We asked Danielle to customize a sweet table for my daughter's bridal shower.  She was more than accomodating in a week's notice and created the most amazing bite-size desserts.  She made chocolate caramel cheesecakes which honestly was the best cheesecake I have ever tasted.  And, because the bride is a fan of Reeses PB cups, she made a special bar-type dessert that tasted just like the candy (which the bride was so pleased with).  The mini cinnamon rolls are so fresh and gooey, and the brownies were like you just baked them yourself. The best part of the day was that she made individual cups of her grandma's banana pudding recipe, which we served as the passed dessert after lunch.  It was such a nice surprise for the guests.  Danielle is such a talented and gifted baker.  My guests have not stopped texting me after the shower to rave about the desserts!What a treasure to have in our town!! Place seemed to have a lot of regulars. The scan menu was on the outside of the door which to me seemed a little strange. My favorite menu item was the breakfast potatoes . Large portions! My boyfriend had the little wolf sandwich and I had the sausage breakfast sandwich.  Both were tasty.  Coffee to me was only ok.We took a cinnamon roll to go and ate it the next day. It was huge! I don't get the hype,  maybe for the regulars that live nearby it is decent.  The burgers were nothing special, they were okay. Not bad, not good, definitely not worth a special trip.The food did come quickly which was nice.All of the employees ( 6+  it's a tiny place) were nice enough.I guess I was just let down after looking forward to it and all the great reviews. There are a few things they could do that would take and hour or so of attention that would make it nicer inside as well.  Replace burnt out bulbs, clean up the dust around the booths and windows, restock the napkins and condiments. Update:  Popped back over for another visit and honestly, it's just an absolutely wonderful place.  The food tastes so fresh and you can simply tell the difference!  A place that is independently owned with owners like these will get my money and keep me as a customer forever.  They are incredibly kind and they epitomize hospitality!  I was talked into the Egg LVR sandwich and it was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had... period.  Get it with ham!  And again.. the ketchup.. so sweet and fresh... love it!!!  I told them that I'm going to come in again soon and request a weird sandwich, hopefully they will try it with me!  Thank you for your warmth, effort, care, and love that you all put into your food and your restaurant!!! One of the must visit places for breakfast and brunch I know so far. Although the place is just small, it really has the best and delicious food for breakfast that can even satisfy your craving base on my experience. It also has a few but definite good selection on their menu. I've been here for four times including my recent visit to the place and based from experience, the place has a wonderful decorations, cozy atmosphere and vibe and friendly and fast service. It is just sad that they closed their restaurant early that I really have to save time just to go in here before it closes. They offer breakfast and brunch menu, pastries, coffee and the likes and from the foods that I ordered in here everything is literally delicious and full of flavor. Small restaurant and it feels like you're sitting in the kitchen. Staff is super friendly. Now to the food. Cinnamon rolls as big as your head. Great dough. Interesting interior decor.  Some movie collectibles,  kind of cool!  Somewhat limited seating, maybe 5 tables but I dont think you need to wait too long if they are full.  Everything came out in styrofoam containers which is great if you need to take unfinished portions to go, which may not happen because you'll want to finish your food.My daughter and I grabbed a quick bite.  Her mac with bacon was awesome.  Creamy, and bacon pieces were thick and chunky.  My salmon lovers sandwich was really good.  Just a hint of butter in the bread, the smoked salmon was great and just the right amount of mayo and onions.I saw a window where I think people can just walk up and order to go. I just recently found this new gem in Westmont. It was my first time and at first glance I really like the ambiance and the vibe of the place. It is clean and the decorations inside are all really cute and lovely. It does not end to that because their staff is also warm and accommodating. I was greeted by their friendly staff after I walked inside. The place is not busy and there are also few people that are eating inside but it is not crowded. Their menu has a lot of options but it is early in the morning so I ordered only their house burger and fries. I honestly did not wait too long because the food was served in a quick. It is hot and freshly cooked. The burger has a nice portion and