The training project is not only a great place to get a workout, but it’s family. Everyone that attends this gym welcomes you with open arms and the trainers are absolutely amazing and motivating! I have been a client at The Training Project now for one year. I came to The Training Project with several goals in mind. One was to tone my body, the second to build muscle, and the third to increase my strength . This was a huge undertaking for me. I had never set foot in a gym before. I was welcomed, educated about the equipment, and how to use it. The trainers, Megan and Teri, worked closely with me and designed a program that fit me and my needs. They made modifications when and where necessary. I am happy to say that the trainers were able to help me succeed and even surpass my goals. I enjoy The Training Project so much that I attend five to seven sessions a week now. I have learned a lot about health and fitness. I have also met some great people. I had been doing one on one personal training with Megan for 8 months with excellent results so I was a little apprehensive about giving group sessions a try when she opened The Training Project. I have to say that I LOVE IT. The groups are small enough that you feel like you are getting one on one attention and the facility is so spacious and has great equipment in it that we couldn't use in her garage setting. I had two completely different workouts that tested my endurance and strength! I am excited and look forward to many more top notch workouts and who knows I may give spin a try! LOL I also trust Megan with her knowledge of fitness AND nutrition and if you do what she says you get results! More...

Almost one year later (Oct 2016) - time to update my review!!

I love working out here. I don't have to walk in and figure out what machines to use, how to use them and for how long. The two personal trainers (Megan and Teri) walk you through each exercise and offer modifications if needed. The various exercises that they set up help you gain strength and challenge your body to change; the routine is different each day of the week and it all changes every eight weeks.

I have belonged to your typical gyms in the past, where I felt lost, out of place and unsure what to do, so I go on the [insert cardio machine] for 30 minutes. This place is a 360 degree change from that. Yes, it is a little more expensive than a typical 'rent-a-treadmill' gym, but the help, guidance, direction is worth every cent. Megan and Teri truly care about seeing the change that you want and help you every step of the way.

I cannot thank them enough for helping me move towards the change I have wanted to see.

Ok so I know I'm biased but I went to the first training session at TTP and it was great!! I hadn't been able to get a training like that for years. Whole body without fancy gadgets. Truly excellent!!! Thanks ladies for letting me jump in and workout with you.

FYI: Make sure you sign up ahead of time. Space is limited in each session to keep it individual and maintain good training and flow. The app works great to let you do this!!!

I have gone through back and knee surgeries over the past 3 years never thought I was going be able to move normally again. I met Megan June of 2016 and it was truly life changing, she
Has brought me along through one on one training at first, too group training now. Her compassion and her desire to succeed with everyone she teaches is inspirational. TTP is second home, place to go and be positive. Love all the members great people !! Thank you for everything Meg your the best !!

I've been training with Megan and Teri at The Training Project since opening day, and I can't see myself ever going to another gym. I've learned so much about fitness, about healthy eating, and about my own capabilities since joining. I've also met a community of friends who support and challenge me to meet my goals, who provide motivation to not just "show up" for a workout, but to be an active participant in training my body. After recent surgery, my doctor was surprised at my rapid recovery. Since joining TTP, I have transformed my health! When you walk through the doors of TTP, its like walking into your families home. I love all the classes from GPT, Spin, Blast and all the classes in between. Q&As

On the first session, detailed conversation with the client is needed to asses WHY they are in search of a fitness professional. The "Why" often directs the course of action needed to specifically design a fitness plan for the client so they can reach their goals. Questions pertaining to their physical health in the past and current state are crucial for formulating an appropriate fitness plans. A client's health history is required to design a plan that is effective and SAFE for a client that may need special attention given past or current injuries or restrictions.

There's no secret, unfortunately... We all know what to do, eat healthy and move more. What I do is simplify, and organize those 2 points. I help you learn how to move properly and effective for you, and I teach you how to pair healthy foods to help improve your metabolism and fuel your workouts. I've always told my clients, "If you listen, it will work!"

What I love most, is the excitement and joy a client experiences when they reach their goals; when they accomplishment what they set out to do. When they look in the mirror and feel good about what they see and how they feel about themselves, it's the best feeling for me.

What inspired me to run my own business was to have the freedom to provide my services the way I thought was the best way. To not be bound to rules and policies of a big box gym. People are individuals, and therefore, there are individual circumstances. In order to reach a goal, sometimes you have to be able to step outside of the box.

I have over 16 years experience in the health industry. I am a fitness instructor, a personal trainer and nutrition coach. I've managed 2 gyms; one for operations and one for personal training. I held a full time personal training business out of my garage for 2 years before moving my business to a 4,000 square foot building consisting of machines and equipment to service clients 1 on 1 and in small groups.

From 2006-2012 I have competed in over 13 Figure competitions, taking first in my class twice and the overall title once on the National Level. Changing the body through food and exercise is what I do.

Services

In-home personal training brings to professional and training tools to you! All sessions are 60 mins.

Live, online virtual classes are held via Zoom and provide the client with an hour of motivating music, exercise demo and class coaching for a full body workout designed to help improve overall health and fitness and weight loss.
