The Wayward Parlor

My new favorite place. There aren't a lot of salon options in SW atlanta so I did some IG and yelp stalking on Wayward for a few months before finally scheduling. I scheduled this morning through yelp and I was able to get an afternoon appointment with Hayley. My experience was great from start to finish. I walked in the door and Hayley and Alana were so freaking friendly. The salon has a different feel that other salons. It's very cozy and intimate because each stylist has there own "room" instead of a large open space where every stylist is next to each other. I have curly and very thick hair that's in the process of regrow. After terrible damage to my curls from over coloring , I've been trying to grow my virgin hair for a while. Hayley cut almost all of my dead hair off and my curls are POPPING! She and Alana teamed up to have a game plan on how to achieve the curly cut I wanted and I couldn't be happier.This was the best first experience I've ever had at a salon. Typically, it takes a few times to get a stylist to understand your vision but these ladies jumped right in. I finally went to Wayward Parlor after my neighbors implored me to go. I was not disappointed! Alana asked me loads of questions about my hair - how often I wash it, how do I style it at home, how do I want the ends to look, etc. The result? A perfect cut and style, exactly as I described. I jumped from stylist to stylist until I found Wayward Parlor by word of mouth. It was recommended to me by a friend who has exacting taste and I have never been disappointed. I could go to a salon closer to my house, but I want to really trust who I'm seeing. Alana has given me cuts and color with lots of range and flexibility. She really cares about giving consistent, high quality both from her own cuts/color and with the cuts/color of the other stylists at her salon. Needed a quick touch up in a pinch and Alana did an awesome job!  The salon is clean, conveniently located, and the staff friendly.  Will be back!
