The Theatre at Ace Hotel

The food in the hotel is priced reasonably and we ate out locally a handful of times. The pool bar provides an excellent all you can eat breakfast with hot/cold buffet, tea, coffee, juices etc included for only few bucks.

The rooms here were very quiet, which is what I was after being on a business trip. I found the breakfast service to be a little slow in the restaurant, but overall everyone was very nice and welcoming.

The service at the Ace Hotel was absolutely excellent. From checking in to getting our bags into our car from the valet, the staff was so accommodating. ||||The room was also pretty great. The only thing is there weren't any soap bars in our hotel room (do the other hotels come with soap bars?) and I think the bathroom tiles need to be re-grouted in the shower. ||||Otherwise, it was such a great stay-cation and we definitely want to check out the other Ace Hotels! From our arrival to checkout, our stay at Ace Hotel was flawless. We chose the hotel because we were going to the James Blake concert next door. How convenient to park once to see a show and have fun shopping right outside the front door?!||Michael assisted us at check in and instantly made us feel at home.||We had drinks and small plates at Upstairs with happy hour pricing while watching the sunset. Both the service and flavors were amazing! After the concert, we returned to our cozy room and enjoyed items from the well-stocked mini bar. Breakfast at Best Girl was delicious and again, terrific service!||When on the elevator, the hotel GM, Saye Kokeh, introduced himself and gave us his card should we need any assistance. I had only stayed one night but overall it was a great time. The rooms were clean and unique, with a nice view of the city life below. I never had the chance to experience the rooftop bar or the theater. I gave a 4/5 because at 8am someone knocked on my door and had me panic. They left before I was able to answer so I am not sure if it was staff or a random. The Ace has a great DTLA location and cool vibes all around. Everyone from the valets to the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooftop is fantastic and Best Girl, Ace's in-house restaurant, has amazing breakfast and Jenna is their Best Girl!!
