$18 martini which was average at best. Can’t order a burger rare. The $12 onion soup was very good, but, it was a small portion. I’m more than happy to pay for quality. This wasn’t it. The side bar was a bit overcrowded for the present situation. The service was mediocre. More...

Waitress wasn't very attentive, told us valentines special without price ending up getting it and each entree for the special was $96 dollars and without a choice of a vegetable had to pay extra with for that. Did not get any butter with lobster tail and never got salt and pepper when asked for it. More...

Going backwards. The Valley Inn used to have one of the best hamburgers in Maryland. Not anymore. Before the Atlas group took over, the thick patty of more than half a pound could be ordered at the desired temperature and enjoyed with cut fries or any other freshly prepared side. Last night, the allegedly Angus hamburger consisted in two 4oz. pre-frozen patties which couldn’t be ordered less than medium, with an unrecognizable aioli sauce and surrounded by a bunch of frozen overcooked fries. Despite getting a McDonald’s style meal, the price remains at $15, plus $3 for ordering it with blue cheese on top. Unfortunately, they are following the group’s strategy that we found out at one of their other restaurants, the Choptank at Fells Point, where we ran into the same lousy hamburger. I hope The Valley Inn will reconsider their food to prioritize the quality and the satisfaction of their guests, instead of looking like the profit is their only consideration. 😔 More...

Beautiful atmosphere, great food. Our hostess 1/29 was wonderful, allowing us to move to the fireplace and handling e everything. I wish I had gotten her name.

Haven’t been to the Valley Inn for years but today was such a beautiful fall day we decided to go and sit outside to eat lunch. The atmosphere was lovely with the fire pit burning enough to take the chill off our table. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie due to the enticing description, however, was very disappointed with it. Although it had fresh mushrooms, carrots, onions and celery and a light crispy puff pastry topping, there was literally only one piece of chicken in the entire pot pie! I expressed my concern to the waiter to no avail. This was our first visit in probably 25 years when our memories of fine dining brought us back to see if it still was as great. Sadly, it was not. We arrived today asked for a table for 3 on the patio. It was less than 1/2 full. Was sat. Waited 15 minutes. 4 servers passed us numerous times and not 1 person approached the table. It was like we were invisible. We left and went to Tarks where we had very pleasant, attentive service. More...

Yesterday I hosted a small baby shower for my daughter-in-law at Valley. I have to let everyone know how wonderful the staff was. We never wanted for anything. They were attentive, they set everything up for us ahead of time and they were always checking to see if we needed anything. Thank you to all of you, especially Gordy, who were so accommodating. Thank you Andrew for all of your help while I was in the planning stage. Of course the food and drinks were excellent as they always are. A great time was had by all. Marty Sophocles More...

The music, food and service was awesome. One downside is my entire party could not get there because they could not find parking last night June 4th . The hostess was really great trying to accommodate this situation. More...

Wasn’t thrilled about the food and the service was horrible. Waitress did know any of the special had to ask numerous times what they were only to be told afterwards it was only in the bar area, we were never asked to sit in the bar. Brussels sprouts with bacon was absolutely disgusting sent them back asked for sweet potato to fries instead then was still charged for the Brussels sprout only to be told that was there policy. The waitress didn’t know what she was doing at all-very disappointed. The entire experience was a waste of money More...

Watch your credit card statements carefully when you’re at the Valley Inn!!! I’ve now been charged $240 for a $60 meal because the reckless server keeps swiping the card and “mistyping” the amount!
