I was not looking forward to a group dinner at the Yellow Chilli because I am not a huge fan of some of the Indian food in California so I was VERY pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Â Everything was excellent. Â Our group ordered mild spicy for most of the dishes, but we could have had much more spicy if the group wanted. Â The food had that perfect warm rich depth that you get with excellent Indian food. Â There was a good assortment of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Â I'm sorry that I don't remember the names of any dishes to recommend but there were two appetizers that stood out: Â one was a very tender garlicky chicken (?soft chicken or something like that) and the other was something that looked like tofu and green peppers but was was really some kind of Indian cheese. Â And the nan was perfect. Â I noticed that the manager kept an eye on our table several times to make sure all was going well. We went there today for the Sunday buffet lunch. The dining area is beautiful, parking quite easy. The service was friendly and quick. There is a salad and appetizer bar, well stocked with tasty salads, chutneys and a few types of delicious drinks like lassi and juices. The Gobhi (cauliflower) Manchurian was outstanding and chilli chicken was good too (just not spicy enough for my Indian palate). The samosa was outstanding too - not greasy and the cover was very tasty in addition to the filling.Noteworthy in main course were daal tadka and Kolhapuri chicken. Dishes that were not so great were the soups (tomato soup was too sweet and the monchow wasn't as spicy as it is in India) and biryani - which tasted great but lacked the "richness" (aka calories from butter!) of more traditional preparation. Loved the dishes offered, different from what usually offered at other restaurants. Quantity with quality food. They didn't have panner biryani on the menu but they cooked one for us on our request. I mean!!!! I am extremely happy with everything about this place! I came in here with my bf for the first time. We didn't even bother to look on yelp we just went in and we got more than what we expected! From helping us get a seat to serving us and their service was so great. There was a wedding party in a separate room which their music was on point  I want to thank Maria for serving us and being the sweetest! Oh and the best part was the food! My god! Just finished eating at The Yellow Chili during their lunch buffet. Â $14.99 includes everything, and I think that's a fantastic deal! A family friend held a wedding shower here so my experience here would have been different from most customers. The restaurant interior was pretty cool. The restaurant had closed up part of the seating area to create a small makeshift banquet hall. The event had a buffet of their different appetizers including paneer tikka, chilli chicken, and aloo samosas and dosas. There was also a buffet style dinner with items including paneer makhani, chicken tikka masala, and assorted naan.The appetizers were delicious. My favorite was the chilli chicken, which had the perfect texture and flavorful taste, but the paneer tikka was pretty good too. I actually enjoyed the appetizers more than the actual dinner items from here. The paneer makhani and chicken tikka masala were good but not great.Overall good food and beautiful restaurant. The food here was amazing. We ate the Lzez Murgh Tikka Masala with rice and naan. We also had the Tandoori Prawns. The tikka masala was AMAZING and we plan to come back. The prawns however were a bit underwhelming for the price. It was dry and pretty expensive. But the main course made up for it. Our waitress Alesha was very pleasant and considerate. The food is superb and the buffet spread is a smorgasbord. So tasty. They have the usual suspects and some other items that you wouldn't normally find at other buffets. There are some unique fusion dishes which still please the palate. The indoor seating and ambiance is very comfortable and appealing. Serving staff is also commendable. But why the 4 stars? The cleanliness of the outside of the building and the waiting area need attention. It's off-putting to see a discarded plastic bag carelessly left on the indoor waiting bench as you walk in, a paper napkin on the floor by the entrance and random furniture and trash strewn around the parking lot.
