon was old and cold! Passing through town hauling cattle. Wanted a nice sit down meal since we didn't have the kids with us. Tried this restaurant based on yelp reviews. It's in serious need of an interior designer. It is cleanish but some crumbs on the not professionally reupholstered chairs covered in loose fabric? We were disappointed none of the staff was wearing face masks since we are in the middle of a pandemic. Our server was very nice and told us he was new there, we joked and said it was our first time there too so we were all in good company. He brought us our waters. And we looked over the menu. We each ordered a side salad (not on the menu we just asked for it) the flat iron steaks. They come with roasted potatoes, some sauce thing on the steak, veggies and super slaw??1) steak was good quality and cooked how we wanted. (We know good steak #ranchers#beef producers) The sauce on top was nice and tasty. It was a TINY STEAK. 2) potatoes good3) super weird shredded veggies with lost of oil on them. Stop shredding them just put normal veggies on there would have made meal 10x better. 4) super slaw is super nasty. Seriously just don't put that on there . In our opinion a place trying to be "fancy" should sever bread with some butter or oil or something. And maybe consider having a dessert menu!!!!? This place has absolutely awful customer service. The instructions when ordering online are to call when you arive and they will bring it ouside. I have called at least 10 plus times, no one can bother to awnser the phone. I'm still waiting outside. per the instruction on their website! 40 plus minutes of waiting! When someone finally bothered to awnsered the phone they were very indignant and rude! I'm sorry I bothered you by following the instructions and calling. It is hard to describe the dining gathering. I was part of Deaf/hearing group that came on 12-31-19. While we were in town filming America's Top Buyer Roadshow, we had dinner with Jennifer and Rory. Such a phenomenal atmosphere to go right along with absolutely amazing cuisine. I love how they have the different rooms that caters toward everyone no matter what your taste is...from the Union Tap Room to the 313 Whiskey Room and of course the Yellowstone Restaurant. People can't get enough of our Prime Rib weekend special, our ribeye, and our salmon. We are GF friendly and have options for our vegetarian dishes. They also love our buttercake!

We have four different spaces within our building that are available for private rental/private events with catering menus created with the client to ensure their event is perfect for them and their guests.
off-site catering
We provide off-site catering to Pocatello, Chubbuck and surrounding communities with guest counts anywhere from 15-100+. We're able to provide simple to fine dining experiences and can provide alcohol with a 2-week lead. Our catering events include corporate events, weddings, family reunions, graduation parties and more.
