I cannot begin to tell you how impressed my husband and I were with Mike Keo and The Terrible Child Photography. They've done photoshoots for our Big Fat Greek Wedding, and we loved them so much, we decided to do another photoshoot with our wedding clothes on a different day for a different effect. I've always been a fan of his work, the way he captures the human spirit, emotion, his use of bright colours, his eye for composition and the way he captures light. He's super incredible with people, getting even my most camera shy 5 year old cousins to crack a smile behind the camera on their 4th and 5th birthday party bashes. Mike and his team are incredible. He was always on top of everything! Prior to the wedding he contacted all of our vendors to work with them on timing and work out all details so everything would be easy on us.

Mike and his team flew out from Connecticut to photograph our three full days of wedding in Orange County, California. Every day Mike and his team were at our locations early surveying the area looking for the best shot, and working late in to the next morning to edit and show us the incredible photos they had taken the previous day. I'm not sure when he sleeps, but despite those crazy hours he was always energetic and eager for the next days events. Whatever picture we wanted, no matter how demanding he made sure that we got want we wanted and it was always beautiful. His understanding of lighting and technique are far beyond my husband and I's comprehension and one thing is clear that Mike is the real deal, he's an artist always working for that perfect shot.

Mike was more than a photographer and though it was my husband first time meeting him he blended in like an old friend to him. My husband and I are not naturally photogenic, so Mike worked hard to put us at ease and ensure we were comfortable. He really was a source of tranquility in otherwise chaotic grueling three days of wedding. Never have i seen a vendor work so hard. He made sure every shot was perfect, whether it was sprinting at full speed to get his gear so he would not miss a moment, to the acrobatics he would perform to get the right angle for his shot while always making sure to be unobtrusive to the events. The many grass stains in his stylish suits showed the hard work he put in so we could have our memories.

We had a destination wedding in Siem Reap, Cambodia and having Mike with the Terrible Child there was one of the best decisions we made. Two words...DREAM TEAM! Mike and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. I met Mike at a bridal show a year and a half before my wedding day. He was the only photographer I met with and I knew as soon as I met him that I was going to hire him. He is such an amazing person and if you have seen even one of his photos, you already know he is a Photo-God. The photographs were the one thing I was worried about in the weeks leading up to my wedding. However, as soon as Mike, Rob, and Brandon arrived, all my doubts went right out the window. They all were super professional, insanely fun, and knew exactly what they were doing. They captured everything we wanted on the wedding day and did it so quickly! My family and bridal party are still talking (2 months later) about how fun these guys were, and how they were like ninjas on the wedding day! They were all over the place, capturing all the important moments. My family was dreading our portraits...thinking they were going to take forever and be super boring. However Mike got through everything so fast and had everyone laughing all day long. My husband and I just recently got our photos back from Mike and we are still speechless! They are the most beautiful things we have ever laid our eyes on and we can't stop looking at them. Mike doesn't take pictures to fulfill his job requirements, he takes them because it is his passion and it's something he loves. His love for photography shows through the quality if his pictures. He is so nice, and uses the connection he has with his clients to create beautiful pictures.
Mike was completely willing to work with us around our budget, at the same time never wavering from quality. He visits the church and venue before the wedding and plans out the pictures he would like to take, so there is no wasted time. He is all for a couple actually enjoying their reception! At the same time, he is more than happy to take any pictures you or your families request. After the wedding, all of our guests gushed over how wonderful our photographer was. Mike and his team are the best- look no further! I am just speechless right now. Mike just revealed our photos to us - he spent 3+ hours at our house with us. He captured every raw emotion, every detail and request. The photos are the most beautiful we have ever seen. He spent the time to walk us through the hundreds of photos, help us decide what custom art would look good in our house and is in the process of helping us develop an album. I cannot say enough about how wonderful a service I received with The Terrible Child Photography. Mike went above and beyond to make sure he had the right coverage for our wedding, even if that meant having a few extra photographers on hand. Not many times in life where you get a chance to work with a great person and a great photographer. My husband and I were referred to Mike from another couple. We met him at a local coffee shop and hired him on the spot! Not only were we impressed with the quality of the sample work he showed us but we were in love with his personality, professionalism and open-mindedness and knew he was the perfect fit. We had planned on having a friend of ours do our engagement shoot but schedules didn't work out. I reached out to Mike and he was more than accommodating in sneaking us in at the last minute so we could have snow on the ground for our pictures. The whole shoot was a riot! We were incredibly impressed as he rolled around the snow in his wool coat just to get the perfect shot of us! We laughed the entire time. Fast forward to our wedding day...I could not have asked for a better photographer. Mike was entertaining and truly made my entire wedding party feel like we belonged in front of Tyra on America's Next Top Model! We finished our first look, family portraits and extra photos an hour before the ceremony! Mike and his team captured our day exactly as it took place and our album truly emanates the all the crazy emotions of the day. I knew Mike in college before he was a photographer. I had a friend who went to a wedding he was working at and after she told me I had to look up his work! I was totally amazed and impressed how much work he had done and the places he traveled to create such beautiful pictures. His pricing was also unbeatable with the wedding book included with his packaged deal. He made my experience so personal and us so comfortable at our engagement shoot, that we knew the wedding day would run smooth. He makes it fun and carefree that I wish I could get photo shoots all the time! Even up to the wedding he did his research and would check up on his continuously to make sure that nothing was stressing us out. The day of the wedding even my florist said he was very helpful in setting up the venue and creating such a vision. That was great to hear! He asked what was most important to us and he made sure that he got shots that I wanted. He even made it a point to make sure we got to spend time with friends and family during the cocktail hour rather than stand there and take pictures the entire time. I got my pictures back so quickly and is very happy that I can't stop looking at the pictures. The Terrible Child Photography is AMAZING. Mike and his assistant are professional, fun, creative, open-minded, flexible, and incredibly talented. My husband and I had so much fun at our engagement shoot - there was a great balance of posed shots and candids and Mike always caught us at the right moment for a photo. On our wedding day, Mike and his assistant took SO many beautiful pictures; they did a great job of capturing everyone who attended our wedding and were all over the venue taking pictures. Mike Keo and The Terrible Child Photography were amazing from beginning to end. After I contacted him initially, Mike asked to meet with us to get to know us "as a couple" and get a feel for the style that we were looking for. I had already seen some of his work at a bridal show but he brought along plenty of samples for hubby to see too which confirmed that he was a perfect fit for our wedding. He was in touch with us well before the big day to make sure he was kept updated on time frames and meeting spots and to make sure that he got all the shots we didn't want to miss. He, his second shooter and their lighting guy were with us all day from beginning to end (no time limit) which was something that I had been very concerned about in a case we ran over at the reception, I didn't want to miss anything important! He also got to know all of our other vendors beforehand and facilitated timing and organizing everyone for us at the reception. The shots he and his second shooter took were classy, artistic and some were VERY funny which was perfect for us. He was also able to get all of the shots that we asked for and take plenty of candids without keeping us away from our guests or being intrusive and our guests even said how much fun the two of them were when they were working the dance floor!
