Amazing Bloody Mary (actually one of the best I've had)!! Bacon me crazy Bloody Mary is a must garnished with candied bacon (yum)! Kelly the bar tender/manager, provided service with a smile. Just hit up Sweet & Salty Pig for the first time. We both got the special poutine burger which was killer!! The fresh pork rinds were still popping when they arrived at the table. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Service could have been slightly more prompt as we sat quite a while waiting for our leftovers to be boxed/get our check and we had some drinks run dry, but they were pretty busy even at 3pm on a Saturday. They were open til 10.  I ordered to go and had great conversation with the bartender, whose name I think is Sara. I ordered based on her recommendation and am very happy I did, even though living in Houston I was suspect about the brisket grilled cheese sandwich. Now that was an adult grilled cheese sandwich and what a  surprise on the coleslaw. May only be in this area once a year but would certainly come back. Salty pig was recommended by a family member as a lunch spot on the way back home to Illinois.  Totally worth the detour!  Husband and I both had the grilled cheese with brisket .  That sandwhich was even great cold!  We did get the Zucchini fritters and they were wonderful while hot.  I would ease up on the garlic just a bit.  Had the peanut butter and bacon cookie...it was fine, just not really my cup of tea.  I would go back to explore the menu some more! I've written a number of lengthy reviews in the past, and this won't be one. OMG so good.  I had the Southwest Benny.  It was an explosion of texture and flavor like I've never before experienced.  Looking over the menu, the crowd of satisfied customers around me and the full parking lot at 2:30 in the afternoon, this restaurant will become a regular stop for me.  The menu is full of unusual foods like you'll not encounter anywhere in Central Wisconsin!!! Stopped here on a drive up north and was no disappointed. Service was prompt and they have so many delicious choices on the menu. I had brunch and my husband could order lunch (even though it was 9 am) so he was way happy too. I'd definitely come back to try the peanut butter bacon cookies... kinda bummed I didn't get one to go. Prices are very reasonable and everything super tasty. If you're in the area definitely give this place a try. The food was fantastic- I had the prosciutto and spinach flat bread and the southwest salad and both were delicious. The guys and I stopped for lunch during the work day. The service was excellent, and the food was fabulous. I ordered the house Cuban with cheese curds. .. the food arrived at our table, piping hot and fresh only about 10 minutes later. The breading in the curds was absolutely perfect... nice amount of salt and crunch. As far as the Cuban.... Dang! Pulled pork, ham, bacon, dijon mustard, and oodles of melty gouda on an herb focaccia... my mouth is still watering thinking about it. With soft drinks, expect to be paying $15-20 per person. Stopped for lunch and had the Cuban Sandwich. The sandwich was awesome with tasty pork and it was grilled perfect so crunchy on outside but still soft inside. For my side, I was in the mood for something different so I ordered Zucchini and wild rice as a side. Turned out to be a patty that is pan fried (something like crab cakes style) with Tuziki sauce on top. They were really good. I was trying to be a little healthier but It was worth the calories. It's zucchini, how bad can it actually be right? There was a special grilled cheese pork sandwich which looked good as well but being the first visit, I had to go with the standard menu to get the authentic experience.I would definitely eat here again if I come back to Fond du Lac again. We eat a late lunch and enjoyed the meals. Our server was Randle and he was knowledgeable about the menu and helped us order very good choices. Breakfast joint meets bar. There's a large bar at the center of the restaurant, with high tops and some booths filling out the rest. Lots of windows so the place is bright. There are breakfast options served all day long, with several eggs Benedict choices. I got the quinoa bowl, which was a bit of a misnomer, because it was more of a scrambled egg bowl, with quinoa scrambled into the eggs, along with veggies and a Greek yogurt sauce. Great spot in Fon Du Lac! We knew we would be driving through on New Year's Day, so we called in advance. While they don't take reservations, since they knew a group of 16 was coming, they seated people so that they left a group of tables together for us. Couldn't ask for more. The food was great! this place was amazing!! my mom got the little piggy breakfast sandwich and added bacon (cause why not, it's bacon!). She was going to order the bacon jelly on the side because she was unsure of how it would taste, but wow was she glad she didn't! It completely leveled up this breakfast sandwich! The ham, bacon, and eggs were delicious in itself but the bacon jelly & pretzel bun really made this sandwich stand out! Definitely suggest ordering! I had the breakfast quesadilla and i added mushrooms. it was also very good! a little messy, but worth it! it has feta cheese inside, so a little bit different than a usual quesadilla, but super delicious. I ordered the tots & beer cheese dip, soooooo goooooood!!!!! We also had $1 off drinks for brunch happy hour. We got the irish cream coffee and a grapefruit mimosa, both very delicious! I've heard nothing but good things from my fellow Yelpers, so I was extra excited to try this place out.  Maybe because of the name, I thought this was a BBQ restaurant. ..it's not. It's a brunch/American (New) restaurant that's very "meat focused."  There're almost too many options on the menu...it was kind of hard to decide.  But all the food was fantastic. The first thing that caught my eye was the BBQ Pork Eggrolls appetizer.  It's two eggrolls cut in half lathered in BBQ sauce, laying on a bed of coleslaw...YUM! That could have been my meal right there.  I was craving meat, so I went with the half rack of ribs which came with a jalapeno cornbread, a choice of side and soup.  Remember when I mentioned lots of items are "meat focused," well I got pork chili (awesome!) and a deli salad which had ham cubes in it. The ribs were tender and juicy, and the meat came right off the bone when separating the ribs.  I was more than happy with my meal. The lack of a star would because of the space when waiting.  I went on a Friday night at 6pm and the place was packed (which is awesome), and we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table.  That's okay, I've waited longer than that. The issue is there's a small little hallway from the entry doors, and when you enter the restaurant there really isn't anywhere to stand and NOT be in someone's way.  If you're lucky maybe you catch a spot at the bar and get a drink. If I'm sitting at the bar, I have no problem eating there instead of waiting for a table. The bar takes up a good amount of space.  As much I love drinking, they might be better off replacing the bar with tables and get more butts in there...or at least have a smaller bar that just prepares drinks for the servers.  All in all, this is a hot spot in Fond du Lac and worth the trip.  Just be ready to wait if you go at a popular time of day. What a gem! I think it might actually be Hog Heaven. I hope Fond Du Lac appreciates what it has here. Passing through on a road trip up I-41 and turned to Yelp to find a good brunch spot. So, so glad we did. Everything is made from scratch and cooked perfectly. The menu creation was inspired -- lots of unique and tasty looking items. (Breakfast menus are often the same ol' stuff everywhere, but not here.) I got the breakfast flatbread with a side of tots and my guy got the Santa Fe scramble with a lemon ricotta pancake on the side. There aren't many foods that I enjoy more than bacon. Unfortunately, most restaurants just aren't very creative infusing this savory ingredient into their offerings. Enter The Sweet & Salty Pig - a comfortable, welcoming & friendly atmosphere coupled with a daringly delicious menu of entrees, appetizers, drinks & desserts that features traditional items infused with flavor & creativity through the use of bacon & other sweet, salty or spicy combinations. I live about an hour away & I am positive I'll be back. The amazing menu is only outshined by the fun, friendly staff who made me feel like an old friend from the moment I walked in the door. Highlights of my meal: seasoned pork rinds, creamy cole slaw, and the Bloody Mary w/ candied bacon. My entree was phenomenal as well. I was here during that after lunch before dinner time on a Wednesday and at one point we were the only patrons in the place, but I hear they can get packed during the usual lunch & dinner times.