it is delicious served with handful of well-seasoned and crispy fries. It feels kind of heavy to me but the food was really great and the price is fair and pretty cheap too. I highly recommend this place. This place is consistently amazing! The food here is really great! All of their food on the menu are fresh, new, and made to order. They will serve your orders after waiting for just a few minutes. Their service here is so fast and quick. They all work so fast and excellent. They are very accommodating. All of the employees here are friendly and professional. They all know how to properly talk to all of their customers and also they all know how to serve the customers so well. The staff here will surely give you so many reasons to come back and order again. They really love doing their job. All of them are willing to help their customers all the time. Very personable staff. This place is very accessible and so easy to find. They are also near to other well-known places around the area. I live very close by for years and never visited! It was delicious! I had the tomato soup, it was thick, hearty and comforting amazing! Also, the cheeseburger and fries was so top notch . Stopped here today for a sandwich with my mom.  The first thing you notice is how friendly the staff is.  The girl at the register was incredibly pleasant.  Food is cooked to order here, so you have to wait a little bit, but that's ok by us.  The prices are very fair and you get a lot of bang for your buck here.  We asked if there was a park nearby to sit in and a gentleman in there told us of one, so we drove there and it was pleasant.  The food was prepared correctly and again, was quite a large portion.  I ordered the Lil Wolf, which is like a half sandwich of their breakfast sandwich.  My biggest knock?  It was really quite salty... almost over the top.  Could have been the style of cheese they use or maybe someone was a bit heavy handed.  I will say this though, that ketchup they serve there, HOLY COW!  It's amazing!  Tastes homemade and has a really nice sweetness to it!  We will definitely be back to try other things and experience it again.  We always like supporting smaller places as opposed to chain restaurants! I've eaten at The Sweet & Savory Spot a handful of times and I've been impressed every time. Staff/service is great. Food is always amazing. I always try to pick up their limited specials that are usually announced the previous day on instagram! Stumbled upon this delightful breakfast spot over the weekend and it certainly lived up to its name! I came across this place by searching Yelp for a lunch spot labeled "good for kids." I was taking my niece's and nephew for lunch before heading to the arboretum, and my sister decided to come along, too. I didn't realize just how small this place was based on the photos. They have four tables for four and a small bench seating area for a few more people. However, two tables of people left as we ordered our food at the counter, and we were able to move one chair to make it work well for a table of 5. This is a cute place right downtown. I went with the intent of trying the pulled jackfruit sandwich and it did not disappoint. I'd never had jackfruit before. While it doesn't have the same consistency of pork, the crunch of the cabbage compensated for the texture difference. The sauce was thick with a great, spicy flavor. I'd love to try their lentil sloppy John as well. My sister got the chili mac, which was phenomenal. My niece's grilled cheese (the adult version) was also amazing. There was a lot of cheese and the press was cooked perfectly. The prices were quite reasonable. Always loved the food HOWEVER if you order delivery you don’t order EXTRA food so when an entree isn’t available you don’t simply knock that off the ticket and fail to contact the customer or say a dang thing to them. If there is an entire entree missing that means someone in the party has no food. How is that considered OK ? I realize you can run out of items but it is ridiculous to not even try to give the customer a chance to order a replacement. Simply leaving it off and thinking that is good enough isn’t ok in any stretch of the imagination.
And the owner acted as if I was the unreasonable one. So dang disappointed.

So basically I recommend the food but absolutely don’t recommend doing delivery. More...

Super cute spot with a walk up window to order from while your waiting on the train. My husband and I got the breakfast sandwich and the loaded breakfast potatoes. The sandwich was huge and was pretty tasty. You could honestly split it with another person and have plenty. the loaded potatoes were good with the sausage gravy on top.  I also got a coffee with cream. I give this place 4 because the food was good but the coffee was extremely week. Maybe i just got a badly brewed cup I don't know but it was pretty bad. Over all... I would eat here again.
