The Tasteful Kitchen is one of the best choices in town for healthy eating. Health is extremely important to me and it's often hard to go out and enjoy a restaurant experience without feeling I'm compromising my diet and nurtrition. Not here! They have tons of raw, organic, vegan, and vegetarian options. And the cooks are amazing... The food is absolutely mouth watering and divine. After two weeks of touring Arizona and eating uninspired food in remote locations, we were delighted to find The Tasteful Kitchen just a short walk from our final stop in Tucson. Staff were friendly, the restaurant is peaceful and well designed. There's an interesting menu with a lot of variety for vegetarians. I was amazed by how tasty the food was here. If you are in for a nice and long dining session, I would totally recommend this place. The service was really good, he knew his menu and if it was too much for us as an appetizer or not. The nachos were the best part of the evening. My friends were amazed by how good it was as well. This is a small intimate restaurant. It’s a vegetarian place with all vegan options but one. I asked why she doesn’t just drop the one item to make it officially “vegan”, and her answer was the greatest thing ever. She offers a vegan carrot cake that her mom personally makes. Most restaurants in Tucson, AZ are of a mexican fare with an American twist. I wanted something different so I searched online for such a place. The Tasteful Kitchen lives up to its name. The food is fresh and delicious. The chef is very creative in creating unexpected vegan/vegetarian dishes. The wait service was very knowledgeable, professional and similar to a five star restaurant. The ambiance and decor was modern, chic, and colorful with original art for sale. I liked the fact that all money transactions are done on the spot at the table. It was unexpected and I wasn't prepared. I miss calculated the tip in haste but corrected it in cash once realized. Vegan fine dining in downtown Tucson!! This place is fantastic, very cozy atmosphere and tucked away in a walkable part of downtown Tucson. Kind of a hidden gem actually. Had the cauliflower steak which was delicious and was accompanied by their minestrone soup which was equally good. All fresh ingredients mostly sourced locally.
