This place rocks, went to eat and play bingo tonite, had a riot. Met the owners, super friendly fun people! The atmosphere is fab, and the food is delicious! Definitely recommend

We had a "celebration of life" weekend for 33 family members coming in from 5 other states the weekend of August 3rd. We used motel rooms, the "house", and had 2 meals catered. They were so incredibly accommodating!!! We loved that they were "dog friendly". The "house" is gorgeous! We actually had our service in the living room (they helped us set up media for the event). We asked for a special recipe our catered dinner, which they made, and was delicious! The food was SO good and more than enough!!We also have gone up there to eat at the restaurant. We had our wedding at The Woods and were so pleased with it! The staff really made us feel like they were truly invested in our wedding and went above and beyond to make sure we were heard and felt like our needs were met. They were highly communicative, approachable and super fun! They were even able to accommodate all of our unusual requests! Black and bleu salad was very tasty. Nice assortment of greens, glazed pecans and cranberries sweet and tangy. The steak was done to my liking medium. I asked for their blue cheese dressing instead of the vinaigrette that it came with I was disappointed with the dressing not enough flavor or blue cheese. The salad presented well. My Grandson & Bride were married at the Gazebo that we minimally decorated because it needed no additions. We were blessed with a beautiful day, weather, setting, venue.
We were able to arrive and stay put, the Woods met all of our needs from breakfast before the ceremony to the great food for the wedding dinner,. Most staff ready and willing to assist any need or question.
It was one of the most beautiful weddings I've attended.

Had a late change of plans for lodging when we came into town for a baseball tournament. Found this place and walked through a room. They were clean but simple and we weren’t going to be there long anyway b/c of baseball games. Received by Katie at the restaurant/bar. She got us settled quick, efficient and w/ a smile. Also helped w/ a cooler that needed ice. Room worked out fine. Comfortable, cold a/c, quiet. Even had a night cap by the patio fire w/ some staff at the end of the night. Nice guys and personable. Very cool motif. Appreciate what the owners have done. Up early the next morning. Had breakfast and it was good but a little slow. But have to give’em a break because I came in before hours and kitchen may have not been in full gear. Katie set me up w/ coffee and some friendly conversation. Eventually ordered food, finished up, paid, and headed out to the games. Katie rocks! More...

Nice restaurant with lots of "wood" decor. One side has booths made out of wood and it is quiet. The other side is the bar. People we're watching a game on TV and having a good time. The food goes from burgers to steak and seafood. Great food and service. More...

So much can be said about this venue. They were super easy to work with and super flexible with how we wanted our wedding to go. As long as it's legal, they will allow anything that is able to work - We were able to have legal fireworks that pro sports teams get, we ended up having a 10 minute fireworks show that were better then the 4th of July. The Woods price is perfect to be able to allow you to spend in other areas, price is very nice when renting their indoor/outdoor venue. They have 2 houses on site you are able to rent so you don't ever have to leave or run to multiple different sites. The on site hotel helps guests to stay as well, they do also over shuttle services, golf cart, and more. The outdoors setting makes for great photos and a great venue. They do all the setup and take down of everything they own and supply the DJ equipment as well. Very cost effective and very helpful, they supply a lot to make sure your wedding goes off perfectly. I can't recommend this place enough, they kept in touch with us during the wedding and made sure that we were always supplied or helped out where needed. They even helped cover part of the cost of a band to come in the night before so we could have a pre-party/bachelor an bachlorette party on site. What an amazing place, amazing staff, amazing ac-commendation, amazing price, amazing food, and so much more. This place at a minimum is worth going to and speaking with them about what they can do, highly recommend going with them though to make for an easy wedding experience.Outside of a wedding venue, it's a fantastic place to eat and experience something different. The Woods was the most perfect venue I could have asked for! The grounds and ceremony site were beautiful and made for amazing photos! The entire staff was amazing! We got to tour the venue with the owner, Terri, and Becky, our event coordinator was always happy and helpful with any questions we had! Katie was also amazing helping with anything and everything we could have needed if Becky wasn’t available! She even helped me surprise my (now) husband with shots before we walked back down the aisle after the big “I do!” I couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married and kick off our lives together! The Woods is the place where everyone goes & everyone knows your name. They just keep getting better and better with more and more special events and neighborhood specials. The decor is the most amazing decor in all of the lakes area custom crafted by Luke himself. They have an outdoor fire pit, patio, ample seating, complimentary shuttle for parties of 10 or more and an adjacent event center for weddings, parties, banquets and community fundraisers. Oftentimes there is live music. Everyone's favorite sport or program is always on their several flat screens. The menu is absolutely amazing and they're always trying new things to put on the menu. If you are there at the right time you get to be the guinea pig! My all-time favorite dish is the school of sunnies. It is a plate of the most perfectly prepared panfish. Luke and Terri do such a tremendous job running this establishment. If you can't have fun here you can't have fun anywhere and I don't want to hang out with you. Haha! More...
