I'll keep this pretty short because there's really only one thing to say about The Training Hall.  If you want to get strong - go here.  It's really the place to go to become stronger/fitter.  I mean, THE place to go.  The trainers/owners are some of the strongest people in the world (literally), and they really know what they're talking about, not just from reading a book, but from experience (lots of it).  One of the best places to go to if you're serious about Strongman/Strongwoman competitions or skills. There is no better place to go in Ventura/LA county than this, in my opinion.  That's really all that needs to be said. More...

The Training Hall is an amazing gym!  The trainers and members are knowledgeable and helpful.  I have always been nervous about lifting heavy weights but I feel very comfortable at this gym and I know I am receiving great training and guidance.  And it is a lot of fun!  Romark is fantastic and the training you will get at this gym is unlike any other gym in the area.  The gym welcomes all fitness levels and I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a great workout. Had a great experience at The Training Hall and even got to meet the man Odd himself. He is a great guy and has a great group of people that train there. Everyone was crazy helpful and even got some one on one with some Pro Stongman (Martins and Mike). Told my wife it was like going to a football camp and getting trained by Payton Manning! Thanks to Chris as well for kicking my butt with his conditioning class and Kyle for schooling me on MAS Wrestling. As you can see I got to experience a wide variety of training with some world class athletes. More...

I've been training at this place for a little under a month and I don't see myself training anywhere else in the near future. Everyone here is motivated and driven to be better than their previous selves and they are supportive of others doing the same. The weights are top quality and in abundance. The staff there is willing to coach you and even help you with stretching and program design. If you are serious about training, The Training Hall is where you need to be. More...

If you want to get "significantly" stronger, then be prepared to be inspired by this training facility's coaches and patrons. Just the shear knowledge-base and combined experience under this roof is already worth it. Strongman,powerlifting,olympic- weightlifting, mas-wresteling, and everything in between is exercised here on a weekly basis. This place is particularly motivating because it tailors to all levels of athletes (there are plenty of jaw dropping BEASTS here too...Mr.Haugen and Mr.Licis to name a couple). Pound-for-pound, kilo-for-kilo, stone-for-stone, and $-for-$...This is the ideal place to become very well rounded and vastly stronger than when you entered. More...

If you want to be a strongman competitor you won't find a better place to train in the world, let alone Southern California. Not only do you get the opportunity to train with the legend Odd Haugen himself, but his entire team of trainers are unbelievably knowledgeable. Current WSM athlete Martins Licis trains here and is a wealth of knowledge. One of the major bonuses is you get to see historic equipment used in World's Strongest Man and other big competitions. For example, try to pick up the Thomas Inch Dumbbell with one hand and be immediately humbled. Even though I have my own gym with all the equipment I need I still travel a few hours away every couple of months to train at The Training Hall. Every time I do, it's worth it! More...

The Training Hall is worth traveling to. Everyone is treated like family from the minute you walk through their doors. This is not a commercial gym with people coming in and out after each workout, its not a place you pass through as part of your day, this is a gym you purposely stop at, have a great time at, and develop friendships that will help you succeed with any goals you set. No matter your shape, size, skill or lack of skill, it's a gym worth traveling to. My husband and I travel more than 70 miles every Saturday to train at this gym and it's worth every mile. The trainers in the gym are always there, ready and willing to help you reach what ever goal you set. As a female, going to the weight-lifting section of a gym intimidated me.  All the mirrors, the people who seemed to know what they are doing were not a great inspiration.  What do I need for an excellent workout?  Accountability.  Guidance.  Encouragement.  And that push to do one more when on my own I would have given up 5 reps earlier.  I am not a strongman.  And, while I will not be on any competition circuit, I have found a home among some very strong people.  At heart, I'm a trail runner, a mom, a regular person.  I am looking for toned strength, not bulk; flexibility; and injury prevention.  My new haven is The Training Hall.  I'm meeting with Romark 3 days per week, and he is respectful, knowledgeable, and is pushing me to go beyond my own self-established limits.   He keeps an online record that monitors my progress, and each session is unique and individualized.  Everyone here is friendly.  This is an excellent place for anyone trying to do more.  Monday was legs day.  Yesterday was arms and back... and - oh yes -  I'm feeling it as I type.  But it feels good.  Can't wait for tomorrow. Strongest gym in Ventura County, period.  Whether its weightlifting, powerlifting, strongman, highland games, or just general fitness you're interested in, the Hall has you covered. The Training Hall houses some specialty equipment that you wont find at any other gym in the area, and has more bumper plates in kilos and old school iron in pounds thats actually humanly necessary.  There's no shortage of weightlifting barbells that actually spin, stiff competition powerlifting barbells that aren't bent, and niche bars that you won't find anywhere else. The trainers and coaches are extremely knowledgeable and do not hesitate to share their cues and tips with you - they just want to see you get better in whatever capacity.  There are coaches in there with diverse competition backgrounds, impressive resumes, and the working knowledge to clean up your movement, keep you healthy, and get you STRONG.Whether you're a seasoned competitor in a strength sport or looking to get your feet wet, the Hall houses the perfect atmosphere to train, not just "workout."  Everybody gets behind you on a heavy attempt, and the team athletes fire you up like nothing else.  Come check out what they're all about - you will be happy you did.
